Level 3 Magic Judge
Do you know any judges who always impress you with their work ethic, knowledge, or attitude? Nominate them to be the next Judge of the Week!
Honestly, Mamelon, I don't think you have as much reason to despair as you think you do. I realize that you may have a heightened focus on physical appearance and that's no small part in your own harsh judgment of your own features, but in my estimation things aren't nearly as bad as you may think. Not even close. Perhaps you had me prepared for the worst by your own words, but from that one picture, I can say that your appearance is not at all as you said. As Sakura said, you look better than many bio-women, so don't be so hard on yourself.
And keep in mind that I'm not the type to be disingenuous to make someone feel better about themselves. You noted your fear of that earlier, so I feel I should point out that I've never really been that way, especially when there's nothing in it for me. Not about to start now.
Honestly, Mams, if you had posted those pictures at some other time and said something like, "This is my friend Jenny", I wouldn't have given it a second thought. Can you ever pass? I sure think so. I think your more masculine features jump out at you because you're looking for them.

The Golden Rule of forums: If you're going to be rude, be right. If you might be wrong, be polite.
I think your more masculine features jump out at you because you're looking for them.
I think this is true of everyone. Flaws are most obvious to those who are looking for them. And generally, we're the ones most focused on our faults, even if we're the only ones seeing them or the only ones to consider them faults at all.
As a boy or a girl? As a boy, I have average looks. But as a girl? Not even that good.
Well, either way, I suppose "you look average" is the best I can reasonably expect. Probably don't seem so sexy now, heh.
You look fine as a girl Mams. You know what? It looks like you have some Eastern European blood in you. There are alot of Czech, Austrian, and Hungarian women in my area and many have the same overall look as you. Why don't you feel you look good as a girl? Without enormous expense(both fiscally and emotionally) your looks aren't something you can change. Dwelling on something you can't change isn't healthy. So stop it!
For me sexy has nothing to do with looks. Looks are definitely sensual but aren't a factor in romance and certainly not sex. Sakura is one of the sexist people I know and I thought so before I knew what she looked like. If knowing what someone looks like dampens your ardeur then you probably weren't so hot for them in the first place. Having an active fantasy life is good but if you let it cloud the way you see people then you're in for a life of constant disappointment.
If you look for a problem long enough you'll find one. Analyzing and editorializing everything people say about you is insulting to people who are genuine and care about you. Sometimes you should just say thanks and smile and not try to pick things apart. Please?

At first glance, you looked EXACTLY like someone I go to school with. I think it's the hair/expression.. Needless to say, I did a double-take and went "WAAAITTT A MINUTE!"
Oh, what the hell. Everyone else is doing it...let's see what I can find for you guys.
I don't have much in the way of close-up pictures, but my friend Zak took this one of me a few weeks ago. I must say, it's one of the few pictures I like of myself.
Here's one of Ryan and I...this has to be my favorite picture ever.
No, his face isn't frozen that way. But that's pretty much how we are. He's the weirdo, and I'm the semi-normal one. I suppose we should keep in mind that he had a few bottles of beer by that point, as well...
Anyway. That's me (and the weirdo). Take it or leave it, up to you.

You know, everyone tells me that. Most of the time I just feel like they're really searching for something nice to say. But I hear it a lot.
That's one thing I don't have to worry about, which only leaves everything else.
Okay, so I'm not hideously ugly. But can I ever pass? That's the more disconcerting question, and much harder to answer.
I get comments on my eyes a lot, too, and tend to think the same thing.
I pointed it out because in the picture they really jumped out at me, genuinely. I also thought you had a cute sarcastic expression but didn't think to mention it.
What I did think, concerning passing, is that you seemed plenty feminine to me to be worried about it. I can think of a couple girls I knew in high school that looked a bit like you and I agree with others that you could show that picture out of context to someone and they would think it was a woman. I can see some of the features that you have pointed out which could be considered masculine but don't necessarily make for an unattractive or unconvincing woman; women have masculine features, too. And like Mikey said, when we look for things that are wrong with ourselves, we tend to find something. In the end it's a lot less prominent, if noticed at all, by other people (who in turn are absorbed with their own insecurities, like as not).
Thank you all for helping me feel better about this, and you've given me quite a bit to think about. I will comment more later, but for now I must wish you all goodnight.
By the way, spiderboy4 and Gigaguess, you are both very cute.

All that I yearn for, for richer or poorer, is to be the light that you see. All that I yearn for, for richer or poorer, is to be the peace that you feel. All that I yearn for, for richer or poorer, is to fill your heart on my own.
But the rainbow is an image of hope for many reasons, as it is a brilliant sight coming out of oftimes dismal weather.
Gosh. I feel bad becuase I have no idea how to put my face online. You all look nothing like I pictured you, though.

That Bea Arthur pic is amazing, and I'm going to reiterate how cool it is to see y'all folk.
Oh, so Mamelon, at first glance you really reminded me of someone, and I couldn't think who at all. But I've figured it out! You look so much like Danielle Ferland circa 1988, when she was in Into the Woods. Part of it is your hair (which, by the way, I love), but your facial features are also very similar to hers. This is the picture I found that gives the best resemblance, but be warned: it's very tiny.

You are prettier than you give credit for. I know bio women who have less to work with than you. Some of your features i would kill for.
