Psi, Wonderworks is a place where you go in and they have interactive exhibits, it's kind of like a space center, but it's more hands on with more wide open options of stuff to do. Like you could experience a 5.3 earth quake, A hurricane with winds up to 65mph, you could put your hand in water that was as cold as the water in the ocean when the Titanic sunk, and various other things. My favorite part was the roller costar simulator.
It's just a lot of random exibits. And the building is upside down which is amusing.
That sounds pretty cool. I vaguely remember going to something like that when I was in the 2nd grade (geeze that was a long time ago.... and it was before AI corrupted me) but I can't remember what it was about but I remember it being hands on....hmmm.
(geeze that was a long time ago.... and it was before AI corrupted me) but I can't remember what it was about but I remember it being hands on....hmmm.
I have no idea what you're talking about. The only hands-on experience we've had was... * AsianInvasion takes his hands out of Psi's pants.
There's a science museum in Lansing called Impression 5, which is a pretty cool interactive place, but not nearly on the scale of Wonderworks. I haven't been there in ages, though. When I was in elementary school, we had a sleepover in the building once. There's a huge model of a human face with the mouth open which freaked the hell out of us that night. We told each other that it would eat us in our sleep.
They also used to have a computer lab there with Warcraft II on every machine.
We have something like Wonderworks back home, called COSI, but it's science related. I mean so was Wonderworks but COSI is bigger and I think has more stuff, but I haven't been to COSI in so many years.
I too once in elementary school had a sleep over in our COSI building but that was when it was the old building they created a new one. No creepy stuff to eat us in the middle of the night though.

TOP OF POST EDIT FOR CLAN CONTEST
Well, I think I have seen the light when it comes to Nyxathid, and here's why: The round asks us which card is going to ruin our day and be the least fun, the "fun killer." Well, Progenitus is certainly more powerful when its on the board, you really can't complain to losing to it. It's a big fun creature, whereas nyxathid means you are about to get the beatdown from perhaps the most unfun mechanic of all, discard.
I also see the point of dark confidant being powerful but it's not unfun, even when it was dominating, it still had a very fair and fun feel to it. Right now our vote is still leaning Progenitus, and the round is wrapped up pretty much with that card being eliminated. But I'm just going to leave discussion open for a little bit more to see how you all feel about Nyxathid and the very unfun state of a handless beatdown.
Even the phrase "Too Long; Didn't Read" is too long. But rants are nontheless welcome, just expect our interest in them to be as random as your tendency to start them.
Keep it High Mage. Don't get me wrong, I love the language, but magus is both too hard for noobs to pronounce, and unnecessarily syllable-heavy.
Agree'd. And I would like to point out that we are all technically Mages of the Council, from the first threads of the Izzet. So rank inflation is not only unecessary, it has already been done.
I like this kid. He is philosophical, he rants longer than even I'm willing to read, and he has the coconuts to interject his completely inexperienced opinion on clan matters. :cookie:s for you.

Quote from Mark Rosewater »
While on the surface red's goals might seem similar to black's there are some important differences. Black's desire to do what it wants is driven by a quest for power. Black doesn't care if others are restricted. As long as it as an individual can do what it wants, black is happy. Red, on the other hand, believes that everyone has the right to do what it wants. Red will act to break down barriers that don't necessarily affect it personally merely because it doesn't like their existence.
In addition, while black is very solitary, red can be very social. Red follows its emotions. These emotions include love, lust, camaraderie, and friendship. Red cares about others. At least the ones to which it has some emotional ties. And red will go to great lengths to help or protect its loved ones.
If we go by this definition of red, I would like to point to you a likely example:
Supposed I care about AsianInvasion and I was truly, emotionally, and empathetically touched by his story about his mother and father and the death of that professor.
A red/blue mage, would, as you say, say "something true and offensive but not realizing that its offensive."
But if upon realizing (a blue trait) that he/she may or had hurt the feelings of someone he/she cared about, particularly a fellow clan member, then he/she would feel guilty and/or sad (a red trait). To me, I do not see that there is anything green in what I did so far as merely expressing one of my many sporadic sarcastic emotions (I only half-empathized for AsianInvasion as I don't even know him well enough).
Crying is red, but you didn't cry, you weren't emotional - you were sorry: G. The fact that AI is a relative stranger shows you have some G ethical tendencies because you care what a stranger thinks. And you further make my point by referencing Maro's article. The green-tinted side of red is concerned for others and the black-tinted side is selfish. You were acting from the green-tinted side of red, making your action RGU.

