I'm talking to you, lol. Though shoulda just said, "boo."
Go for the Throat is a wicked card. I likes it very much so.
That's not bad, either, imo.
I prefer elvis "Thank ya, Thank ya very much"
Exactly!!! *evil laugh*
So guys. I need a new avy/sig set. Suggestions? I was thinking maybe Marvin Martian?
I'm pretty sure r_0's still planning to do it for you. He's just been busy gardening and doing lawn work. We laid a good bit of sod this last weekend, don't cha know?
Hahaha, I laughed so much when I read this. I know all of that.
I hate touch screens!!!! Why the hell does everything have to be all touch screen? Especially touch screens that don't register when a freaking nail touches them. My last phone did. Samsung sucks. /mini rant
Edit: tordeck, you didn't answer my question!! Your opinion on Nightmare Before Christmas, please?

or screens that hate pencil erasers when in class.
I really need a copy of that movie. Plus every Twilight movie. Plus every Harry Potter movie (though I got the second half of HPatDH for Christmas, so I don't need that one) on DVD.
Sealed will be fun. The format looks remarkably like ROE, constructed cards are at a low, but the drafting and sealed looks awesome. Hopefully it'll be as fun as it looks becuase I'll be doing many a draft and sealed on moto/release events :-p gunna be cool.

Manders are you going to the Grand Prix in San Antonio?
Actually, I did think about it, but only if Sene goes to that GP. I'm not actually big into Magic. I've never even attended an event. But I'd go if it meant I get to meet Sene!!

I currently refuse to switch to blu-ray.
Having actually read the Twilight books, I'll say that they were alright considering the genre but I still don't get how people have gone so crazy over them. I also saw the first movie as well, but it struck me as a rather poor visual aid to the book. That is, instead of trying to make a decent movie in its own right they just took the script right from the text of the book, but with a bunch of parts missing from time constraints. Made it all choppy and awkward so I didn't bother looking into the other ones.
I did also read The Host (same author, but a different genre) and thought it was legitimately good, though I never hear people mention it. Was surprised to see a trailer for its movie counterpart recently and I'll likely see that one.
For older movies, The Princess Bride is the only VHS-released movie I went back to get the DVD for. Now that is a timeless classic.
Oh yeah, and **** blu-ray. I don't think the average person actually gets anything from the upgrade.
Of course now I'm curious. Manders, have you read any of the stuff by Laurell K. Hamilton, Jeaniene Frost, Kelly Armstrong, or Kim Harrison?

I do think there's plenty for contructed. Assuming I open 1-2 Tamiyos, I plan to build a U/W(/g?) tap-out control using a number of the new cards. Bonfire of the Damned and Entreat the Angels could have maybe NOT been mythics though.

I'll agree the books were much better than the movies. What's her nuts ruined them. I hate that they cast her to play Bella. I love that they cast Dakota Fanning to play Jane, though. That was beautiful.

I read an excerpt from that book on her website (I think? I don't even remember where I came across it) once and thought it was excellent. I need to get that one. Didn't know they were making a movie about it. The plot of the book was excellent and something many people would probably be interested in...but once they find out it's based on a book by her, their prejudice will blind them and they won't watch it.
Oh, well.
For older movies, The Princess Bride is the only VHS-released movie I went back to get the DVD for. Now that is a timeless classic.
I never even saw that until a few years ago. But it is good, yes.
Oh yeah, and **** blu-ray. I don't think the average person actually gets anything from the upgrade.
No, you have to have special TVs and **** to actually benefit from it, and I can't afford that crap.
Of course now I'm curious. Manders, have you read any of the stuff by Laurell K. Hamilton, Jeanine Frost, Kelly Armstrong, or Kim Harrison?
I know Laurell K Hamilton wrote the True Blood books, but I haven't read them. Yet. (Again: need them.) Never heard of the others.

Personally I really like Restoration Angle. I think that card is quite good. I'm still undecided on Vexing devil though I feel like he could be good. The mythics are rather unimpressive, though Tamiyo seems pcretty legit. I really think she could be a powerhouse. Decent into madness seems interesting aswell, though I'd have to think long and hard on how to use it correctly. Idk, the set my have a few hidden hems in it but I'll need to be impressed. I'm not sure how much constructed I'll be playing with the cards... Though like I said, PLENTY OF LIMITED!

LOL trying to quote therestless' post...AND IT'S NOT THERE ZOMG.
Oh, yeah, Charlene Harris did True Blood.
Anita Blake is another series on my list of "MUST READ" books. As well as the Demonata series by Darren Shan. I've already read the Cirque du Freak series, which was awesome.
I do love vampires and all things related to them. Buffy and Angel?
I know Laurell K Hamilton wrote the True Blood books, but I haven't read them. Yet. (Again: need them.) Never heard of the others.
Looking it up, it seems that Charlaine Harris did the True Blood books but they're all modern-day supernatural fantasy books.
Hamilton does the Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter series which, for the first dozen or so books, is amazing but has gotten pretty bland since then. Also did the Meredith Gentry series (completed) which is shorter, and a bit saucier. I credit Hamilton with the most convincing inclusion of vampires, lycans, and magic into a modern-day world where the supernatural is known to the general public (not a small feat), though Kim Harrison does a fine job on that.
Jeaniene Frost does the Night Huntress series (another Vampire Hunter series, and a good bit of fun).
Kim Harrison does the Rachel Morgan, The Hollows series (mostly about witches and demons, though the vampires and lycans are there) and does pretty compelling work.
Kelley Armstrong does the Otherworld books. Not as much a fan of her as the others but still a decent writer. It all feels rather scattered though, as while there's a lot of interweaving of the characters in her books each one tends to have a different main character that it focuses on.

Restoration Angel is pretty crazy. Vexing Devil will be great, but not as much in T2 as people are thinking. He'll shine in the modern and legacy burn decks that would be playing things like Lava Spike and Rift Bolt anyway.
I don't know why but I seem to have a thing for niche combo decks. Before I was playing Empires Combo, then Shape Anew Combo and now I'm going to play CursedPool
I don't really much to contribute to the vampire theme of discussion other than the fact that the few vampires I enjoy reading about are Blade and Lestat.
I'm not sure if I just have an overly critical LGS or if my deck-building skills are rather sparse lately but I can't seem to make a good T2 deck stick o.O

Third on the eww Twilight...
Harry Potter is a series that has always managed to fascinate me. I really have a love/hate relationship with it. I like the movies, haven't read the novels but don't like a lot of the fanbase of the movies/books. Maybe it's just me, but girls in my High School can't shut up about it. When this one girl said that the same actor who played Dumbeldore portrayed Gandalf I was going to go in to nerdrage mode ;).
Lord of the Rings has managed to be my favourite fantasy series (novels and movies, both amazing) which has prompted me to buy all of them in extended and regular edition.
I'm talking to you, lol. Though shoulda just said, "boo."
