my windows 8, firefox, minecraft all show this strange haze of orange pixels on my monitor and I don't know how to get rid of them.
when I run video games the orange pixels go away???
Does anyone know what might be causing this or have any suggestions?

i think i isolated it to my hdmi cord. once i started using different hdmi cord the orange haze went away.... "for now".
its seems reasonable to think this because i got the orange pixels to go away once before after an episode of plugging and unplugging monitor, cord, graphics cards etc.
but for the cord to have a problem that only affects windows 8, minecraft and not to affect something more graphics intensive like borderlands 2 (the games i play lately on my pc) is something I don't quite understand.
what is the graphics hardware or software difference between window 8 by itself, minecraft (java) and regular computer games?

Does the orange haze go away if you run Minecraft in fullscreen mode?
