Hello ARD sorry i have not posted in here for a few days I have been pretty busy with alot of things lately but I am glad i am done with clinicals at the time being. So how is my former clan doing? I am doing good here i have not come up with any new rogue decks as of late but i will keep you guys posted if i do. Cya guys later.
Finals > me. I'm actually writing a paper now due 3 and a half hours from now.
I did, however, just make a super-cheap version of that ignite memories combo deck. It's fun. And it wins turn 4 ~ 5. And the extra cards for it were 1 tix.
yay cheap MTGO playing. It has the best win percentage against RW control ever, too. Invoke into > Wrath, firemane angel, faith's fetters, wrath again, firemane again, fetters again. Take 24. Laugh maniacally.
I don't think I need to post a list, it's ignite, empty the warrens, random red accel, chromatic star, and random blue card draw [telling time, Compulsive Research, ... Counsel of the Soratami]. Remand would probably be smart too. I lost mine though.
I'm playing Guild Wars a bit more competitively now, too, though I got into my guild late for the playoffs. So we're not in that. Blegh.
I'm actually running Shock instead of Rift Bolt, since I can't find any with Think Twice, and it's not impacting the deck at all.
I have to add, though, that maybe a B splash would be helpful, since I lost the first 3 games I played after igniting for 17 [6 storm count]. Heh.
*edit*
I have found out oreos make me feel funny. WEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111111111111111!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so great at randomly forgetting I belong to a clan! w007!
Anyway, I am planning on taking a 'rogue' deck to some extended PTQs. It is a combination of two netdecks in an interesting fashion that I have not seen done before. My friend and I were brainstorming in a way to improve one deck, and almost as a joke a particular card in another deck was suggested, and I built the joke deck at like 11 at night, thinking it would suck.
I went to playtest the next day... 2-1 vs. tooth, 2-0 vs. storm, like 8-2 vs. aggro rock. I was like 'hmm, this merits more testing' So I am doing just that.
Thread, stop dying.
Anyways ... I just got my first warning, for not using card tags in the rules forum, something I forget to do frequently.
Weee.
I see a 24-hour ban very far in my future.
Anyways ... I am home for break! And I'm gonna go see my friend tomorrow. Or he's gonna come here. One of those. It'll be better than not doing things.
Someone, nice. Once you finish the first PTQ's, it'd be cool if you could post a list here, or sommat.

So its almost winter break for me... planning on going to Reno... the new clan contest is up... basically we have to have a sealed deck out of out chosen pool of cards and I wanted it so that after we make our decks, we play other clans... and I sent PMs to out mods to see if we can change it back. Deck building contests are getting stale...
here are our cards:
Pool 3: RBS ARD the Brits BLAME R&D the FFFB Project Mayhem
I'll give my opinion after posting this so I can take a good look at it after organization.
EDIT: Ok, after a brief look, it looks like our blue is too shallow, and our green might not be the best for a main color, but maybe as a splash for tromp the domains based on how our final deck looks. In contrast, our red looks good, as does our white, and black looks reasonable if for some reason RWx has a bad curve or something. Just as a super super rough first draft:
Hey all, been a while since I've posted and I think the thread could probably use some discussion, so i figure we might as well get started on the latest clan contest. It's building a sealed deck out of a given pool. Here is the pool that was assigned to us:
I'll give my opinion after posting this so I can take a good look at it after organization.
oooh this is great Bwee, thx...
Seeing the card pool now, wow... not alot of creature destruction or bounce or anything... but anyways, I would play black definately with Assassinate and Premature Burial and Stragnling Soot...
And then possibly green for its creatures...

Well, I didn't finish the edit until after dinner, so I didn't see your post. Sounds like we have very different ideas.
I dunno if black is a definite, assassinate and premature burial aren't as good as they look (I mean, removal is removal, but they aren't super spectacular), and while soot is excellent, the rest of black isn't super exciting. And green doesn't even have very many quality creatures.
Perhaps black could be an alternative splash to green for the soot in the RW deck? I dunno.
Hello my former clan how are you all doing? Happy holidays by the way. I made a UB aggro deck for legacy that i will post this friday and i will explain the card choices i havent really tested it that much though. Well see you all soon. I hope you all will have a good week.
Meh, my apologies for being so quiet, eventhough i just joined. Im writing my end thesis and all and will be done with this study for the most in januari.... so it's a few straws to go until im all done :).
Also eagerly awaiting your deck Kevin, hoping for some innovating stuff here.
I myself am cooking up a control/aggro deck with a wizards tribal theme. Don't be fooled though, it can be stupidly strong. It will be modelled after a T1 deck an acquintance of mine played at a tourney and obliterated the field with. Stay tuned

That looks decent, and I defer to you guys because I utterly suck at making Limited decks. Seriously. That's why I kept my mouth shut about it, because I am literally no good at it.
And yes, no incantatrix for you. Or anyone. That class makes puppies cry. Mostly because they are the former Big Bads who have been Baleful Polymorphed into said puppies. By you. Because you're an incantatrix.

