One this forum, I have seen some users say that they have been "Nath'd" when another user posts the same thing that they intended to post immediately before they do. I know that this is a reference to the term "ninja'd," used on other forums in reference to the supposed stealth and agility of ninjas, and that this term is referring to Nath of the Gilt-Leaf, but I do not understand how it applies to the practice on this forum, so could someone here explain how the term originated? Thank you very much.
Nath'd was to my understanding a shortcut to 'Sarnathed'
I recall there was a thread talking about this in CI a LONG time ago....
And yes its basically MTGS' version of 'ninja'd', the significance being that what you were about to post someone already did while you were making your own post.

That is not dead which can eternal lie. And with strange eons even death may die.
I can say from personal experience (of having lurked extensively on MiseTings, when it was around) that the wiki article is an accurate rendition of the facts.
I wish people still got Gisgo'd.

Sing lustily and with good courage.
Be aware of singing as if you were half dead,
or half asleep:
but lift your voice with strength.
Be no more afraid of your voice now,
nor more ashamed of its being heard,
than when you sang the songs of Satan.
We should start a MTGS Nostalgy thread, where we'd marvel at the wonders of Kittybread, ButteBlues, and the post count of TFE.

The Sage is occupied with the unspoken
and acts without effort.
Teaching without verbosity,
producing without possessing,
creating without regard to result,
claiming nothing,
the Sage has nothing to lose.
I particularly enjoy seeing "nath'd" used on unrelated forums, which certainly has happened.
As for "ninja", usually we say "ninja edit" (alternatively, "ghost edit") - which means editing your post to add or remove something important, but within 3 minutes of posting it, so it doesn't appear like it has actually been edited.
Also, "Frox'd" means replying to a post that was ninja edited while you were typing, rendering your post either obsolete or otherwise meaningless. This is a bit more obscure than "nath'd", but still a thing

To be honest, a "nostaglia thread" would be more a "lol at all the insanity over the years"-thread, with the occasional "those were the days" posts in between.

In that case, who or what is Sarnath?

I don't know whether there's any more to it than that, since I wasn't around at the time.
So, the term refers not to Nath of the Gilt-leaf, but to a user named Sarnath? Thank you very much for the information.
