I actually just read that. (I now check Tumblr before any other website.) I have to say. I'm actually really glad a read the whole thing, because I was so torn on whether or not to see Terminator, but now, on your recommendation, I believe I will spend my 12 bucks next week on this instead of Night at the Museum 2.

I'm sorry but i must ask why would you even consider watching Owen Wilson over Mr. Potty mouth dont get in the middle of my scene or else ill rip you apart?
And in a serious note if it werent for Robin Williams i cannot even imagine watching Night in the Museum 2 (or 1 for that matter) i mean Stiller+Wilson? my god its like willingly submitting oneself to waterboarding.

Because, sometimes its okay to shut off the movie critic and lover part of my head and just enjoy something stupid and silly that I won't be analyzing for a week after its viewing. The first one, was actually incredibly entertaining and funny, and when Ben Stiller isn't doing is own writing he actually can be a good comedic actor.
And what do you have against Owen Wilson?
EDIT: I've been meaning to say this for a while, but I love you D3 avatar.

I'm glad I could help. I lucked into the screening and loved the film immensely. It was worth sitting in a packed house for a free showing of the movie.
Night at the Museum: I agree with Evan here--the first was actually pretty fun, if you don't look at it too seriously and embrace the spectacle of it. The second promises to be more of the same but with a new cast of figures to poke fun at (Amelia Earhart included, I saw)

I also believe the much beloved Craig Robinson plays as a Tuskegee Airman. And I mean, the rest of the cast looks to be great. Hank Azaria, Steve Coogan, Ricky Gervais...the list really just goes on and on.
Well ill be fair Night on the Museum 1 was good whenever i wasnt suffering Stiller in the scene or WIlson doing much talking, Night 2 im sure will be good but still i cant ring myself to willingly watch it... I dont know something about Stiller simply kills all the fun for me, and Owen just like the other Wilson brother is plain bland in my view... his attempt at comedy is well its commendable but not very effective. Every movie i have seen with either of them on it have been carried not by their comedic acting but rather by the supporting and other stars in the movies... but thats just my views.
Ep. Glad you like my Mr.StayPuff Marshmallow man the artwork is actually Blizzard official, it was released in response to the wave of whining/*****ing/moaning the internet did
over the video releases of D3 where they complained it was so light filled and to WoW like

I did actually like the first one, but actually going to see the 2nd one, ehhh... I'd rather wait for it to hit DVD... i'm curious about some of the movies out there already on DVD, like Last Chance Harvey, Marley and Me, and Milk... I'd like to see some of those.
So, Brad was supposed to get his other two wisdom teeth out today, but apparently the dentist ****ed up the time frame and said "oh you're getting them out Wednesday instead" so all my plans to take a half day off work were screwed, so now I'm taking a half day off work tomorrow, only to have to come back at 4:30 for a night meeting... and I can't really skip this one, because I'm skipping the next month's meeting because I'M getting my own wisdom teeth out. So that means I leave at like 12:30ish, take care of Brad, come back at 4:30, stay at work until 7:30 or 8, then walk back home to take care of Brad and crash for a full day of work on Thursday. Oy. And, I'm hungry. I forgot to bring my lunch because I thought I wasn't going to be here for work today past 12. There's free bread in the kitchen, so I might just grab a few of those and munch on them for lack of anything better to eat.
Last night i missed the Bachelorette and Dancing with The Stars, so I'm going to try to watch those tonight and try to get Brad to submit some resumes, since he apparently can't stay at his current job for the summer, so his last day is next Friday, so he desperately needs to find a new job and he's gonna be out of commission after tomorrow for a few days... then we're going to his parents' house for a memorial day bbq/campout weekend kinda thingie.
And I'm just tired and worn out from last night's meeting (I worked from 8am-9:30pm yesterday... oy.)
Owen just like the other Wilson brother is plain bland in my view... his attempt at comedy is well its commendable but not very effective. Have you seen any of Wes Anderson's movies? Both Wilson brothers, (Luke being the other one) are always pretty good in them. I think Owen's problem is that his comedic style is best in very dry scripts, and he thinks himself too much a mainstream actor to really get into movies like that. But, my suggestion, watch The Royal Tennenbaums. He is downright hilarious in that flick.

I have seen the Royal Tennenbaums, i have seen a lot of the Wilson's films just like i have seen a lot of Stillers films, I just simply dont like them as actors.

To each their own then. If I came off a bit know-it-all-y, I'm sorry. It's just that most people aren't that familiar with Anderson's work.

