I had a custom playmat made for me. It came out great and was exactly how I put it in. Unfortunately, I made a minor mistake that somehow got past me and the multiple people I had check it. It is a small but noticeable white spot.
My question is there a way I can fill in the mistake, like coloring it in to match the painted image? If so, what is the best way to?
Depends on the material. If it is on the normal mouse pad feeling stuff, markers might be the way to go. Might, is the key word here. I don't know if the play mat artists seal their work in. From what I can tell some do and some don't. As Duxx put it, an image of the affected area and maybe something for scale? And by markers I'm thinking along the lines of Primacolor/Copic type art markers. They seem to be rather permanent.
-seeing as I was late in posting this...
I'm guessing you are talking about the spot above her lip, correct? That black line around said spot makes it quite difficult to cover. If it can be covered at all. As strange as it sounds, it look like it is quite easy to miss.
Acetone would likely remove the black mark around that white spot. After that, use a Copic marker.
I will try the acetone. I do not have those markers and they cost quite a bit. A lot more than it would to replace the mat. Is there any other (cheaper) mehtods to color it and look it natural?

Colored markers would be best. Is the image screen printed or an actual painting?
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's too late to stop reading it....

Thank you for the advice. I really appreciate it despite it not working.
