The last season being so bad seems to have completely killed this thread. The winter season seems significantly better so far, since you have a couple shows that are already outstanding(ERASED and the Rakugo show) and a few shows that have some potential to be 4 star shows(Grimgar, Dagashi kashi, Dimension W, Ajin). What is everyone else currently watching?
I just rewatched Fate:Stay/Night UBW on Netflix. Netflix finally got the second season and the English voice actors for it actually aren't half bad. Also, Ufotable released an OVA for the UBW good ending (featuring Saber surviving the war). I know of an unlisted video on youtube that has english subtitles for it, if you want.
[color=Greena Death Battle video between Kenshiro and Saitama.[/color]
I would like to point out that Saitama would win without blinking. The two characters powers are not even comparable as Saitama was literally written to never meet someone as our more powerful than himself
Eh, it's a bit of a Superman argument. How strong is someone who's designed to be stronger than everything else? There really isn't much of a point to debating Saitama vs anyone because it almost always devolves into arguments of "Saitama is designed to be unbeatable therefore nothing can beat him and your argument is invalid".

Just watched food wars. It's basically food porn in every sense of the phrase, but it's a fun distraction. I was enjoying it a lot until the final episodes (felt like it got bogged down a little bit covering so many dishes one after another). I honestly ended up liking the training camp arc the most, and enjoyed Tadokoro's character and her arc way more than Soma's. I know that it's getting a second season, but honestly I'm not as excited for it as my enjoyment with S1 would imply, just because I feel as though Soma needs to lose to keep it interesting and I haven't seen any indication that they're willing to do that (plus Tadokoro's arc is more or less over imo, so my favorite character will fade into the background )

Watching Persona 4 that i bought on sale. Currently enjoying it.
okay, a few episodes in there's one minor discrepancy. Margarette, in the Velvet room, identified Yukiko's persona as the Empress arcana. Yukiko is the Priestess arcana, Margarette is the Empress arcana...

Well there's only 1 suspect, so it's either him or a swerve. So....Yeah. It's still p damn good. Every episode makes me mad nervous to watch tho, because a lot of people didn't like the climax of the manga. So I'm just hoping I don't find it to be a freaking mess. At least it's probably gonna go through the entirety of the manga, which is nice. Especially, in comparison to some of the Madhouse adaptations. Chihayafuru season 3 =(.
My favorite show this season has been Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu. It's pretty damn good so far. If it stays the course it'll probably be my all-time favorite.
Best shows this season are probably Rakugo>Erased>Grimgar>KonoSuba>Galko.
This, in my opinion, was one of the worst seasons we had in the past 5 years. In every season for the past 5 years I've had at least 2 shows I was excited to watch, not this one. I am only watching Erased and Gate. Erased basically makes the season and everyone seems to suspect the same person while Gate got pretty boring compared to the first season. I am waiting on D.Gray-man since it's been announced, hopefully it airs no later than this summer.

Last season was significantly worse than this season, and if you haven't checked out Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu, you should. Because it's legitimately one of the better shows ever made. I actually think this is a better season than the last 2 seasons and last winter was worse if you weren't watching ALL of the sequels that came out; if you were watching just new series, you'd have been pretty disappointed. Spring is looking p good though. And summer looks absolutely stacked with 5 high budget adaptations.
You are probably right. The last few season might have been worse but there were sequels for me to watch. TBH, I didn't give this season a fair evaluation because unlike the previous seasons, I haven't even tried to watch anything other than Erased. Usually, I watch the first episode of any show that looks interesting and then decide which ones to follow. I'll definitely give Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu a shot. Where do you get info on spring and summer anime list? I'd like to see what's in store for us.

