150 religious fanatics across the room are shouting at you that the earth is flat and we were created 6000 years ago.
Not even half as many scientists are on the other side of the room giving you physical evidence that supports that the earth is actually round and we've been around for millions of years.
I'm assuming with your mockery of me that you side with the fanatics because they have the majority opinion, and opinions > facts. Good to know where you stand, friend.
You're here (stop now and think about what those two words imply for a moment) -- ranting about how the opinions here don't matter because this is a forum for a "children's card game." First of all, you calling MTG a children's game while taking comic books seriously is absurd. There are plenty of adults who are involved with both -- you talking so arrogantly about Magic but raging over comic books is unseemly.
Secondly, you should know that I don't give a flying **** about Superman or Goku. I never read comics, and I never watched Dragon Ball Z.
And finally, I know you're not going to like your precious perception rocked, but most of these so-called "feats" are open to a fair degree of reader interpretation. These are manga and comic pages. Things don't happen in real time. There's a lot of missing information in a series of pictures, and that's all you have to base your opinions off, because for some odd reason you fans think it's wise to consider anime and TV shows "non-canonical."

Oh, you seem to of mistaken me for someone who actually cares about what's going on here.
I was merely replying to the fact that some people are using the bull**** justification that "Well the majority of people here agree Goku would win, therefore, he would". Which is quite simply, moronic sheeple speak.
In the official Screw Attack video, which used impartial sources from both sides of the argument, it was mathematically crunched to death to prove that Superman is superior to Goku in virtually every way.
This is using the actual canonical statistics attributed to Goku BY the authors themselves. And they don't even match up close to Super Man.
I could care less about childrens card games or childrens comic books or the opinions of children. Superman wins by all objective factors. The fact that this thread is merely posted in a forum that is filled with people who will naturally skew towards anime heroes over everyone else means nothing.
Super Man would be winning this fight if it were posted in a Marvel forum. Goku would be winning again if this was posted in an anime forum. Super Man would be winning if you posted it on a Sci-Fi forum.
Opinions. Don't. Matter.
Hence why the Yawgmoth thread entertains me so much. Yawgmoth is winning by a landslide of over 20 votes to 3, and people are still raging because one vote was a mistake and my vote is just trolling.
Fanboy rage is one of the most adorable things on the internet. Please, continue.
Oh, you seem to of mistaken me for someone who actually cares about what's going on here.
Wait...
Actually DC is notorious for inventing limitless amounts of deux ex machina powered plot devices that have allowed Superman to defeat beings that are even more powerful than Elder Gods.
Even with his supposed "Death" to Doomsday he really didn't die, he was more put in a coma and came back with cybernetic enhancements to kick the crap out of Doomsday harder than ever before.
Not to mention, in almost every DC comic franchise ever, if the hero has ever run into so much trouble that they simply can't beat the villain, they just launch them into the sun repeatedly.
So unless Goku can survive in space and his body withstand the power of being right next to the sun, then Superman would still win.
It's stupid. Very very stupid. But Super Man wins. Popular opinion on a forum made about a children's card game does not supersede the facts.
In the official Screw Attack video, which used impartial sources from both sides of the argument, it was mathematically crunched to death to prove that Superman is superior to Goku in virtually every way.

