Alright, i had this huge thing typed out, but i'm going to retry this and keep it short, on topic, and simple.
I made myself a youtube channel for magic related things like gameplays, deck techs, and possibly trading. I invited my two friends to play against me on camara and they did. But then one of my friends mentioned that you could make money (Although, very unlikely) and he wanted to know how we'd split the money. Because aparently they both think the channel will take off, and we'll be raking in cash, which isn't going to happen. But if by some crazy chance we gained enough popularity to bring in a little money this whole thing could get messy.
So that being said, what's the most professional, and smart way to handle this?
Most likely it won't matter, but just incase it does... Thoughts?
That sounds easy, but it's not easy saying that to friends. But i'll probably just go with your first plan, lie about it. Because even if i did somehow make money on youtube, i'd just put it back into the channel by buying a new camara or something.
Pay them on a per video basis. You can easily track how much revenue each of your videos is making. As you well know you have to be bringing youtube about 100k page views before they notice enough to offer you the chance to monetize your videos.

Out of the blackness and stench of the engulfing swamp emerged a shimmering figure. Only the splattered armor and ichor-stained sword hinted at the unfathomable evil the knight had just laid waste.
True, it's not hard to just say "look it had X number of views, we made X number of dollars." Just be careful, getting into a money scheme with friends could very well be the last straw in already shakey friendships (if they are shakey of course). They always say... never involve friends and relatives with your money... In my experiences, I agree 100000%.

That's good advice. I was thinking the same thing. I want to go into this with my friends, but I'm having a hard time deciding because the potential money making can really ruin the entire experience.
That's a good idea to have a contract. If i decide to do this with them as "partners" on my channel I'll offer them an equal percentage of the money made by the videos they're in.
They want money to play Magic on your videos. Are they famous? Are they bringing some unspecified talent to the table?
If you're paying someone to perform for a video they should be doing something valuable that gathers attention. Because there comes a point where you can say "Forget it, I'll just head down to the beach/pool and pay some bikini babes $x each to pretend that they're enjoying a game of Magic on camera" and rake in the hits.
"A rich man thinks all other people are rich, and an intelligent man thinks all other people are similarly gifted. Both are always terribly shocked when they discover the truth of the world. You, my dear brother, are a pious man." - Strahd von Zarovich
The chances of you making enough money to be noticable is small unless you go full fledge into this. Even then you would have to bring things to the table that others do not have. If your doing this as a hobby have at it and enjoy. If your doing this for the money youll find that ether you can make it or have 0 chance very soon. My Opinion is Not to even do this at all. The fact they brought up the idea to me rings very nasty future bells of "you owe me this for this I did" and such. Plus you need a solid base of followers to always watch and that takes alot of work. Unless you can Make, edit, upload, and come up with new ideas on a daily basis your gonna be way over your head.

"meow meow.. why do people dump things on me head...:("
I don't see what the problem is. A) you are 99.999% sure you will make 0 from this. b) they are your FRIENDS. Easy thing would be say we split it 3 ways. Keep your friendsh happy and since you likely will not make squat anyway it won't matter.

That's not true and neither is the fact that you wouldn't make much from them. I have 4 videos on youtube and have advertising on them -- Total number of views across all 4 is like 2,500 total.
Youtube did something where a bunch of people were getting added to do the advertising thing and I guess I was one of them.
2 of them are magic related as well. Let me know if you want to check them out.

Tell them here is what you are proposing, "I get 33%, you 33%..." whatever you agree upon.
Make sure that they read the conditions of the contract. Sending them a copy is a good idea.
Have them sign and return the copy that you sent them.
- If they don't accept the terms, then draft a new copy of the contract. Make sure that you are the one offering them the deal. (Trust me.)
I don't have any true legal advice, but those are some good principles to follow.

You can probably find an easy contract somewhere online like http://legalhelp.org/legal-forms/business-forms-27/.