As for your list, I think it could use some Magnivore, and cut the blue...you don't need it.
* Avatar of Kokusho always advocates the cutting of blue
Okay, I used to use maggie, but I kept getting 'crypted, so he came out. I believe the draw is needed, and is easy to support (see acid moss). It really helps when my opponent isn't playing white or blue and I've got Cryoclasms sitting in my hand.
I'm almost 16, have been playing (Technically) since scourge. I played completely casually with a friend of mine who played since revised. I started playing FNM t2 around pre saviors. Decks I wanted to build were Grim reminder, and 'slaver lock. Post ravnica I can't remember much of what I played in that era. I've never net decked because 1, I hated the idea of it and 2, I couldn't ever afford the cards for tier 1 decks. there. My magical history.
Well you get my vote since you followed the basic requirements... just be active here alright?
Anyways, looked at the deck, and what you need are some more mana accel so you can play your ld faster... Birds of Paradise or even Llanowar Elves is good and also Gemstone Sliver is a great mana producer.
But these are creatures... and if you still want to include wildfire... how about some artifact mana sources?
Also, do you really need Cycroclasm?
and you are missing:

BweeBwee: Alright I trust in your better judgement. We will use that decklist after some testing... but who do we play against?
Wildfire will have to stay, as it is very hard to find an adequate replacement. Signets might be a good idea, I will have to try them out. Cryoclasm is required. Creeping mold is in the sideboard, which I have yet to post due to it's erratic nature. Thanks for your suggestions, and I will try this at FNM tomorrow. I will try to be as active as possible, I am subscribed to this thread.
There. Llanowar elves is for countermagic'y control decks like triscut torn and the such. I need the LD before they can start countering it. Gaea's blessings are for a mill deck in my area. Steamcore is for Soltari priest. yes, it's that bad when I'm playing boros deck wins and I can't kill it with anything else. Paladin or Tiv I can just block with a token. But the priest ****ing wrecks me every time he resolves it on turn 2 before I can destroy those precious lands of his. So. That's the current, maybe best I daresay version of the deck. Have at YOU!
I think you need some one mana accelerants maindeck, either elves, birds, or utopia sprawl. Also, I don't know how great of a win condition the wurmcallings are, and sift is probably better off as compulsive research. For another win condtion, bogardan hellkite could be nice once you add in accelerants, since 8 mana shouldn't be too difficult with the acid mosses and the accelerants. Or maybe you could use a stormbind - life from the loam engine and up your wildfire count and maybe play ghost quarters and quicksands. Quicksand also happens to be nice vs soltari priest.
Utopia sprawl would also lose to it because I never have enough lands to keep more than one post 'Fire. It's really more built around some early LD, then an effective "fire should neuter them.
Sift is better for me than compulsive, merely because that requires me to discard two cards. I am trying to refill my hand with sift, then discard a Cryoclasm against those few decks that don't contain plains or islands.
Thanks for the 'Loam Quicksand things. I might just try that, although I don't really have all that much room in the deck. Stormbind could make me lose LD spells rather than lands, and I can't get those back. Hellkite is red, and there are Paladins/Priests/Tividars running rampant at my shop. So can't go with that. But all quicksand would do is stop priest from attacking. It won't actually kill it until they attack or put Griffin guide on it then attack. Thanks though.
I'm not quite getting your explanation around why you shouldn't play utopia sprawl. If you say you can usually only keep one land after playing wildfire, wouldn't it be good to have that one land make two mana?
I guess that's a reasonable point on playing sift over research. As for room in your deck, stormbind would probably just replace the wurmcallings as a win condition, quicksand would just take up land slots, and life from the loam, well, 20 land destruction cards is really QUITE a lot, more than likely more than you need, I hardly think it would hurt to drop down to like, 17 to fit in 3 lftl.
I got Bouncelands, that's why I don't like utopia sprawl. Plus a enchantment destruction of any kind would slow me down, something I don't like my opponent being able to do. What if they go first and Disenchant it or naturalize? That slows me down AND it's like they played an LD spell on me. Or Someone Boomerangs my land with that on it. Tempo loss like that is not acceptable for this kind of deck. (Although boomerang would also hurt said bounclands.) But I usually don't keep a hand containing a bouncland and 1 other land. I don't really like the stormbind/Life engine as I believe Wurmcalling is more reliable. Plus I don't need a 'Twister after playing widfire with 'calling in hand.
I'm SBing elves because I can't afford birds. I could invest time in trying to get them, but by the time I do they might have gone out of standard. Is magic workstaion free to download somewhere? Cause I don't have it.