You seem to know a lot about "official" videos and a lot of "facts" about comic books for someone who doesn't care. How is that? Also, you've reiterated at least twice that (I paraphrase) "Superman would win, because facts are facts." If you don't care who would win, why are you in a thread about who would win, offering your opinion, and reply not twice, but three times to make sure everyone knows it? In every post, you've either directly said Superman would win, or you indirectly alluded to the "fact" that he would, and even offered evidence. So you don't care? Tell me more.
But since you do care, and seemingly care a lot, I find it laughably ironic that your attitude varies so greatly between the "children's" game of Magic, enough to write off the opinions of others, but hold the precious "facts" that some nerds made about Superman. As if DC comics aren't made for kids? As if those people who created the "official screw attack video" aren't themselves even a little biased?
Here's a dilemma for you to chew on: if there was actually a comic or manga made between Superman's strongest form and Goku's strongest form, do you think it would be written with Superman just blinking and the fight would be over? Because 1) that's delusional, the comic would never sell, and 2) the article said Goku's strongest form had an unknown power-level, and 3) the article said that would be the case. Which is inane to say because, as they admitted, Goku's highest form has an UNKNOWN power-level. Considering this, how can they make an absolute statement like that? Any comic they both were in would be written with them being close to equal, and everyone knows it.
Also: Superman living in the sun and being omniscience is incredibly bad and stupid storytelling IF it's actually the case, which I sincerely doubt.
...the most important factors are technique, reflexes, strength and stamina. Reflexes and technique are highly connected; it takes years of training to actually block an opponents blow and not cower away or what other reflex is 'natural', because everything happens in a split-second. In the heat of battle, there is no time to cleverly plan your next move.
Surely, intelligence plays a small role, if there are two opponents who are equally skilled and in the same physical condition the most intelligent/creative fighter might have the edge.. But as I said; no matter how clever the nerdy kid in high school is, the much bigger alpha-male bully who is much less intelligent is still going to kick his ass, regardless of what kind of moves the nerd might be planning.
I'm not arguing that a nerdy kid will beat up the big alpha male type because he's smarter, but to say that intelligence is only a small factor in a fight isn't accurate at all. And the argument on this thread isn't about a weak smart guy vs a strong dumb guy. It's about two incredibly strong guys, one who isn't smart and one who is.
There is a reason Muhammad Ali was such a dominate champ. The same goes for Anderson Silva and GSP. They are all very intelligent and cerebral fighters. When both combatants have great speed, reflexes, power and technique, intelligence plays a huge roll in the fight.
Sorry if I seem rude to you, that happens sometimes when I don't mean it to cause I'm kind of blunt. But to be honest I'm rather surprised that someone with as much martial arts experience as you claim to have thinks that intelligence doesn't matter in a fight. That couldn't be further from the truth.

Tl;DR, cry more please. I really don't care about this battle. I merely came in to prove how ridiculous it is that the "Goku Crew" are blindly running around in circles going "Popular opinion wins!" and that the actual facts say that Superman wins 99 times out of 100.
I've done that. It's settled. This poll means nothing. Popular opinion means nothing. Facts are facts. Deal with it. Or keep crying. Whatever's cool with you.

There are no facts in comic book/fantasy world. Main characters win just because they are main characters. I don't really care who wins but when I compare who has the better plot devices to win, Goku takes it.

