Big road match-ups coming up on Thursday for both of those teams, I'm hoping they will be good games. Also the Warriors-Raptors game today was a blast to watch even though the Dubs almost blew a big lead late and Monta got hurt, tons of explosive plays and great effort from both teams.
Ok that Jazz vs Heat game was not all about Paul Millsap or D will is all about the best late close game coach Jerry Sloan
I hate Jazz anyways, their fans are ☺☺☺☺,booing everyone that is from the aways team,no respect for the players, and I hope they will never get a championship in the future...
Jordan "The Shot" shopped thier last chance to winning a NBA championship lol!
Millsap bombing those 3s late will likely be the most unlikely occurrence to happen in a game this season, though I don't mind as he's on my fantasy team!

Well he is only pulling down
24 PPG
10.9 RPG
and 0.6 BPG
this season I sure as heck wish Utah didn't match the offer on him we made 2 years ago :(.
I was hoping for 15-10 with a block+steal and decent percentages from him, basically around his 08 averages as a starter, so he's been a nice bonus in the early going scoring wise. If he starts chucking in the occasional 3 without doing much harm to his FG%, that would just be gravy. Now if Bargnani stopped rebounding like a PG I'd be getting somewhere...:D
He's taking a page out of the Celts' book. Save it for the post-season.
yes :),but the explosiveness is gone a bit,im used to see kobe uses his athletic ability rather than the game smarts/veteran moves midrange jumpers, etc

I once went to a Jazz-Lakers playoff game, and after the Lakers won, the Jazz fans spewed some of the of most horrible stuff I have ever heard from a person's mouth. Sailors don't talk as bad as some Jazz fans. They truly do not have any respect.
I think some people don't understand that the Mirrans are the bad guys. Arcbound Ravager is Mirran. Phyrexia are the good guys coming in to conquer an evil, evil world.
I went to one NBA game and it was the hornets in charlotte vs the rockets. We lost in OT but it was a great game as baron davis let out a thunder dunk from the foul line that was a great dunk.
I also think that Lebron James is a quitter and traitor and should be booed at every game he plays in at cleveland. He quit on the cavs and he quit on the team now i hope that cleveland wins it all this year aside from the bobcats winning it

Thats funny.
The only NBA game I went to was a Laker game. When Magic was still playing.

"Keep in mind just one thing when you argue with idiots- they bring you down to their level and beat you with experience."
So thoughts on the Suns this year? I originally thought they'd finished 5-8 (playoff but not home court) but they have not looked very good. I know they have a lot of new parts to try and 'gel' together and I was all for not giving a mas contract to a player who doesn't play D(cough:amare:cough) but Turkalo has been terrible and Warrick and only be decent so far. At this point I'd rather them just suck so the can get a decent lottery pick.

They really need Robin Lopez to start playing better if they have a shot at the playoffs, he's basically their only legit big and has been playing very poorly so far. Getting into the playoffs will be a challenge in the West, since you need 45+ wins to get in most years and they are looking like a ~.500 team or worse unless someone steps up big time soon.
The Suns have a log jam of undersized guys and an aging Nash and Richardson who are supposed to carry the team with no legit big guy to help them. Turkoglu has been declining since his last two seasons with the Magic, and like many players before him, he signed his huge deal and proceeded to half ass everything. They overpaid Frye who hasn't been relevant at all this season. Hakim Warrick isn't very good either, and it's sad that he is giving Lopez a run for his money for the starting job. Richardson is streaky, Hill is aging, and they really don't have a lot going for them this season. Amare may have not rebounded as much as he should have, or played defense, but he really opened the court up for his teammates and made Nash more effective by having someone to pick and roll with. I don't expect much from the Suns. I just wish they would trade Nash to a contender not named Heat, Celtics, or Lakers so he can have a shot at a ring.
That game was a real embarrassment for Miami. How can they call themselves a title contender if they continue to play at this level?
they need time to gel or adjust their ego's,chris bosh is super soft to me,lebron and wade needs to dominate the game with the ball in their hands most of the time..something's gotta give, the coach staff or the pg,.
the season is young but they get so much hype when losing..
as for the celtics 18th banner is coming this season

