Nicol Bolas is bored and teleported THE AVENGERS (Ironman, Hulk, Cap, Widow, Bowman, and Thor) into his personal arena and is pitting them against a ten round gauntlet of MTG things. Are the Avengers bad enough dudes to complete the gauntlet? To make the matches interesting, no mind magic, battle field removal or “oops you’re dead" spells allowed (spells that deal damage or weakens/buffs, however, are legal), also no indestructibility to avoid infinite stalemates (regeneration is allowed, KOing the opponent counts as winning the fight). It’s PURE BRUTE FORCE AGAINST EACH OTHER. Everyone’s fully healed and rested between each round (Aside from the Hulk, who is hulked out the entire gauntlet). The arena is totally flat and has an area of 100km100km. No roof overhead.
Hawkeye wins. No one on the MTG teams either remember his name or take any real notice of him, and he snipes them repeatedly to win the day. Good game.
No but seriously, let's work backwards:
Battle 10: What, for real?
Battle 9: Which of the Avengers would even be able to fight these guys?
Battle 8: Don't know who the Praetors are or what they can do.
Battle 7: They're INDESTRUCTIBLE.
Battle 6: Again, indestructible.
Battle 5: Oh now, this is where it gets interesting. Thor can presumably lightning anyone out of the sky that isn't hexproof. Iron Man would probably be a match for Sigarda without Gisela's damage upgrade, though he might himself die in the process, we'd have to figure out how powerful Iron Man is in an attack. But that's not factoring in the Hulk. There's really nothing the angels have that can work on the Hulk.
Battle 4: All the Ichorids die after 1 turn, the Narcomoebas (I can't read that and not think of drug-enforcing single-celled organisms) are weak and would go down to pretty much any of the team, the Golgari Grave Trolls eventually go down.
Battle 3: How on earth does this battle go before battle 4?
We'd need a ruling on how Hythonea the Cruel's deathtouch works on The Hulk. Has the Hulk ever gone to fight against a monster in the Marvel Universe with a magical insta-death ability, and if so, how'd that work?
Also, I want to believe Iron Man takes out Brimaz while either calling him Garfield or making a joke about whether he can haz cheezburger.
Battle 2: The regular humans could take down the Stoneforge Mystics. Batterskulls can't take down Hulk and Thor would probably do well against them.
Actually, this brings up a good question: Batterskulls have lifelink right? Who are they lifelinked to? The Stoneforge Mystics? Bolas?
Haha, yeah, what exactly are the stats of the Avengers? It's hard to translate them between mediums.
Honestly, Jace/Bolas would win because this version of the Avengers doesn't have any psychic protection, assuming you're talking about the film versions and not the comics (where Tony Stark has built it into his armor and where trying to controlling the Hulk often ends poorly).

Battle 1: Avengers, easily.
Battle 1: Agreed
Battle 2: The batterskulls life link the themselves, so if they hit someone they get healed
Battle 3: I actually thought this was an underpowered fight. Polkuranos is jut a hydra and IIRC Thor takes out Arbor Colossus sized Frost Giants by the handful, and Hulk is stronger than him. Not to mention Hydras are regularly killed by ancient Greek people on Theros with sword and bows. I agree Brimaz is the weak link in this fight, that said, according to his stat he's still stronger than an elephant. As for Hythonea, I think her gaze should just KO whoever looks her in the eye. I don't think she can take Ironman though, because he's seeing her through a computer monitor not direct looking at her.
Battle 4: I figured the zombies and trolls should give them a challenge, but apparently not.
Battle 5: I don't know. 5/5s are pretty strong. Craterhoof Behemoth for example is a 5/5. I think the best bet here is for the normals (bowman, widow etc) to tie the angels up, while Thor distracts another one and Iron airlifts Hulk and tried to drop him on one of them to pound them into submission.
Battle 6: With out indestrutbility, I figure they can eventually take them, the question is can they avoid the other in the process.
Battle 7: I'm pretty sure everyone on the team has experience taking out sentinels, and those are alot more advanced then these things.
Battle 8: Updated the post with actual cards. Though I complete forgot Elesh Norn and now I think the Praetors will just destroy the avengers.
Battle 9: I actually not sure what Chandra, Garruk, Ajani can actually do this fight. They're way out gunned in terms of tech and manuvibility, while their firepower isn't actually that strong. I mean Chandra can shoot fight and lightning, but Thor and Hulk can survive that. Garruk can make elephants and things but they don't stop the Hulk. Ajani can...??? I think this is also one of the matches where Bowman and Widow shines, are they can sneak in/snipe and do some damage.
Battle 3: I actually thought this was an underpowered fight.
It is with the exception of Hythonea. I just thought the Legacy team was far, far weaker (I mean, you have a bunch of units who automatically die in a single turn).
Polkuranos is jut a hydra and IIRC Thor takes out Arbor Colossus sized Frost Giants by the handful, and Hulk is stronger than him.
Also, Thor and Hulk took down one of those giant fish/sea snake things in Avengers 1.
As for Hythonea, I think her gaze should just KO whoever looks her in the eye. I don't think she can take Ironman though, because he's seeing her through a computer monitor not direct looking at her.
Then it's pretty much a wild card. If she takes down Hulk, the Avengers have a hurdle to surmount. Hulk AND Thor, and it's going to be almost impossible for them to win. Otherwise, they'd curbstomp these guys.
Battle 4: I figured the zombies and trolls should give them a challenge, but apparently not.
The Grave Trolls would be startling at first because they'd come back to life, but they'd come back progressively weaker and it'd eventually become a bit of slapstick comedy with continuously killing them.
with the "No mind magic" rule I feel like the lorwyn five are no real challenge. Lilliana is a threat, no doubt, but Garruk VS hulk is not a remotely fair fight - or vs thor, or probably even cap. Jace does absolutely nothing - maybe the odd illusion, if that doesn't count as mind magic, but the sort of illusions he is throwing ironman probably sees right through.
Indeed, I'm not even exactly sure how bolas beats them without being able to just mind control the hulk. What does bolas do if someone hurls a building at him?

I'm lost, isn't Bolas a planeswalker?
So... Wouldn't the answer to "what can Bolas do to the Avengers?" be "pretty much anything"?

He is reduced to new walker status. He isn't a being of infinite power any more. Yes, he's incredibly powerful. But it was a genuine question: if he's not allowed mind control, exactly what form does his power now take?
What if Bolas somehow pawns Thanos along the way and gets the complete Infinity Gauntlet (which becomes the reason he teleports the Avengers into his personal arena along with the others in the first place).

I think assuming characters have things they would not normally have is probably awkward at best.