I understand I just happened to watch a lot of HBO growing up so i saw more movies than i cared to at times
That being said i wonder who in here remembers an old cartoon movie called the Flight of Dragons? its actually the movie that got me interested in fantasy.

I was the same way. Always with the Home Box Office channel. Still am that way actually.
I do remember bits and pieces of that movie, but nothing real solid. Oddly enough, it too got me interested in fantasy. But, as most of us know, that was a short lived interest. Little known fact: The Lord of the Rings is what got me to hate fantasy.
Incidentally, I recommend the hobbit movie. Give it a watch on the above link. Narrated by freaking Leonard Nimoy for gods' sake.
Oh yeah, and the King's Quest series of adventure games got me into fantasy hardcore. I played those (and SpaceQuest) like crazy. Not to mention old AD&D games on the PC as old as I was.
Incidentally Flight of Dragons is done in the same art style as the Hobbit films...
I must say Lords of the Rings didnt make me hate Fantasy, i was aware of Tolkien's brand of fantasy so i didnt hate it, however the movies did made me pissed in a way i mean 3 hours only to find Frodo and Sam cuddling and talking about the road ahead... 3 hours more in the second one to see Frodo+Sam+Precious!!! snuggling! and then in the end of the last 3 hours it all ends in Frodo giving Sam the "yeah i raped you in your sleep" look and then they take a boat... which is why i will simply contend myself with Zifnab making fun of Gandalf in the Death Gate Cycle and Mickey McMickey from the spearwielder trilogy as the best and only small folk in fantasy lore

Whenever people talk about the ending of LotR 3, I can only think of the scene in Clerks 2 when Randall goes off about the flicks, saying how that it was 9 hours of walking, "even the ****ing trees walked in that movie" and ending with the absolutely ridiculous line of:
"Randal Graves: That look was so gay. I thought Sam was gonna tell the little hobbits to take a walk so he could saunter over to Frodo and suck his ****ing ****. Now *that* would have been an Academy Award worthy ending.
Hobbit Lover: Hey ******, they're not gay! They're hobbits!
Randal Graves: And then, right after the Sam/Frodo suckfest, right before the credits roll, Sam ****ing flat out bricks in Frodo's mouth. "
And I would have asked in the Brigade, but I didn't want to intrude, so this question is directed at you Mr. Stuff.
I've been become quite the anime nut as of late and would like to know what anime you would personally recommend to someone :).
Go ahead and ask in the brigade, I can assure you we don't mind at all. In fact, quite the opposite, we'd love to see more people stop by. But regardless, here you go:
That being said i wonder who in here remembers an old cartoon movie called the Flight of Dragons? its actually the movie that got me interested in fantasy.
I just picked this up and watched it after hearing several people mention it in Entertainment. Whoa, man, that is some CAMP right there. That is like, old-school style... oldness. Not to spoil things, but...
Defeating the villain by spouting high-school physics and geometry formulas? Really? Well, to each his own, I suppose.
Also seems *laughably* self congratulatory with the perspective of age. Like this:
-Guy thinks to himself "Wouldn't it be awesome if all this stuff I make up in my head were really true? Like, there really were goblins and dragons and stuff?". Most people just shrug it off at this point.
-Guy: "I know! I'll write a book about me being an author, and where then everything I write in my book within a book really ends up being true, and I get to visit the magic world and see goblins and dragons and stuff! Next best thing! I'm a friggin' genius!".
-Audience: *facepalm*
Not that it doesn't have it's merits, however. It was produced by Rankin/Bass (same guys that did the Hobbit, hence the "similar animation" ) and it did have a Japanese animation staff.
How is everybody? This looked like a fun place, so I thought I'd test the waters.
About what seems be the the current subject...
umm...
I love Miyazaki movies? I never seen a real Anime, i suppose. Just the stuff that would be on Toonami, and Full Metal Alchemist in japanese.

Hello, Anon! Welcome to the Coffeehouse. Feel free to follow along. I loooove Miyazaki movies as well. Who wouldn't? My favorite is technically only produced by him--Whisper of the Heart.
Alacar really takes things to heart. He beats himself up when he does something wrong. The situation was small but my reaction was probably blown out of proportion. I was playing the way he taught me, but taking too long so he mocked me. If it was just me and him I would have smacked his shoulder and got over it. He however, mocked me rudely in front of my sister. This triggered me to feel dumb and just fold the game and stop talking.
This reaction was not all his fault. The one before him had a tendancy to make me feel stupid around others. So, don't worry people we are fine.
And FYI i love "the last unicorn" and "whisper of the hear" !!
