People in Buffalo tend to shy away from Starbucks. They either go to Tim Hortons for a quick cup of coffee or go to a locally owned cafe if they want to linger. Starbucks just doesn't have the atmosphere local places do. One local place lets us sit on their patio in the summer and play Magic until they close. Good times
This is because there was another John in my class, and he was very tall. So of course he was Little John. This left me being Robin Hood. Mostly when we're together (wow we've known eachother for a long time) I'm John and he's Johnem.
So, I tried to do one of them big ol' multiquotes, but it didn't work. And I refuse to go back, because somehow, in the two days I was at my friend's house, the thread EXPLODED WITH ACTIVITY.
Anyway, more theatre news that only I care about: [title of show] (yes, that's what it's called) is coming to Broadway July 17th! I'm excited, but unfortunately it just misses the cutoff for this year's Tony awards. It'll probably be the first show of the '08-'09 season. So boo to that.
I've lived in BC! I don't now, though. I live in Winnipeg, as I've mentioned before. (As a side note, BC cold? Hah. Try being somewhere that hits -50 with the windchill during the winter, usually a couple times per year).
Never had a psychotherapist...well, there were a couple months of court-ordered counselling when my parents got divorced, but we'd been living with my dad for a good three years at that point, so it didn't do a heck of a lot for me.
My name is Dorian! I like it, I guess. I don't like "Dor", though, which is kind of the go-to nickname. My sister is Isadora, which I like a lot. My aunt is Kylmeni, having legally changed her name from Kimberly, but she's decided she prefers to be called Kylie now.
Umm...I think I've coVered every subject that went by which I feel qualified to comment on. Go me!
Sounds like Starbucks down here in the U.S. Or I guess just coffe shops in general. It's rediculous.
Agreed. I've never understood the overeliance people have on coffee. Probably because I've never had it, not even once. Mostly for that reason alone. I don't want to be one of those people.

Ditto. The stuff smells horrible, can't imagine it would taste much better... Plus, you know it stunts your growth.
Not a big fan off Coffee. Hot coffee I generally dislike. Mixed with Hot Chocolate it isn't too bad...but always upsets my stomach. Ice coffees and such I really like though.
okay im 22 now so i guess im too old to be a twink time to gain a lot of weight and get a back hair transplant
Happy Birthday.
I have always liked the smell of coffee. When I first tried it, I thought it was pretty okay, but exceptional with dessert or newspaper. I now only have coffee with desert (and cream and sugar and company) or on Sundays with an extended breakfast and a newspaper.
That said I have theorized that caffeine is a major societal evil that causes wars.
I've only have coffee when I need to stay up all night to write a paper... and half the time, it gives me the shakes and makes concentrating really hard. Maybe I should steal some Ritalin I'm more of a tea drinker, specifically steeped tea for those who knows Timmies steeped tea. Kingston's pretty lacking on Timmies, actually. I can only think of four locations off the top of my head.

Hi there, cutie pie! I haven't talked with you in quite a while. What's been up lately?
Nice too.
Yeah. Makes me think a bit of names like Tia that I've always liked. Kind matches with a nickname that my dad has for me.
Not that a lot of people would even make the connection, but I'm not sure you'd want to be associated with a jilted lover who slaughtered her family.
That would be the very reason I would like that name!
While Matt is a nice, friendly name, Matthew has a more melodic sound to it and sort of feels formal but without being stuffy, which I think suits you nicely (excepting the built-in gender association, of course).
Thank you! I'm fond of the 'yew' part of it, plus I have a thing for M names.
BTW, it kind of caught me by surprise to see you use your name so casually in conversation, when a year ago it would have made you feel very vulnerable to do so. It seems you have made some big strides in being comfortable and confident with yourself. *hugs*
Hee, right? I guess I'm less worried about leaking intimate details or mannin' up my image than I used to be. I think I'm embracing the genderqueer aspect of me. I get a kick out of mixing gender related cues, being unexpected and altering perceptions of me. It's that same autonomy thing, you could say.
It's been a very rough road these past months, but I think some things have evolved in the meantime. It's a little hard to explain because I'm still not entirely sure where I'm at but I do feel I'm going in the right direction.
When it comes to names, there is one name other than the variations I've mentioned that I like and am considering adopting when the time comes: Leigh. I like the sound and the spelling, and I have a bit of an attachment to it. Also it's similar to my dad's middle name, Lee, so it still feels in-family so to speak.

