I probably would like your pet too. By the way is anyone interested in seeing my slow-molasses boros deck with timespiral cards to revised?
Ill probably post it later tonight if anyone is interested.
Mamelon, why is it that I look forwards to your posts here? Odd thing. Hm...
On another note, it's time for biology. This should be... Interesting, really. Sounds like it'll be a fun class. LONG, though, and I have to be up before 9 am tomorrow to get there on time. Darnit.
The Colosseum has a Western-style WP now: Gutterworld. Check it out.
Also, the new EW world project will be set up within a few days. We're taking our time to make it awesome. Be ready for it, anyone here that actually likes the Colo (me, no one else).
@Nai: Probably because mamelon is really cool and she loves socializing with a huge variety of people! I took biology human anatomy and phsyiology before in college and i had to study practically 15+ hours per week because the tests were mostly fill in the blank type of questions. Plus each chapter in the text book was at least 45 pages long if not more. Several of the chapters even were as much as 80 pages for one chapter. I got a B in both of those classes though. I didn't feel like studying more to get the As.:)
Good afternoon, everyone. It's raining over here in California, so I don't have to run today!! :dances: And to make it even better, IT'S THE WEEKEND!!!!! What is everyone planning to do this weekend? I'm either going bowling or to a movie tomorrow night, but tonight, I'll probably just chill at home.
@Ala: Thanks. I was hoping you would appreciate it. And it would suck playing against that person. And by "suck", I mean it would be freakin' awesome!
Oh, and I am also working on my first set. It was going really slow for a while there, but in the past week or so my friend and I have made a ton of cards and we are getting close to being done with the first set. Although I still don't even know what it is called yet, unfortunately.
@shadowfox: I can play mws probably sometime tommorrow and possibly later tonight if you want to play we can play anything except vintage. Thanks shadowfox and i am glad your doing well too!
@strongbad: good afternoon strongbad! Yeah I dont really like rain it makes me tired and when there is rain it seems to deppress me somewhat which i dont know why. Well see you soon strongbad and best wishes to you!
I officially have double digit posts in the coffeehouse and I post all of them in one day which is today of a total of 10! Yay! Do i get a cookie for that?
Well I will see you all soon and i will post in here later tonight. Take care and god bless everyone! *hugs and blows kisses to everyone*
@Pets: Because my parents are soulless I don't have a cat or dog. I wish I did, though. Once I move out I'll definitely get one, more than likely a dog. What kind I don't know, since there are so many good ones.
@Lack of Mamelon in debate: Well, with the return of MTGS's prime conservative, it's gotten a lot more interesting, so you might want to check it out. Unlike some other users that share his political views (i.e. Green Arrow), he's actually a likable guy. Also I got another infraction there, so I'm another endless source of entertainment there.
@Mamelon's posts: I personally enjoy them because they're well thought-out and filled with content. She always brings something new to the table with every post.
I got back from a Hillel dinner and I'm ready to party. Hopefully there's stuff going on.
Also, I was wondering if anybody here who is a great deckbuilder (doesn't have to be, though) could help me find a unique strategy to use in my Mono G deck. Too many people seem to be using mono g (doesn't need to be aggro), and I want to reer off from the green burniness that Planar Chaos caused. If you could, could you contact me on my AOL (sorry i don't have msn or anything else)

