I just wanted to get people's opinions on sections I've added to several core sets (8th - 10th editions so far).
For example, on the 8th Edition Page:
There is a section called Cards added to 8th Edition. This is a list of cards added to 8th edition that were not in 7th edition.
There is a section called Cards removed from 7th Edition. This a list of cards that were in 7th Edition but did not get reprinted in 8th edition.
I think these sections/lists are informative to have. For instance, looking on the 8th Edition Page you can see that "Oh, that was the core set where they added Holy Day and removed Fog (same with adding Naturalize and removing Disenchant).
I typed up these lists by looking through Gatherer. In the Cards added to 8th Edition, for example, I quered on all 8th Edition cards. Then I looked through the list and if I didn't see a 7th symbol in the list of sets that card came from also, then I typed it on the page. I didn't copy these lists from any other source. They are personal research.

They do make the articles longer and I wondered what to do about that. I'm not sure about grouping it with other trivial information, but not sure I'd want a "8th Edition/Cards removed and added to" page.

Couldn't there just be a new subpage added whenever a new set is released called the Diff page. It lists all the differences from Nth to Mth edition. Both the Nth and Mth edition pages could link to it. That would solve the problem of longer articles. It just means more wiki pages, but people don't need to read them if they don't want to.

I am looking for Date Stamped promos from Khans of Tarkir block so I can finish my set. Check my wants if you have any.

Reading your message while trying not to stare at your Avatar ~ sorry, got distracted ~ Subpage of? Subpage of 8th Edition with both of the above sections incorporated into it? Page called "8th Edition/Differences"? Not sure I like the name, have to think of a better name.

GeoMike,.
It's good that there are "/changes" pages with all tidbits of trivia, including "cards added to", "cards removed from", and "changes in rarity", IMO.
To each, his/her own.