That's a weird way to judge a season. Watch the 2nd best show and the second cour to something decen, then call the whole season "the worst in 5 years"?
I think there are 4 legitimately good shows this season(and 2 of those are better than good so far). If you count the sequels, you could make a case for Shirayuki, which is somewhere on the line of decent and good depending on how you feel about shoujo romance. If you count shorts, it's 6. That's how many good shows were in the last 2 seasons combined(full disclosure: I haven't watched Working season 3, Non Non Biyori season2, or the Lupin reboot, everything else I tried)
For future season info, I use the seasonal anime tab on MAl. Spring has a few of high profile adaptations in Tonkatsu DJ Agetarou, Sakamoto Desu Ga?, Diamond is Unbreakable, Ushio to Tora(second season), Magi Prequel, Boku No Hero Academia(this is gonna be the hype show) and Ace Attorney(this looks like it's gonna be real bad tho). It also has a couple interesting originals. So the season will probably be good. Summer has 4 legitimate 5 star shows already announced:Berserk post Golden Age arc I believe), Amanchu!(adaptation of the new work by the girl that did the Aria series), Orange(adaptation of a VERY good and award nominated manga), Rewrite(Romeo VN adaptation). That's not even including Food Wars sequel or Amaama to Inazuma. Also, there is a bunch of stuff that hasn't been announced yet because there is still a lot of tv time open, which is exciting considering stuff that is confirmed for this year that hasn't been a release date announced yet - Attack On Titan, D. Gray man, Hibike! Euphonium, Handa-kun, Keijo!!!!!!!!. Summer is going to be excellent but it has potential to be the best.
Oh man, I have been loving Erased this season. It has definitely been the best show this season. I think there are a few other fair shows but not a lot else to really write home about.
I like Ajin but the animation style is just absolutely terrible. I didn't really like it for the first few episodes but it kind of grew on me over time. I still think the animation style is junk though.
I am also watching the one about the people who get sucked into a fantasy world and are fighting goblins but I completely forget its name offhand. I like its art style so far and it seems I guess a little more realistic for what it represents. Its a bit slow moving but I suppose its sort of a slice of life in some ways of that kind of a world which is still kind of a cool feel. I wish they were a little less about the fan service moments as they seem to randomly include them for no real reason.

I have officially moved to MTGNexus. I just wanted to let people know as my response time to salvation decks being bumped is very hit or miss.
I'm really enjoying Grimgar and I'm not really noticing the fanservice moments your talking about, unless you mean bow girl bending over when she's sneaking around before fights. Other than that, I don't really notice any fan service at all. I really like the watercolor art a lot. It looks really good.
I didn't get into Ajin because I wasn't a huge fan of the manga, but I really liked the last anime that studio did, Sidonia no Kishi, which I thought looked perfectly fine. But you're definitely not alone in hating CG in anime. I personally like it for the most part, but I know I'm the minority.
Like I said, I did not fairly judge this season. Another reason why I deemed this season the worst in the past 5 years is that I've been depressed these past few months due to personal problems so I know I didn't judge this season fairly. I did, in fact, watch Ajin and Phantasy Star Online 2 but didn't like the art style of either one but I am thinking of giving Phantasy Star Online 2 another shot.
I didn't know MAL had a seasonal anime tab. I can already see some good shows next season and I think it's going to be better. Boku No Hero Academia was hailed as the successor of Naruto and Bleach and I happen to have read the fist 10 chapters of it.

Compare both of those fights. Yes, Brotherhood was more action packed, better animated, and just generally was a better end to the character..... until you look at the "After Death" part of it. Pride is killed, Mustang throws the skull into the fire and it's over; All that's there is this emotional scene of Roy looking at a dead child who was trying to help his father. What happens after Wrath's death? The dude doesn't SHUT. THE ****. UP! He goes on spouting unneeded philosophical bull***** despite having his Stone blown up.
And honestly, the way he loses in Brotherhood is contrived as well, like a LOT of bad Shonen. Over all the emotional tone of FMA was just much better handled honestly.

Oath of the Gatewatch; the set that caused the competitive community to freak out over Basic Lands.
I finally got around to watching Hunter x Hunter. Jeebus that lived up to the hype (sans the Zoldeyck arc and part of Chimeric Ant where the narrator wouldn't shut up). Immediately jumped to #3 of all time for me and KilluaXGon is one of my favorite character pairings I think I've ever seen
Also watched through Kono Suba (or at least up through ep 9). It's good solid fun and I appreciate the fact that it doesn't take itself seriously. Solid 7.5ish/10

We have laboured long to build a heaven, only to find it populated with horrors.
Been binge-watching Steins Gate to stave off having to learn for a critical exam next monday. Question about ep 22 below:
I don't understand how it works. Like, sure. Sending d-mails to null other d-mails sounds logical to me. However, how they got from the B line to the A line makes no sense whatsoever. So, ok. Houhouin accidentally sends a d-mail, which changes the timeline so that KURISUTINA never dies. This d-mail gets logged by SERN and put on a database. And by deleting the d-mail from the database, somehow the d-mail is never sent, which causes them to shift back to the A line, where KURISUTINA did die. How???
