I played this game for the first time last night, and was blown away at how high the quality is.
The game involves you, the player, moving a firefly class vessel across the 'verse. You get two actions a turn, which you get to choose from a list of four possible actions. You can take a movement action, a buy action, a work action, or a deal action.
Move actions can be either a single space, or up to five spaces. If you move up to your full movement, it costs you a 100 credit fuel cell, and there is chance you run into a reaver.
The buy action can only be done on a planets with a shop. When you buy from a shop, you can look though the shops discard pile for cards you might want to buy. For every card chosen under three, you draw a card. Of the three cards you considered buying, you may buy up to two. Whatever you don't buy goes in the shops discarx pile.
To deal you have to be on a planet with a contact. You may choose jobs from a contact in the same manor you choose things to buy from a store. Jobs are how you make money to buy crew and equipment.
To work, you have to perform the actions on a job card. A lot of them are just loading cargo from one planet and unloading it on another.
The winner of the game is decided by a "story card" which there a few of. They detail the exact win condition, and every player has to try to do it. This means you can play a different game every time.
Turns are reallY short, mine averaging around 30 seconds or so. Amazing when you think about it, and the game took us at least five hours to finish.
Everything appears to be very well balanced and the art is very well done. My only complaint is the lack of movement options, but it is otherwise amazing. I would recommend this game to those of moderate experience with board gamed due to the number of rules and large set up requirements. Gameplay itself is very simple though, so you can still play casually with friends if you want.
Having watched the show has no in game benefits, so is not required for the full experience.
Does anybody else have anything to add? Stories, strategies or opinions?

Hoping for a cure, or at least an outbreak.

That's the one. I accidentally called it the wrong name, so I'm just gonna edit that real quick.
I was playing the game so long I forgot the name. Sometimes I wonder how I got through school.
