Seth if you ever do want to leave, I can attempt to keep the Pack going, but man am I glad you stick around.
I seem to be one of very few of us who still has any attachment here, but I'd prefer if we DO get some activity in here. I very much care about our clan thread, and it seems a few of us do. We should do things here sometimes, maybe help with clan contests, participate in them more often too!

Currently Getting Back into the swing of MTGS. Bear with me folks~
I care, just with my net being what it is at school i'm kinda detached from mtg in general. Which kinda sucks cause before the semester started I had kinda been getting back into it. Im happy we keep a thread around because one day i will get back into it im sure and on that day it'd be nice to have a specifically mtg related area to post my ideas in where they wont wash away with the random.
So i just bought the Secretist yesterday, haven't started reading beyond the first page, because i'd kinda like to finish the ravnica block novels before i do, only problem is i'm halfway through ravnica, guildpact and Dissension are sitting next to the heater.

Aloha fellow Pack members! Wanted to say hello a bit since I haven't posted in a while. Currently working on using a tablet for the first time which has been both frustrating and enlightening I must say Xx
For me it's more so that I've grown detached from MTGS due to how much worse it keeps getting. As for the random, well we can't really be random here anymore without the mods getting on us.
How much worse is it getting? I haven't noticed any changes over the years.
Greetings from me. I've just been extremely busy with being staff on a couple Gundam RPG boards.

Really? The over all intelligence of the user base has declined starkly. The Rumor Mill is a cess pool of ignorance and angst where your opinion is always wrong no matter what. Before they messed with Community Issues there was nothing but mod hate and gutter debates. The mods crack down on everything much harder now. Even the individual format forums are becoming warped and entitled. The forums aren't fun anymore. You can't hold a decent conversation without some kind of drama from someone.

You have to remember, I'm rarely in the other forums. I did hang around Rumor Mill for a bit, but I never made new threads, and after I posted in my opinion, I usually never revisited the thread again. Custom Card Creation is fairly chill too, which was another place I hung around.
I've just never been very active in anywhere other than this thread, so most drama that goes on outside of here just doesn't affect me. And except for that one incident over the summer, we're a pretty chill clan.
Flavor = The Backstory of cards, and the old (now extinct paper novel line) Flavor text.
Sporeback Troll doesn't have "flavor text" so what exactly makes it flavorful and why is it your favorite. "because it wins games" is not flavorful and thus doesn't fly.
Please, Loki. Explain to us, Other than using "because it won me games and regeneration is awesome" Why Sporeback Troll is your favorite card. Why is it flavorful to you.
For example, My favorite card is Tsunami, and while it won me an 8 man game and was the topdeck of the millennium I like it because it sweeps away the hopes of blue mages (which i dislike, i'm willing to play blue when need be, but i dislike the color in magic. i'm more about politics and aggression than countering your spells and denying you the ability to play.)
That Sweeping away the hopes of blue mages, is flavorful because that's exactly what a tsunami does, it wrecks islands.

My favorite is Mycoloth, because he reminds me of a video game boss. Being a huge creature that just spawns a ton of little minions to send at you. He seems like something I could fight in Skyrim or Monster Hunter, which is cool.
Stuff like that is what we're looking for. Honestly, just read the front page.
Hello members of the pack. I have come here seeking to join the pack.
Favorite card: Forgotten Ancient I love this card for a great number of reasons. First its green, may favorite color in Magic. The first deck I ever built was green my first set of sleeves where green. Secondly his mechanic is not only super unique but useful and ever so fun to play with and around. He makes an appearance in every deck I build that has green in it. He occasionally get's cut because I only have two copies T_T but hopefully that will change over time. Furthermore his flavor text Its blood is life. Its body is growth. not only ties into his mechanic but also plays perfectly into green's color pie. The fact that is was the first community made card that Magic printed just adds to how awesome the card is.
I currently have the card in two of my EDH decks. One a Glissa, the Traitor in which I use him along side Mindless Automaton and Arcbound Reclaimer and the other a Multani, Maro-Sorcerer in which he just has to be there because what druid tribal deck would be complete with a card who in a way is the living embodiment of life. Okay, Okay, okay, I'm going to stop now, but come on how awesome is this card?
As for Forgotten Ancient, i was not aware that it was a community made card. (if so, source?) and i run it in my Animar deck because with every player casting spells, i swap the counters to Animar and every creature i cast only costs colored mana, that's pretty wicked... I WISH he were Modern, because then he'd be a centerpiece in my Grafted Menace deck (Think Graft creatures + CorpseJack Menace + Bramblewood Paragon) Graft back and forth and one +1/+1 counter becomes 2, and 2 becomes utterly stupid.

Here is the most comprehensive source I could find.
Oh man that Animar deck sounds like it would be a lot of fun to play. Especially considering Blue and Red have a ton of cheep spells to feed him. Oh dear I might start brewing again, this usually never ends well for my other responsibilities. /: Grafted Menace deck, I'm not sure how competitive the deck since I stopped playing competitively before modern became a thing. He would be a power house in the deck though. Which just further verifies my point that he's pure awesomeness.
So, I just got my ass handed to me by a very small wyvern.
I admit I may have been feeling a little overconfident, but the last few slaying missions of Monster Hunter had been easy. I felt like I was getting the controls more, I had a better Sword, and was in the process of upgrading my armor, and I had a pretty good Felyne companion along with me.
And then I met the Yian Kut Ku... it looks like this
Not exactly the scariest looking dragon. I mean, for one, it's only about twenty feet long or so at most, in a game where, at one point, you fight a dragon larger than a castle. It's also kind of a bird-like thing, and this is even more apparent in the way it moves. Very bird like, not too graceful. Funny, even.
And this thing just kept kicking my ass. I would be doing fine, and then I wouldn't be quick enough and it would charge me and bam, half my life gone. Plus, it can fly. Not necessarily a huge deal, except that Monster Hunter isn't one big open world, there are zones that you access. This thing can fly to different zones, find some water or a sleeping spot, and start healing itself, at which point you have to basically run after it, and try and figure out how to get to wherever it went.
And this is the "beginner" wyvern. It just gets harder from here.

I've always been a fan of the Simics Graft mechanic and he has saved my life in several duels due to his regen ability, and his art is super cool.
