So I'm taking an adolescent psychology class for the summer and I have to watch a movie having to do with issues adolescents face and write a report about it. Does anybody know any good movies? I'm not too familiar with this genre. The central theme in the movie could be drug abuse, fitting in, rebellion, mental health, sexuality etc, it doesn't really matter. It just has to be a good movie I can write two pages about.

City of God would be my favorite, though it's not exactly representative of a modern first-world adolescent... Honestly man you could pick any random film and have like a 25% chance of it having a solid deal of relevance if you don't care about it being too realistic or contemporary. You could go with star wars IV.
Oh yea, Pan's Labyrinth and The Devil's Backbone would also be ones I'd personally consider.

"Virtue, Jacques, is an excellent thing. Both good people and wicked people speak highly of it..."
I'd like to echo a few that have been mentioned: Juno (teenage pregnancy) & Perks of Being a Wallflower (struggling to fit in, mental health), Pan's Labyrinth (imagination), Moonrise Kingdom (independence, social awkwardness). Id also suggest Blue is the Warmest Color (teenage sexuality), Dazed and Confused (drugs), Life of Pi (coping mechanisms), Precious (abuse), Beast of the Southern Wild (poverty), American Beauty (rebellion), Basketball Diaries (drugs), American History X (social status, racism, impact of family dynamics), Mud (curiosity).
Boyz n the Hood also works if you want a socio economic angle or the Notebook if you want to delve into teenage love
People recommending Juno: He said GOOD adolescent films.
I would recommend:
Brick (To be fair, not sure how useful this is for what you're going for, but irrelevant. It's ******* Brick.)
The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys
Ghost World
The Perks of Being a Wallflower
I guess Dead Poet's Society is pretty much mandatory
Ditto Ferris Buehler
Rushmore
Almost Famous
Along the more fantastical,
Let the Right One In
Never Let Me Go
I think I'll go with "The Perks of Being a Wallflower". It seems to be pretty interesting and it has a number of interesting points I could write about. Thanks for the help.