About Frox: for nearly 10 years, Frox has been helping women look good and feel great in easy-fit, mix-and-match, and work-to-weekend with just a few pieces by helping them make the right choices when it comes to clothing and accessories.
I don't know much about superman so I'll just stay on the side I know a lot about. I just wanted to throw this out here.
To those who are saying Goku can't blow up a planet like superman. Goku has stopped a countless amount of blasts that could blow up the planet very easy. If he could stop them by:
A - catching them and throwing them away from the planet
B - Using a blast of his own to repel the original blast
Then I'm sure we can safely assume Goku could blow up a planet easy. But he is a good guy and never had to blow up a planet. Saying we didn't see him do it so he can't do it is just horrible here.
To those who are saying Goku can't move the planet. If Goku had ever gotten into a situation where he had to move the planet and got himself a harness and a way to hold the planet like how superman did it then he would be able to do it. But then again this is Dragon Ball Z we are talking about so its going to take him 20 episodes.
I really don't know why I still read the comparison of stats and feats in this thread. They are somewhat amusing how you guys put it out there. I have said this before and will go into some detail here.
I don't think we can argue that Goku is stronger than Superman stat wise. If you look at how stupidly overpowered Superman has been writen. It is kind of outrageous to even think about what he can do. The problem with Superman is that his story is revolved around him getting into some circumstance where he may lose. It's the only way to write him. That's why Kryptonite exists. It's why he has too much feelings. And it's why people have cited that he's a genuinely bad fighter. He needs to be brought down a notch for any of his villains or allies to compare to him. It's the way he's written.
Goku on the other hand, works with plot devices. It's the way Shonen is written. Main character finds new villain leagues ahead of him but doesn't die in initial battle comes back to destroy villain with powers of plot devices and friendship. It's just what it is.
Just comparing stats is a stupid way to gauge this match up. You have to consider how they are written as well. Do you think Superman, a god like alien, who gets dropped down a lot of notches in order to create a seemingly flowing story would win? Or do you think Goku, a semi god like alien, who is written to win just because he's the main character would win?
Yes, there are. The Screw Attack video uses actual tangible researched numbers to put a face on the sheer amount of power that Super Man can exert.
These are facts. Hard numbers are facts. DBZ gave up on facts after the Frieza saga where power levels became a thing of the past and we just got vague "He's ten times stronger than he was before!" comments every fight. So Screw Attack technically had to make up numbers for the DBZ argument to even have this discussion make tangible, possible sense.
And even those imaginary numbers don't match up against Super Man. You can try to put the numbers in perspective of Goku turning Super Ascended Saiyan x10 and he still probably doesn't match Super Mans strength and never becomes tactically smarter than Super Man.
Goku has actually DIED in his universe. Super Man merely gets defeated and comes back stronger than ever. Incapable of truly ever dying. His strongest incarnations can travel through time, move across the entire universe in the blink of an eye, destroy entire galaxies without even lifting a finger, can defeat Gods, can create life and matter from nothing, even new realities and universes.
He simply. Cannot. Be. Beat.
So Goku wins the humility battle of being a more sympathetic, enjoyable protagonist. But in sheer raw facts, numbers, powers, feats, abilities, statistics, professional opinion and objective analysis Super Man is the stronger hero. Period.
One big problem when people bring up Superman Prime is the time it takes for superman to become that.
Goku's growth rate is LEAGUES ahead of superman's. People go, ok I'll take goku SS 4, which is like 40 years after the beginning of the series against Superman Prime who is like 20 000 years after the beginning of the series (I don't know but he spent 15 000 years in the sun no?)
Give Goku 20 000 years. Then take that vs Supes Prime.
Reading this thread is interesting. At times I've leaned back on super wining. But I'm firmly believe Goku wins again.
Taking my site from the previous page:
Mass of antimatter needed to blow up the earth:
Mass of antimatter: 1.2464 * 10^15 kg
And from wikipedia:
Quantities measured in grams will be required to achieve destructive effect comparable with conventional nuclear weapons; one gram of antimatter annihilating with one gram of matter produces 180 terajoules, the equivalent of 42.96 kilotons of TNT (approximately 3 times the bomb dropped on Hiroshima - and as such enough to power an average city for an extensive amount of time).
SOOO
To blow up the earth (as in destroy it) you'd need the equivalent of:
3.7392 * 10^18 kilo tons of TNT
So, Goku, at power level of over 8000, can produce that much energy with Kaoiken x 3.
Now look at how crazily he gets stronger, add all the multipliers and all that. Lets make it easy:
Goku Kaioken x3 vs Vegeta, both putting out at least 3.7392 * 10^18 kilo tons of TNT. Means (i'll put Goku's base power level as 9000. if it was was more, the real line would be over 9000 not 8000).
This gives base Goku a Ki output of 1.2464 * 10^18 kilo tons of TNT at 9000 PL.
So. This means that when he fought Freiza, before turning a super sayian, (assuming power level of at least 1 million, due to him being weaker than Frieza, but Frieza being 2 transformations over his form that was over 1 million, his real power level at that point is probably WAY higher.) His energy output would be the equivalent of 1.385 * 10^25 tons of TNT.
Yes, there are. The Screw Attack video uses actual tangible researched numbers to put a face on the sheer amount of power that Super Man can exert.
These are facts. Hard numbers are facts. Ahhhh I'm going to nit pick because you make it so easy.
Superman has died before. Many times actually.
Superman has been defeated but he doesn't get stronger. You are mistaken. That's Goku. Superman's strength, speed, and stats only get weaker because previous comic book writers set them too high and other writers have found this to be annoying in character development.
Superman has been beaten many times by beings much less than Goku.
Then you babble about screwattack using numbers and this and that. I don't mind you using them as reference as they did put a lot of time into their findings but I think you fail to realize how hard actual research is and giving screwattack the ability to tell you what facts are is really insulting scientists everywhere.
And putting numbers into this match is stupid like my last post mentioned.
I think the irony is a little under your radar...
I don't follow.

His energy output would be the equivalent of 1.385 * 10^25 tons of TNT.
