Judging by those sales figures it looks as though the Dragon Ball Z TCG by Panini America hasn't been living up to the hype of the old game by Score Entertainment 15 years ago where the current meta isn't as diverse as other Trading Card Games / Collectible Card Games ranked on the list. That being said I find it ironic that Pokemon TCG managed to outsell Yu-Gi-Oh! while they're on the same path of unsustainable power creep when MTG is starting to become too expensive to keep up competitively in both Standard and Modern which is why a lot of MTG players are jumping ship to Force of Will TCG. Weiss Schwarz I feel is pretty much on it's way out while I'm starting to see UFS (Ultimate Fighting System) take it's place where there seems to be a locals growing for it exclusively in Omaha, NE.

"Cancel Culture is the real reason why everyone's not allowed to have nice things anymore." - Anonymous
"For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?" - Mark 8:36
"Most men and women will grow up to love their servitude and will never dream of revolution." - Aldous Huxley, Brave New World
"Every life decision is always a risk / reward proposition." - Sanjay Gupta
1 Magic: The Gathering - Wizards of the Coast +0
2 Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG - Konami Digital Entertainment +1
3 Pokemon TCG - Pokemon USA -1
4 Force of Will - Force of Will +2
5 Marvel and DC HeroClix - WizKids -1
6 Dice Masters - WizKids -1
7 Cardfight!! Vanguard - Bushiroad +1
8 Future Card Buddyfight - Bushiroad +2
9 D&D Fantasy Miniatures - WizKids NEW
10 Weiss Schwarz - Bushiroad -1
No longer top 10
Legend of the Five Rings - Alderac Entertainment Group
Notes:
Pokemon and Yugioh switch spots again in the eternal struggle for second. With pokemon's 20th just having passed and the news surrounding pokemon GO, I wouldn't be surprised if Pokemon takes back second more permanently next time.
Force of Will jumped two spots from 6 to 4. The jump from 4 to 3 is a huge jump, so simply making four is a huge milestone. Force of Will has shown results and might be here to stay.
Card Games are doing better than noncard games in general.
L5R is removed due to a technicality. It's no longer being printed as a collectable card game.
Overall this is a pretty predictable list. Just confirming things people already saw coming.
I feel it's worth pointing out that the swap of Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon is only for the hobby store sales. Due to the factor of mass channel (which is Pokemon, Magic, and Yu-Gi-Oh in that order) the overall top rankings are as follows:
#1: Magic: the Gathering
#2: Pokemon TCG
#3: Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG
#4: Force of Will
#5: Marvel and DC HeroClix
These charts of the Top 5 Collectible Games Over-all, Top 3 Mass Market Channel Collectible Games and Top 10 Hobby Channel Collectible Games reflect sales in Spring 2016. The charts are based on interviews with retailers, distributors, and manufacturers.
Top 10 Hobby Channel Collectible Games – Spring 2016
Title - Publisher
1 Magic: The Gathering - Wizards of the Coast [+0}
2 Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG - Konami [+0]
3 Pokemon TCG - Pokemon USA [+0]
4 Force of Will - Force of Will [+0]
5 Marvel and DC HeroClix - WizKids [+0]
6 Cardfight!! Vanguard - Bushiroad [+1]
7 Dice Masters - WizKids [-1]
8 D&D Fantasy Miniatures - WizKids [+1]
9 Pathfinder Battles - WizKids [NEW]
10 Dragon Ball Z TCG - Panini [NEW]
No longer top ten: Future Card Buddyfight and Weiss Schwarz by Bushiroad.
Notes:
Bushiroad's most successful game is higher rose a rank on the chart, but it's other two fell off the top ten. Curious.
Dragonball Z made it into the top ten!
Pathfinder Battles marks the 4th non-ccg to make it to the top ten.
Dicemasters appears to be still losing it's momentum. I wasn't very impressed with the game, but it was a novel idea, and heaven knows the industry needs more of those.
