The question is, is he recognizable enough that people would like to see him? Fenix was only in SC1 but I have the impression that many people know and like him because he had a pretty prominent and positive role in the story. Heart of the swarm was probably played by more people than the SC1-campaign but Dehaka is not a very memorable character. I only found him when I was browsing a list of Starcraft characters in response to your question. Even then my reaction was "Oh, yeah, I guess this guy was in the game. I barely remember him."
None of the new SC2 characters seem to have the same impact as the SC1 cast, and I don't think it's just the nostalgia filter talking. Valerian Mengsk, maybe, for his plot importance, but in his own right he's pretty bland (and blandly pretty).

So match making saw fit to put my team and me against a pro team (cloud 9) the day. All we wanted to do was practice our dive comp. They had twice our mmr and we got our butts handed to us on a silver platter.
On the plus side we got to play with awall from tgnsquadron last night. The newest balance patch seems to he buffing diablo and etc but I hope they don't ignore the other tanks. They are nerfing abathur's siege locusts, which I do not like and feel was totally unnecessary.
The changes to siege locusts is very needed. They already stated that they had more health than originally intended and many people had taken to playing Abathur as a cheese champ, abusing the range they had, and just burrowing into the enemy base and spawning locusts (requiring someone ton constantly hang back near base to stop him). My friends had been experiencing this almost every other game for the past few weeks.
I never get any stuttering with HotS, the game always runs smooth as silk unless my net in general is having issues (Steam updating, too much Netflix streaming, etc.)

To be clear I don't mind that bd abby is being nerfed. I don't like how they're going about it though. I feel there are better ways to do it and I feel like the way they are doing it does not actually stop it. People can for example cheese with abby/zag and abby can take UE and wreak face with that instead. Also I think abby can still bd behind turrets but I will have to test that out.
What they should do is make the keep area protected from mines until you kill a keep. That would take care of the cheese and abby's siege would still be good.
Am I probably the only person on the planet who never notice any buff/nerf on heroes unless they entirely change the abilities? Just about the only hero change I can remember is that Flastad's ult used to be a delayed head-slam or something, and that a few heroes have their first and second ults swapped. Changes in numbers barely catch my attention
And finally Sylvanas is FTP. A jungler's dream come true. Still waiting for the vikings to become FTP too; they're the last hero I haven't played yet.
TLV are awesome, very micro intensive and take some getting used to. They are like playing abby on crack - but if you get good with them they are just ridiculous. The trick is knowing when to split them for xp soak and when to keep them together.
I am pleased with the new Gazlowe skin, although I have a feeling it will be beyond what I consider a reasonable price. Yeah, I am one of those sick people who plays a lot of Gazlowe (second most played hero I think).

I can respect good gazlowe players and on some maps he is amazing (sky temple, cursed hallow, dragon shire). He also fits into some team comps with excellent wombo combo potential. For example gaz with jaina, nova, really good together with their ultimates. Nazeebo also does really well with him.
.... Wow... I think I really need to test out ETC and Diablo now that they've gotten a significant change.... but first thing first is what's with all the bump on the mana cost of their abilities?
I have been tearing it up as kerrigan lately. I have been a little obbsessed playing her and have become addicted to her play style. She might be my next masterskin I think.
Finally the Vikings are FtP. I think Blizzard should put them in an entirely different level of difficulty altogether; saying they are Very Hard to play is an understatement considering how hard it is to play them even when compared to Abathur and Illidan.
Bliz did confirm that the Eternal Conflict update itself this month will only give us the new map and the Butcher. Leoric and the Mink are still forthcoming. I kind of hope we get the Monk first because we really need a Diablo support option.

While I haven't tried the new map yet (duh XD), I'm slightly stoked about it as we finally get a map which is clearly not Warcraft-flavored. Sure, the Raven map and the Grave Golem map can be thought as a Diablo-ish place (unless we consider the Siege Giants), and the Pirate map probably came from Blizz's earlier game (if I'm not mistaken), but this new map looks sooo Diablo that it looks pretty fresh.
However, I think Blizz needs to start adding maps that are not 3-lanes; It slowly gets a bit boring when despite all the myriad of distinct objectives, the maps are all 3 lanes (except the Grave Golem map) with the exact same types of mercs (even if not the same amount and location). New types of mercs may be a good idea too.
And I have to say it again: Bring us a Starcraft map!!!!!!

Their netcode, or something, is so ******* terrible, that no matter how good your computer is random issues could make the game into a slideshow.
+1 at the SC2 characters being bland
Fenix was my homeboy. One of the most heart wrenching things I experienced as a teen playing video games.

I am really hoping the Crusader is a support, the Diablo side of the roster really needs one.

WTF
As for Crusader, seconded; finally having a Diablo Support hero would be nice. Now we just need a Starcraft Warrior and all is well.

Since we are getting Kael today I am going to guess the Crusader will be a launch day release next month.
