Endless Horizons looks like a book sitting on a table with grain growing out of it, like you are finding land in a book, which is kind of what the card does.
Like Kuberr said, it's hard to make it out on the computer, but go and grab a Major Teroh and take a look. The card looks like it got scanned in, cropped down and printed off a shoddy printer. It's one of the most computerized, pixellated cards out there. Ugh.
That actually happened to every white card in the set. It's not really a problem with the art itself; the art is beautiful IMO.

MTGS: Where criticism of staff is a bannable offense.

My sig is not trolling. And it's not opinion, it's fact.
And I'm not changing it. I'm not gonna be browbeated by a moderator, simply because you don't like the fact that I'm bringing to light that the staff suspends half-decent posters, while allowing trolls to run rampant.
Well, you've still got about fourteen hours before you're infracted for noncompliance. Talk to whomever you want.
Wild Leotau from Conflux. Something about the art bothers me, most likely the hooves.
I think its that the ONLY thing about the Leotau than changed from a lion are the hoves. I would have thought the legs would be a little different too... It just looks awkward.
7th redwood treefolk is ridiculous. I actually hated a lot of the art from seventh edition. Especially the lands. Ugh.
On the leotau: I don't really mind the hooves, but I don't really see how a lion with hooves is more badass than a lion without hooves. They don't sound as dangerous as claws.
Unless there's claws IN the hooves. But that's just crazy talk.

A card game about Presidents. Stabbing each other. With knives.
Creepiest art EVER. You just surfaced all those nightmares i had after seeing that art for the first time.
I know it's mean, but man that face, it gives me the willies. *shivers*
Yeah, that's why I was hesitant to see him reprinted. Soooooo glad he got new artwork, it's way more fitting. The new Cho-Manno looks like a proud leader, a guy who could stir up trouble. The old Cho-Manno looks like a pedophilic Hare Krishna.
Though for pure creepiness, nothing beats the Clergy.
Has anyone seen Child of Alara? Blech, a giant mutant baby, ewww... The only thing it is good for is attracting pedobear...
Thornling... sigh another horrible art. I mean, it looks like a magic beast, why? Because Wizards seems to believe that a big green dude is something with massive horns. :/ Thorn Elemental's art is more appropriate than this one.
I'm going to have to 2nd this. While a lot of cards have bad art anything done by her looks awful. She is the only artist I will actively avoid obtaining cards that her work shows up on (I'll use an older/newer version that doesn't have her art on it).
On the flip side I like pretty much any art by the brothers Hildebrant, Kev Walker, or Parente.

Getting into Modern if you have any commons/uncommons you want to unload for cheap (everything before Zendikar needed). My trade list.
I dislike most things from Thomas Baxa. His work is applied to far more cards than it actually works on style-wise. His stuff just looks so unfinished compared to most MtG artists.
I also got sick of Glen Angus during OLS block. Too repetitive.
I like Kev Walker but I also dislike Thornling's departure from those that camebefore. I just cannot fathom why they chose to do that. I mean, that art could've been put on pretty much any big stupid fattie. Fail.
I guess I'm the only person who likes Rebecca Guay's artwork for being simple, yet effective >_>
Speaking as an artist myself, I really enjoy almost all the artwork on the cards, save for the really early stuff (probably because Wizards didn't have the funds to commission people with amazing talent, like Puddinhead or Chippy).

Meh, if you like Parente, I guess you prefer comic-book superhero looks to elegant storybook looks.
I think Rebecca Guay is probably a little "fluffy" for some people, but they use her art really well in the game, whenever they need an elegant elf art, etc.
As for you liking the Hildebrant brothers... and would you try to strip the bark from a treefolk?!
(wow, never saw that Redwood Treefolk art before.. that's bad.)
Agreed. It doesn't look like a 0/2 at all, but it's pretty cool looking and uses texture a lot better than most of the cards from the Golden Age. I like it more than the Viking Jabba Skiff that we have in M10.
While there are certain illustrations/artists that aren't to my liking, I hesitate to single out any one person as being the "crappiest" since, as they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
That said, I have never, ever understood how the Legends Presence of the Master made it to print. This isn't a card that looks bad because of technique, nor is it a card that looks bad because it's abstract, impressionist, line drawn, or anything else. This card just looks bad because Albert Einstein is on it, and that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever in the scope of M:tG.

It makes no sense in the scope of the card even. Why is Einstein surrounded by planets, and then the elements? He's not famous as an astronomer or anything.
But yes, it's bad art to begin with, but real world references like that are bad. Ditto for Eureka.

Other arts I dislike: Endless Horizons. What is it?
Grimoire Thief: Tap, untap, flip, how do I look at this card?
Cerulean Sphinx: He looks more like he's falling than flying.
Painter's Servant: For such an epic card, he has terrible blurry art. That does make him more realistic.

I think the blurry look works well for Painter's Servant.

Not all of her works but heartmender and the promo path kinda qualify.
I love guay though, I try to get her stuff whenever possibe, there are a few misses and her work is repetative but its unique for magic art.
