I have a tendency to be a bit of a curmudgeon, and have the mentality "If it is not broken, do not fix it". That is just me though.
I saw Mad Max actually and was rather nonplussed by the movie for the most part. It had its moments, but still is nowhere near as good as Road Warrior.
Mad Max showed that a reboot can be done and be good, this... this feels like amazing spiderman in regards to reboot quality
The appeal of the Mad Max movies is the worldbuilding and themes. The appeal of Ghostbusters is the comedy talent headlining it. So a recast remake is a much, much dicier proposition in the latter case than the former.
That said, we haven't seen a single minute of the remake yet, so it's kind of premature to say it's gonna suck.