There's a huge difference between being a green-tinted red and just green or red/green. At times, there will be several cases in which a red character can express certain green abilities but not necessarily need any splash of green on it. For example, something like trample.
Though apologizing may be a necessary condition for being green, it isn't the case that it is a sufficient condition for being green. A man who is inherently OCD about something is not a sufficient trait that would make him White inasmuch as he is black for concerning his survival over others if he were to go to a grocery store and buy food for himself. Simply saying "sorry" for something that you feel bad about is merely a social act that is bred by society.
Furthermore, I didn't even apologize. I just said that "I feel bad."
I could not have necessarily felt empathetic, but rather just feel like crap, like when one would read something like Kite Runner or watch Titanic and feel like crap because the movie or book sucked or that it just made them feel bad about themselves as a human being. And that's what I call half-empathy. You don't sympathize the person necessarily. You just feel bad or feel like crap (because of that person--edit).
Anyways Wamyc, I'll let you keep track of who voted for what card. It doesn't seem to matter as Progenitus is getting the boot either way.
On the whole what color Ilvaldi is: Seriously, no one else here has ever apologized for something? I call ********. But it's very unlikely for any human to be purely one or two colors. There's going to be a little bit of all five in you.

Yeah, there's really no problem with expressing characteristics ofall of the five colors. I think we were just discussing what colors that particular series of actions was.
Are we gonna have a purge along with promotions? Anyone else in danger besides Niv?

Okay, that makes sense. If I apologized to someone that I don't know very well, then that sure as hell would've been green.
I'd love to stay and chat DF, but I have to run now. I'm of to visit the BF.
Where are you stuck at, anyway? It doesn't sound like you're stuck at home... besides i you're at home you should be able to find something to amuse you.
Hey, I'm back. The next few weeks should be very much slower, so I can work on catching up. However, I don't have the time to read all the things I missed (at least not right now), so I'm going to just blindly jump on in.
But, although it pains me to say it, I do think Niv deserves a demotion (he's a High Mage, right?). He's posted, what, 4 times in 4 months?
...that is what we were talking about at some point, right? I read it pretty quickly.
Anyway, night, y'all. I need to get the sleep I didn't get for the last two weeks.

Wrong. Cold = Blue. Calculating = Blue. Deceit = Black (and blue shares a bit). Passion (of any sort, but usually restricted to anger) = Red. Impartiality-to-the-emotions-of-others-because-we're-too-busy-working-our-work = Izzet.

Exactly. Feeling bad is a white tendency, and sometimes green, red may have passion, but certain emotions are left out, as red's philosophy is... well... aggressive/indifferent. I'll admit, I've found myself harming others unnecessarilly, but ultimately, I have no regrets. One cannot live with regrets... Bah. I'm trying to turn this into one of my martial philosophies, and all that needs be said is "kill, don't care (as I've got other ♥♥♥♥ going on)."
You also need to take into account that not only is the local philosophy blue-red, but it's Izzet. The Izzet aren't like any other blue-red pair I've ever come across (except in the liking of spells). Strictly Izzet.

Also (preparing to make some enemies), Guitar Hero (and RockBand, by extension... and any and all Wii-things) are asinine. Why not just do these things for real? I tried to "actually" box this weeble-opponent (he wobbled, but didn't fall down), but my actions were apparantly too fast for the remote to analyze.