I think I would make a similar assessment. People tend to assert their independence in ways that are perhaps unusual or irrational as a reaction to other people curbing their autonomy. It's something that you have to do in order to make the transition between child, or otherwise dependent, and adult.
I know I do it, I have a very idiosyncratic personality, and much of this is apparently that I really am just weird, but also I feel a need to be expressive an autonomous because I have such a background of being complacent and diffused into my surroundings.
Thank you for the story, by the way.

Regardless, I like the name Matthew
I keep being surprised by people saying 'I'm trans' or 'I'm a girl' So, who's who and what? It sounds very crude (in fact, it is...) but I'd just like some info on who I'm talking too.
My name is Veronica Mars. I am a faerie creature.

I admit that I'm a toucher too. But I only do it with people who have completely accepted me and are ok with it.
I had never thought I'd be very comfortable with physical contact, but now I feel like it's something very important to me. I used to find it sort of intimidating for a number of reasons, but I've gone through a lot of emotional changes.
Heh, there are a few guys I work with who are very touchy and it tickles me. Sometimes literally. One of my coworkers is super huggable and happens to have given me more hugs in the past year than anyone else I know. I welcome it, of course, especially from him.

I love that and will now start using it.

I wish I had drunk coffee when I was younger for that reason.
Never been much of a drinker, but I do love the way it smells. The taste is fine to me but I usually find coffee to be too strong.
All that I yearn for, for richer or poorer, is to be the light that you see. All that I yearn for, for richer or poorer, is to be the peace that you feel. All that I yearn for, for richer or poorer, is to fill your heart on my own.
But the rainbow is an image of hope for many reasons, as it is a brilliant sight coming out of oftimes dismal weather.
So, when is someone going to start back up the "Hot Guy of the Week" thingie? I've got a potential canidate...
Haha "Hot Guy of the Week" should just be renamed to "Hot guy of the whenever someone feels like it". Because you know we're always lookin for new hot guys

Wait! I was about to post a Hot Guy. So I'm doing so. RIGHTNOW.
Introducing...Broadway's Cheyenne Jackson. He's only just starting to be a bonafide leading man, currently starring in the '80s parody musical Xanadu. He's simply gorgeous, though, with really great eyes, and his incredibly strong, broad...vocal range.
And, he's an out gay man! Which is worth bonus points.
The third image I had was too large to be attached, so go here to see it.
He's also featured in this month's edition of Advocate, so everyone should check that out.
But more importantly, here he is covering the Elephant Love Medley from Moulin Rouge! (one of my favourite movies of all time) ... but he's performing it with Jai Rodriguez! Very awesome performance, and very hot kiss at the end. http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=EjELSWSt12w

I'm not sure how I forgot the Advocate interview...I read it, like, yesterday. Literally.
If we're showing video clips, though, here's the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Xanadu Medley: http://youtube.com/watch?v=9t1hqnJxkLc
azn guy yeah anyone can post a hot guy at any time. Howler feel free to go ahead and post your hottie too.
Watched Jai Alexander and Cheyenne and YouTube Surfed to watch cheyenne in some more like Xanadu and some Elvis thing. Then somehow got to Kristen Chenoweth's final performance of Popular. Pretty funny. Sucks that it was all the way in New York.
Which is why I'm waiting; I'm spreading out the goodness. I also want to spend some quality time finding some really good pics of him, but I've got to finish the homework I've put off all week.
Aiight but don't build it up too much! Can't handle all that intensity and pressure. Eventually something's going to explode. And as gays we have a mandatory obligation to make SURE that all explosions happen when they're supposed to and not before. Better to be the cause of an explosion than wondering what happened afterward. (Hope that doesn't set off any FBI terrorist spider search engines! I promise I'm hiding something in my bum officers! Check if you'd like. Be as thorough as possible....)
...erm Hey Dorian did you see Kristen Chenoweth's last performance of Popular? Since I've only seen that one I don't know if the majority of it was ad-libbed. Watch it on youtube and let me know.

Well I'm not Dorian but I think I can answer this question. I've never seen a performance in real life, but someone recorded it and I saw that performance... there's not too much improv-ing going on. The "I wrote a book: How to Get Popular" segment is new. Everything else is pretty standard, if not extended for extra effect.

Wicked is one of only 3 musical I really like. I went to see it for the Broadway on Tour thing with, and it was incredible. I can't remember who played Galinda when I saw it (it wasn't Kristen), but I think I liked the girl I saw a bit better.
Yeah, that whole book think was new, but I don't neccessarily think it was improvised. They did the hair-tossing thing a bit different, but that's no big deal.

Naw, twinks can be 22. As long as they have the right physique, a guy of pretty much any age up until middle age can be classified as a twink.
