and some dark souls mixed with demon's souls before that
I know you were trying to get through Valkyria Chronicles a while ago, how did that work out for you?

Even if the author is silenced, the performance is stopped, the story will not end.
Whether it's a comedy or a tragedy, if there is cheering, the story will continue on.
Just like the many lives.
For the us who are still in it and still in the journey, send warm blessings.
- We will continue to walk down this path until eternity.
I finished it a while ago, it was pretty easy once I got super scouts.
Was it resist crossfire/double movement or the sheer amazingness that is grenade launchers?

I just beat InFamous 2. Really good game, better than I expected (I picked it up for free via PS+). Beat it the heroic way. I'm not sure how I feel about that ending, I don't feel I liked it.
On the plus side, the game was a blast to play. I may one day move on to the evil playthrough.

You really need to play the evil ending. If you haven't been spoiled to the ending it's got a few crazy tearjerker moments before the comic style cutscenes start

Last game I finished was Deus ex: Human Revolution + missing link dlc. I pre-ordered it, got in on release, and loved the game but for some reason took my good ol' time with it.
Just before that I finished Tomb Raider and am now working on Remember Me.
Just beat BioShock Infinite. Got it at release, was too busy with other games, and since completing Borderlands 2 for the umpteenth time- I burned right through it, since my last save back in April.
The ending made me do a double-take and made me ask some very philosophical questions... like How? But i'd guess it'd be more theoretical physics than philosophy.

SELVAXRI! King of Misfortune & Master of Rocket Launchers "Do ya feel lucky? Because you'd better start runnin' while you still can." 375 Misfortune {+3 signed AP's} & 104 Rocket Launcher (41 AQ/ 63 Rev) Edgar Rice Burroughs, forgotten legend of the word.
I just beat Heavy Rain for the PS3. It was an interesting game, but they certainly could have streamlined it. There were many scenes that were just for character development/forwarding the story but had menial tasks that were annoying. The action sequences were well scripted and exciting however. Several of the sequences were annoying though, particularly the ones requiring you to hold 5+ different buttons at once, since my hands are so small it was hard to reach and hold all the buttons without letting go. That said the story was pretty good, and I didn't suspect the identity of the true killer until near the end after Manfreds chapter. Looking forward to playing The Last of Us next.
Eternal Sonata not to long ago. the ending didn't have any closure...
gotta run through it once more to get the 'Encore' achievements.

I haven't actually finished playing a video game all the way through in quite some time, so it was a bit of an accomplishment for me to not only finish the game, but find all of the collectibles and fully upgrade and unlock everything available and still not have lost interest by the end of it.
I just started Brotherhood two nights ago; so far the game is just as glorious as AC2, but... I don't know. The way the memories work, where you get 100 percent sync by doing something specific during the memory, that adds an extra level of challenge and, at times, frustration, to it. I've also heard that the story isn't as deep as AC2's, and the entire thing with Desmond in the future, being able to just run around aimlessly in one little area felt a little gimmicky, but maybe it expands later in the game. I also have Revelations and AC3 on standby for when I finish; I am trying to get through all of them before the fourth one drops.

I'm not nearly 100% complete yet, but I just worked on Binding of Isaac for a while for the first time since it came out.
Unlocked all characters, beat Mom and Mom's Heart with everyone except ???, beat Isaac with Isaac, beat Satan with Cain and Judas, and got to Mom with ???.
This time through I did it without healers on the team. At first it was really difficult just to keep all the team members at about the same level because I just had so many fighters. When everyone is a front line fighter, there's not enough room. I eventually filled the team out with archers and mages, so it worked out much better then.

Out of curiosity, do you prefer Shining Force or Shining Force 2? Everyone I know likes #2 better, but I've always been a bigger fan of #1.

I do prefer #2. The first one has a host of issues that the second one improved on.
Shining Force:
The AI is terrible.
Random level up stats are really random. "Hans is now level 5. No stats, sorry!"
The chapter breaks feel awkward.
Many characters just aren't viable while others are pushed way too hard (e.g. Adam vs Musashi)
The AI is abominable.
They make up for the terrible AI by giving every enemy in the late game a "cheat attack" that ignores defense.
The Marionette having Freeze 3 is a bug.
Bosses randomly regenerating chunks of health is a poor way to make them more "difficult."
It just feels really short.
Shining Force II has much smarter enemies, smoother level up progressions while still being random, and it doesn't have the chapter breaks. It's also a longer game with more viable characters. There's also more hidden stuff to find, some of which can change the way characters are promoted.
