Still no idea who it is (sounds like a lot of different voices... I am 90% I heard Tyler in there somewhere), but the music video sure is weird! Guy at the end of the credits is named Lilfuchs. And he has worked with Flying Lotus, according to his website. This leads me to believe Flying Lotus is certainly the key component of Captain Murphy. Also, because the rapper references "only doing Rachmaninov," which is something connected to FlyLo.
Oh yeah, and the beat is by TNGHT, as indicated by the title. So he's not producing his own stuff as far as I can tell.
Pretty solid detective work.
Good call on Captain Murphy. I've been giving it quite a bit of listens the past several days.
Truth. He was supposed to put something out this year, I think. But so was his look-alike, Cecil Otter, and he didn't either.
P.O.S. dropped an album today. I haven't gotten my hands on it, but I've listened to it. It's pretty great, sounds pretty different from his old stuff. It sounds less like his old Punk Band, and more like his recent work with Marijuana Deathsquads.
Kendrick Lamar has his new album out. At the moment, I'm not fond of it, but it could grow on me.
Daniel Tosh just had a Captain Murphy shirt on for his latest show. Zuko's avatar was the graphic. Aaaaand he showed a picture of FlyLo, Earl, and Tyler. I call bull****, I think Tosh is just fooling around. (And yes I watch Tosh.0 )
I still wonder why I invest time and energy into figuring this rapper out.
About Frox: for nearly 10 years, Frox has been helping women look good and feel great in easy-fit, mix-and-match, and work-to-weekend with just a few pieces by helping them make the right choices when it comes to clothing and accessories.

Because you're a hopelessly addicted fans. "Should start chargin per compliment/you give to me."-Earl, The Flying Creator.
Kendrick Lamar's new album did in fact grow on me. I only now gave it a couple serious listens, and I still detest the first couple songs, but it definitely gets better, and is a significant improvement over Section.80.
We won't see any new MF DOOM until Madvillainy 2 is released. Is that even scheduled for this year? I know DOOM said it's almost done, but those guys take forever on their music so who knows.

Cruel Winter announced. No date yet, but we can assume it'll drop sometime from December-February (or, if they follow the same schedule as Cruel Summer, it'll be released sometime in mid spring).
While I wait for Deltron 2, I'll be passing time with Joey Bada$$ and Kendrick Lamar, and most relevant to my interests, Macklemore.
I don't even know when Macklemore+Ryan Lewis' new album dropped, but I know it was recent. "The Heist," check it out.
We're pretty Overdue for an actual album from anyone in OF, Heems of Das Racist has a perpetually delayed album set to come out whenever he sobers up, if Death Grips keep pace they'll drop three more albums by christmas, Kid Cudi is supposed to release an album soon, Sage Francis and Cecil Otter SAY they'll release an album soon, Despot might release an album this year if we're lucky and sacrifice our firstborn children on 12/21/12, Sadistik has something out in a few months, and I would bet on an unannounced Flying Lotus release by the end of the year.
So, in short: hip-hop fans are in delayed release limbo, somewhere between the absolutely Grade A material that made 2012 one of the best years for music in ages, and the great releases that we were SUPPOSED to have by now.
Regardless of what should've been out already or what we're still waiting for, I've been extremely satisfied with the music that's come out in 2012. It's one of the best years in a very long time.
The next album I'm waiting for is Indicud. I have a feeling Cudi will deliver on this one, unlike WZRD...

No one said anything about it yet, so I'm gonna say it again. Quakers self-titled album is downright amazing and I highly suggest you guys check it out. Portishead guy produced it and it has a whole bunch of different dudes on it and it's flat amazing. It was released by Stones Throw, which released Madlib's stuff and all of MF Doom's stuff. Probably the best thing released this year.

A 41 track list? Damn...
Checking it out for sure.

I'm definitely going to check it out. Stones Throw is the best label in rap if you ask me.
Also, Captain Murphy drops a mixtape on the 15th. Duality. Song inside

"Description: Quakers is a hip-hop collective boasting 35 members which orbits around a core of three producers: Fuzzface (Geoff Barrow), 7-Stu-7 and Katalyst." That is very impressive. Wow.
I listened to a 20-song stream and it is just fantastic.

Captain Murphy mixtape tomorrow. Prepare your orgasms.
I can't even link to the accompanying video or domain name on here. It's that NSFW. The video is scarier / more shocking than anything Odd Future has tried to do.

New POS? Shiii, have to get on that.

The song Hodgy and Tyler did with Trash Talk was quite a gimmick but wasn't the worst thing ever put out.
Excited for Lil B's rock album.
Kendrick Lamar is west coast Nas
Still waiting on new Deltron, Madgibbs, and MF DOOM.
In case you missed it, the Portishead dude produced a rap album with a bunch of dudes on it under the name Quakers. It's very good and very long.
What's the word on Deltron? Last I heard it was supposed to drop sometime in November?

And I was honestly kind of disappointed by POS's album. I only gave it one listen through so far, but nothing really popped out at me yuh know.

Some of it is a little lackluster. I'm a big fan of 'Knives, Bricks, Bats...,' How We Land, and Fire In The Hole/Arrow To The Action.
Some of the other stuff felt a little lacking, but I generally liked it. I still prefer Never Better, but it's better than Audition.
