Again, i wish forgotten Ancient was legal in Modern.
As for the Grafted Menace deck, I've got the list handy. So here..
Oh man seems like a very synergistic deck. Counters on counters on counters. I'd play it at a tournament and laugh the every time I got it and Corpsejack Menace out. Not to mention all the other fun jank you could pull off with card. Endless fog with Spike Weaver, it makes Arcbound Ravager into an even bigger power house. Though since I don't know what is and isn't viable in the format I can only speculate. What I do know is that the card is an amazing enabler, especially since all of cards actually use the counters for then just getting big now a days.
Why isn't it legal in Modern? There has to be some combo with it, I suppose, but still...
Well to my knowledge it was only printed in Scourge, Planechase and Archenemy. And because of that I don't think there is legal printing for it to be legal in Modern. I could be mistaken as I don't know a whole lot about the format.

Ah, right. I completely forgot about that.
I've been kinda out of magic for awhile now, and it's been a long time since I've seen that card.
So, I just got my ass handed to me by a very small wyvern.
I admit I may have been feeling a little overconfident, but the last few slaying missions of Monster Hunter had been easy. I felt like I was getting the controls more, I had a better Sword, and was in the process of upgrading my armor, and I had a pretty good Felyne companion along with me.
And then I met the Yian Kut Ku... it looks like this
Not exactly the scariest looking dragon. I mean, for one, it's only about twenty feet long or so at most, in a game where, at one point, you fight a dragon larger than a castle. It's also kind of a bird-like thing, and this is even more apparent in the way it moves. Very bird like, not too graceful. Funny, even.
And this thing just kept kicking my ass. I would be doing fine, and then I wouldn't be quick enough and it would charge me and bam, half my life gone. Plus, it can fly. Not necessarily a huge deal, except that Monster Hunter isn't one big open world, there are zones that you access. This thing can fly to different zones, find some water or a sleeping spot, and start healing itself, at which point you have to basically run after it, and try and figure out how to get to wherever it went.
And this is the "beginner" wyvern. It just gets harder from here.
This game is kinda just a little awesome.
Haha nice one, while googling it for potential use in a sig it came up in french labelled: Pink Chicken
Made me snort with laughter in a very non-ladylike fashion.
better than being hit for 20 by an ornithopter... reminds me, i now have tools to go back and make my sunflare shaman deck more competitive/reliable... or rather make a deck just for him. seeing as he was juss splashed into my BR elemental deck...

I've met a number of veteran player's who also don't know about the card. It's easily overlooked and often underrated. I also think that because it came out in the during the Onslaught block most people at the time either played tribal or affinity leaving little to no love for the card.
Not that I'm complaining. I love throwing this guy out in an EDH game waiting two turns and having an effective 10/13 on the field without having to do anything. Then watching everyone on the table freak out over him.

Nope, I should've remembered this guy. He was a cornerstone of my deck in the early days. This + Mycoloth is awesome.

Oh man he and mycoloth have some crazy synergy. I also enjoy using him with skullbrair, the walking grave and Ghave, Guru of spores. I've been tossing around the idea of a GR counter deck. Utilizing him and a great deal of the different Hydras as a pseudo burn setup. With Ulasht, the Hate Seed at the helm. And then including in Ashling, the Pilgrim and Ion Storm. Along with plenty of other countery goodness.

Hello old new guy! Any tips you may have for me? As exciting as being the new guy can be. I'd hate to end up like the New Guy from Recess.
I apologize if there are any glaring errors I typed this out on my phone.
I remember when I was the new guy.
Our new member influx kind of ebbs and flows. So you could be the new guy for awhile, but don't worry, it's never really that important to us as long as you're not a kitten murderer.
*le gasp* kitten murderer?!!!! *cries in a corner* not the kitties! =;-;=
Indeed being the newest member doesnt mean much, the important part is being a member not being new *shakes my old man cane at the whippersnapper* get off my lawn!

I run Black Cat so that shouldn't be too much of an issue. Because warm gooey apples mixed with cinnamon, ice cream and/or whipping cream is sugary heaven.

Because it wasn't printed in any Modern-legal set.