I just feel really dumb and slow lately. Anyone notice I haven't been to Debate in, like, over a month? That's why I haven't.
The good news is you definitely aren't dumb. Just hope you snap out of that funky feeling you've been in lately.
As for the dog, :laugh2:. I don't have any pets of my own since I live in an apartment that doesn't allow any but I enjoy little stories like that. I think that's also why I browse Cute Overload.
@strongbad: Good luck with finishing that first set! The first one's definitely the hardest to crank out...
As for me, tonight's been a calendar day for sure. Plan some stuff out et cetera... Also just gonna enjoy the basketball game on ESPN until the X-Games come on. Love the X-Games!
Started off the weekend right...got a 6pack of Pete's Strawberry Blonde Ale and a bag of portabellas to roast in the oven with garlic-pignoli pesto and cheese on top...and now for a nap.
Because my roommates and I are gonna have a hueg party tomorrow. I wanna reset my timeclock to stay up and partay.
as for Mono Green, if you're willing to ditch type 2, go build Stupid Green. *digs in shoebox full of scribbled decklists*
indeed. That's great, Yukora! I'm really happy for you. Now you can kiss your girlfriend again!
@CA: Thanks. Yeah, it's been tough, but we're almost done with all the card designing, and then we just have to stick all the flavor in. Luckily, we already have a storyline-type thing, so it shouldn't take too long.
That's great to hear, Yukora. Maybe now you can start feeling rested once again.
I'm still up here at WSU. This will be my second night here. We just ordered pizza/wings/etc from a place that delivers, and right now the guys are playing NBA 2k something or other on the big screen. I'm just hanging out, chatting with an old friend about Planar Chaos, and generally having a good time. I'll be going home sometime in the afternoon tomorrow, since my friend was gracious enough to let me borrow his room for another night.
The draft went well. We had seven people turn up, and we all had fun. I ended up getting no foil rares and no Damnations, but I did get another (!) Akroma, Angel of Fury. That makes 3 for me now. Other notables included a Torchling, Groundbreaker, and Extirpate.
See you all around later this weekend. Right now I'm enjoying myself too much to really keep up with the site. I'll probably stop back in sometime on Sunday.
Congrats Yukora! I'm glad to hear you're getting better. Enjoy your girlfriend, hmm?
Well, I think Biology is going to be a bit boring. Considering I've had what seems like an exact replica of it in middle school in high school. Means I'll probably be getting good grades, but we're talking 3 hours of lecture and 2 hours of lab every Friday evening and Saturday morning. I might skip a few lectures (since they aren't required attendance, lab is) on things I know too well. Like the Scientific Method.
Yay I am very happy for you yukora! I like crimson avatars response to it though. I will be on aol messenger if anyone wants to speak to me. see you all soon
Yes, I do have a pet like that--my cute little Siamese kitty named Penny. She LOVES little white socks and loves to play/cuddle with me and my mom. She also likes to climb up the back of my chair while I'm on the computer
ZOMG that is like soooooooooo cyuuuute! [/sarcasm]

Hey, this is Gato, who I guess some at this site may remember but most undoubtely don't. I'm a long time staff member/administrator over at News, and besides that an involved member of the forum-based roleplaying community that has grown between News, Salvation, and a few other forums over the last few years.
I just wanted to say that, if anyone had ever been interested in trying out the Colosseum here or is simply looking for something different to do, I have a new World Project opening up. While this isn't exactly my first WP (I am one of the creators and leaders behind the Epic World the first and longest-running World Project in the community), this is the first one I've opened here on Salvation and I think it's pretty good. The forum is called Gutter World, and even if you don't think you're that interested in roleplaying you might as well check out the Guide; it's not a bad read in my opinion.
Ack! Dance smiley overload! I'm not going to copy Yukora's quote for that reason, but it's great for you to be better.
@Otaku: Can't say I'm good at making decks, but you might want to consider Thallids and Doubling Season, along with Sporesower Thallid. The new card-drawing thallid makes it a lot more viable. If you don't like Doubling Season, splash blue for Paradox Haze and Coiling Oracle.
@Gato: I don't know if advertising is allowed here, but I'm sure it's good in small doses. Anyway, I'm not a Colosseum guy.
@Mr. Stuff: Good to hear that you're having a good time at WSU. Also, I think Extirpate is better than Damnation, as it will surely see eternal format play long after it's gone from Type 2. Hang on to that little number.
So I went to the lacrosse house for a party. It wasn't a bad time. I just wish that people would be honest with me when they introduce me to people. They keep saying "This girl's my sister" or "cousin" or "girlfriend" when I know that they're not (except for the girlfriend part, since here at Muhlenberg every girl belongs to someone else who's not me). I really feel like people are intentionally being dishonest with me and it's annoying me.
By the way mamelon how do you like my sig add-ons?
Nice touch! And I see you listed your favorite cards. I was expecting Might of Oaks for green. Also, I like the Legacy Harbor link. You should consider having your custom be "Yoda" for a while.