I'd just like to breakdown the reasons that reasons that the Miami Heat are struggling so bad this season.
1. This could be my most important point. People need to remember that the Celts "Big Three" (Im a C's fan so just relating to something i know very well) was not assembled by KG, Pierce and Ray, rather the whole team was orchestrated by Danny Ainge, who is a GM that knows and understands how to build a team with what wont/will work together. The Miami Heat on the other hand were brought together not by a GM, but by Wade, Bosh and James, 3 people that know nothing about putting a championship team together just three great players who want to play together.
2. The two most important positions in basketball are PG and C. While your PG usually runs the offense, calls plays, handles the ball (similar to a quarterback), your C is supposed to anchor your defense and establish your post presence on offense and defense. So what would would you say are the Heat's weakest positions? Answer, PG and C. Joel Anthony, while a decent shot blocker, he is in no way, shape, or form a deterrent from heading into the paint and is routinely abused by average/above average PF's and C's. And at PG you have Carlos Arroyo who i believe is their starting PG. While Arroyo isn't terrible he cant run an offense and is a poor defender. This causes Lebron or Wade to handle the ball much more than they would like and causes the ball to stick and not move around.
3. Lastly this is something i heard that i can completely agree with, that the Celtics "big three" would not have worked if they were all in their mid 20s/prime solely because at that point of their careers they hadn't received all their individual accolades and wouldn't be able to put things like that aside and sacrifice numbers/stats in hopes of a title. What I'm saying is that when the team was brought together KG, Ray and Pierce had scored the points, had the all-star games and everything and had been through the hardships, bad teams, and the years of no shots at a title which allowed them to succeed as a team.

I have to disagree with you on a couple of points, Razgriz. Your most prominent point doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Do you really think Pat Riley had no idea about the possibility of forming this team. Or, that if Wade really did make every move to bring the team together (which I am skeptical of), Pat Riley, who is the GM, still had to approve of the move and ultimately make the decisions. I think it is a little unrealistic to think that Pat Riley was peer pressured by Wade into forming this team against his better judgment, and instead used Wade to communicate with the other guys and convince them to join Miami, since Riley could not do that himself because of tampering purposes.
I will agree with you that the Heat need a center really badly. However, Wade and Lebron both need the ball in their hands to effective and to make plays. If there is another guy who is bringing the ball up the floor these guys are still one person removed before they can have the ball to make something happen on offense. I think these guys will get better at finding teammates and distributing to others, especially Lebron. In fact, Lebron is averaging just under 9 assists per game, so I would say the ball is moving around. The other two guys on the court other than the big three are just there to shoot open threes anyway and don't need to do anything except be ready when Wade or Lebron need to kick the ball out. If the Heat play against anyone with size they are just done. They have no rebounding, no shot blocking, no anything.
At this point it doesn't seem like anyone is frustrated that they aren't getting enough touches, or they aren't scoring enough points. It just seems like they are still adjusting and trying to learn how to play off of each others talents. Even though they are all in their primes, I don't think that has made a difference yet this season in terms of who is going to get the last shot, or who is going to be option number one. I think the bigger problem other than their rebounding issues is that they have no depth. The majority of the guys on their team other than Mike Miller wouldn't get many rotation minutes, if any on other top tier teams, and Miami has to play some of these guys significant minutes. Joel Anthony isn't going to start for anyone except Miami, Z is really old, Haslem is aging, etc.
I really hope Oden doesn't become the next Sam Bowie. Unfortunately, it looks like this is where Oden is heading to.
He was injury-prone through his career in college and I think he was always hurt in high school as well. He's still injury-prone even as a pro. So much for the "can't miss" pick everybody was telling us we would never go wrong on.
I made this post over 2 years ago. I was blasted by many people, including Monopoman, who told me I was too hasty to judge Oden because it was his first NBA game coming off of his first season-ending injury (the one right after he got drafted and had to sit the whole year) and he got hurt again. So I decided to back off and give Oden the benefit of doubt that he could come back and be that dominant center that the Blazers wanted ever since they locked onto Oden going back to the 2007 draft. As the injuries continued to pile on though, it became more and more clear that my first instinct was right all along. "Give Oden another chance to bounce back," I was told from my real-life friends again and again as well as other various people on different forums.
