Nah. I played a bit of MW2 on the Xbox (even got through the singleplayer campaign), and it was enjoyable. I'm just a total sucker for being able to destroy buildings.
It misses some things from BF2 (like Commander and the commo rose), and the whole "WTF knife" and sniper spam is a bit annoying. I also miss the ability to throw grenades back... Overall, I think it's great though.
MW2 doesn't suck, I just prefer BC2. SMASHY SMASHY.
EDIT:
True Dat.
Yeah if they were to make the next CoD with a destructible environment, I think it would be hard to top that.
And yes I like that they removed the grenade spam from the first MW (although they added more tubing options...), and I do enjoy the different strategic aspects of semtex but when I'm trying to get the Hot Potato challenge (kill people with thrown back grenades)... it kind of sucks that nobody uses grenades.
Great game, but best game series for me has to go to either Fallout or Elder Scrolls. No one can make an rpg like bethesda can.
PREACH ON BROTHER MAN!
r_0 thoroughly enjoys playing Fallout 3 (and even I can since there's an auto-aim function), but Oblivion (Elder Scrolls IV) is just ☺☺☺☺ing amazing and soooo much fun to play!
I'm back to paying attention to [The Family] again. I've been paying close attention to the Steam sale and picked up some cool games for way cheap. Monkey Island, X-COM, Tropico 3, PT Winterbottom, Red Faction Guerrilla, GTAIV, Gothic Bundle (Gothic II and Gothic 3 Complete), Flotilla, Galcon Fusion, Introversion Complete Pack (Darwinia, DEFCON, Multiwinia, and UpLink). I've already got too many games on my pile of shame but they're just so cheap. I still have to finish ME2 and Dragon Age (damn you Bioware and your cocaine-like RPGs),
I also need to pick up the God of War games, Heavy Rain and Just Cause 2 and Red Dead Redemption.
Anyone have any recommendations for PS3 games besides the 4 games listed above? I've played through the Uncharted series and loved it and I'm fairly eclectic when it comes to gaming.
EDIT: I loved ME1, despite the damned driving and the upgrade system. So far in ME2 (which I've barely scratched the surface on) I'm loving the mining system, the upgrades and the interrupt method. For those of you who played ME2, Paragon or Renegade?
That's the problem with being 16. I need to convince my parents to get it, and even then I have no way of knowing when they'll buy it.
The solution here is to force said computer to cease functioning. Obviously, don't be taking a hammer to it, but it's much easier to convince an upgrade if the CD drive (and most of the USB ports) have ceased functioning.

Sweet, I already owned Darwinia, but it was basically Defcon and the other two games for the sale price of DEFCON, so I snapped at the opportunity. I'll probably download it and play it on this 3-day weekend.

I went renegade, but I finished the campaign too fast to properly get enough renegade points for cool things (like getting that evil daughter version of one of your companions). I might try out paragon when I play it again although being evil always seems more fun.
Since it's come up recently: for anyone who has any interest in Half Life 2, it's on sale on steam for the next 19.5 hours for $3.39 (link). It may not be an RPG but the series so far (Episode 1 and 2 along with the original) have some of the best story telling in a game I've ever played. Episode 2 especially (the ending, most of all).

Paragon, though I had like 20-25% points in Renegade. I just like to interrupt as much as possible.
I must say as well the mining system gets rather repetitive after awhile.
And I have no idea most of the games you just listed. I don't have a console. Tragic, I know.
does no-one else just like shooting zombies
L4D2 FTW
(and Plants v.s Zombies-one of the most epic games of all time)
Only play L4D2 with my buddies on the rare occasions.
Agreed on Plants vs Zombies though. Do you know if you tinker with your computer clock system for your Gardens, you can get near-infinite amount of gold? (Hint: Daisies)
My blog.
Oh you should, it's damn good.

For some reason I couldn't get into that game.

* kpaca's xbox just got the red ring of death.
I know, but I can't play it on this computer. 512 RAM is teh sucks.
My blog.
It's okay. I understand why people like it but I'm not a hardcore fan. I got 1000g off it easy.
*cringe* 8gb RAM on my desktop. 2gb on my laptop. You're due for an upgrade son.
That's the problem with being 16. I need to convince my parents to get it, and even then I have no way of knowing when they'll buy it.
Same reason that my most advanced console is a 7-year-old PS2 (admittedly, I'm still playing it an have a huge list of games I want for it).
My blog.
OHHH 16! That's why you don't like Heroes; it started when you were 12.
PS2 is definitely the console I'd keep if I had to pick just one. The list of games is so broad and still fun to play.
Many thanks to Sgt. Chubbz of Damnation studios.

Indeed! It's about time, too.

Actually, I just never watched it. I don't watch TV much - the only show I watched regularily was Stargate.
My blog.
Never did try Morrowind though.
Recently just completed Dragon Age: Awakenings. I think Origins was better.
I also got Bioshock, but never completed it. Am thinking of getting Bioshock 2 as well since apparently you can use a Big Daddy in it.
Modern warfare variant games are more up my brother's alley though. So is shmups. Heh.
I am a fan of the Stargate series as well, probably for nostalgic reason. It was the first TV series I ever followed seriously.
Just completed Glee. Really good and fun series as well.
But recently I am swamped with Mafia, what with hosting one game and an upcoming one. Not mention Clan Mafia~
We'll make you an offer you can't refuse.

Quite possibly... But I played BF2, so my heart lies with the series.

They are totally identical. The only difference is that you can duel-wield plasmids and weapons in the second.
You have a win. Defcon is so awesome

That game was incredible.
Game I'm waiting for now is Guild Wars 2 as I consider Guild Wars 1 possibly my favorite game of all time (and GW2 is looking stunning).
