Infact, I'm not even sure why we're going the round about route of comparing Aeons to Kaiju to Godzilla to prove wether one can beat the other. THe proof is right there in the video you posted.
DOes Godzilla have attacks on par with Sin's? Can he effect weather and tidal patterns on a global scale? Does he do damage to the environment on a global scale? Can he fly?
Your argument from the beginning has been, Aeons are just Kaiju and since Godzilla can eat Kaiju no problems Godzilla wins.
I'm saying, hold up you're not giving the Aeons enough credit.
I think you are misunderstanding my argument.
I'm saying Aeons are rough analogues of Kaiju. They are closer to the Angels from Evangelion, but we need a frame of reference. There is no truly good way to do that between fictions like these, so I need to make a few reasonable assumptions based on what is seen in-game.
We really shouldn't talk game mechanics, I've been doing this, too, and it's a mistake. Final Fantasy is made of Game and Story segregation, after all Aeris could have lived if we could have given her a Pheonix Down (to use one of the biggest examples out there). So using 'one-shotting' examples from in game play is pointless without stats for Godzilla in game.
Godzilla is, arguably, the most powerful Kaiju in film, and capable of far more destruction than we see from any Aeon in FFX. My point is that we have to compare what we've seen, and in this case I think Godzilla could take Jecht, and thus stands a fighting chance against Sin.
I'll write up the actual battle, but I see it being a war of attrition that Godzilla eventually wins.

No, but he's beaten enemies that can do all of the above. Most notably Ghidora.
Honestly, reviewing Sin's power, he definitely should be Reaper class. I think the people nominating these creatures placed them badly and I failed to catch it, Sin is a little strong. After this battle I'll move him up (which makes room for Eva Unit 01 and Sachiel, if he survives his clover-class match).
It's okay though, because I had uneven matches planned for later anyway.

So let's see... so far, we've had Wing Zero, Sin and (possibly) Obelisk put in weight classes where they shouldn't be, yet are moving up to the next round, while Godzilla, The Hydra and (possibly) MetalGreymon are getting kicked out of the tournament, despite being in the classes they should be.
This may come across as me sounding like a sore loser (though honestly, I don't care who wins and who loses), but there might be something wrong with a system that essentially rewards those who didn't do their research when nominating and punishes the nominations of those who actually tried to use Google Image Search and YouTube to carefully scale the contestants into the size and power classes they should be.
Just my two cents, for whatever they're worth in this crazy mixed up world of economic crisis. Probably nothing.
I participate yearly in a survival challenge in which I am dropped off in the wilderness with 1 days rations, a knife, and no other supplies, and have to find my way home. This is typically several weeks hiking from civilization.
I have personally killed several bears in the course of this challenge, with the use of snares and other traps.

Actually Poring, you have a pretty good point.
I'm going to go on record as saying I voted for Obelisk because he was simply put into the wrong category and is far and beyond the capabilities of MGM...
This whole system is lopsided and needs to be re-evaluated I think.
I don't like it when matches aren't even, it makes the win seem...less fun. Like the other side didn't even have a chance.
This was too hastily started and not enough research was done. People miscategorized their entries and thusly we have the problems we're having now.

Considering we now have 1/6th of creatures who are clearly outside of their weight class, I think it's time for a do-over. Let me think on it and figure it out. I'm open to suggestions.
My intention was that there would be some lopsided fights, but I think this goes a little too far, and I didn't anticipate the decisiveness of most poster's opinions - TOC had some pretty good ongoing discussion but the first round of BFE had almost no discussion.

How well do you do against one?