Eh? Mamelon, were you pining for me?
Are you offering?
Aww.. yeah it is. Now I HAVE to post a picture or two of Penny. She is a BEAUTIFUL Siamese with big blue eyes--but she's real mischevious. You'd like her
Probably so; I like Siamese cats. I would probably be much more comfortable with dogs if not for their mischieviousness. Shadow, my mother's dog, is very ornery; he's always toppling me over, tickling my hand with his nose, or trying to lick my off-limits area. What a goober. He only likes me because I give him cheese (LOL). This dog freaking loves cheese.

Mamelon, why is it that I look forwards to your posts here? Odd thing. Hm...
It's a pretty singular and unusual question, because I don't think I could ever answer it, but it'd be deceitful for me to say I didn't feel something to see you've asked it. Gratitude, warmth, humility perhaps.
If I may say so, you have always instilled in me this sensation of a person who is vey tender within himself; who forms strong attachments but doesn't always show it or even realize it; someone who is often at least a little bit sad, even when he's happy. I don't know why I have this impression of you; maybe it is all the wistful effects about your avatar and signature, and your charmingly gloomy avatar. Partly because of this, I have always liked you, even though it might be incorrect. I remember being happy when you joined the Coffeehouse and not feeling sure why. I can imagine you feeling affections towards certain posters and beng excited to see their name or avatar appear - and I know the feeling because I do the same.

This may seem like an odd observation to make, but you have an unusually good manner of speaking for such a young dumpling. Not so much that you use "big words," per se. But your vocabulary, altogether, is quite lively and positive.

Thank you for that; I'm not sure what it really even is. I think I feel foggy upstairs because I have a number of things on my mind lately that are of a strongly emotional nature, and have experienced a sensation of being . . . displaced, if you understand my meaning.

Yeah, I get that. For me, parts of biology were fascinating and even aesthetic; other parts made my eyes go crossed. I think if I had to go over the same stuff again that I did all through middle and high school, I'd start seeing double.
Not that I don't already kind of do. (What a sentence; I'm not changing it.)
@KingGato: You made a mistake coming in here with a Hamtaro avatar. Now I shall be hard pressed to stop hugging you.
All that I yearn for, for richer or poorer, is to be the light that you see. All that I yearn for, for richer or poorer, is to be the peace that you feel. All that I yearn for, for richer or poorer, is to fill your heart on my own.
But the rainbow is an image of hope for many reasons, as it is a brilliant sight coming out of oftimes dismal weather.
My avatar? Well, it's not exactly gloomy... Let me go find the picture for you...
Not really gloomy. But heh. I'm not even sure, being me, how right you are about any of that. Hmm. I'm happy to know you were happy to see me joining. Happily.
And yes, Variety is Melange. That is correct.
Advertising: He's advertising our own site, like I do for the Colo. Nothing wrong with that, methinks.
Biology: Eh... It's just that I've been through a class like this about four times. (three times during high school, since I kept going missing I only officially completed it the final time. An A, which was nice, even though I was gone half the classes.) So yeah. I don't need any more lectures on the scientific method.
Ill probably post it later tonight if anyone is interested.

They keep saying "This girl's my sister" or "cousin" or "girlfriend" when I know that they're not (except for the girlfriend part, since here at Muhlenberg every girl belongs to someone else who's not me). I really feel like people are intentionally being dishonest with me and it's annoying me.
Nice touch! And I see you listed your favorite cards. I was expecting Might of Oaks for green. Also, I like the Legacy Harbor link. You should consider having your custom be "Yoda" for a while.
Are you offering?
Probably so; I like Siamese cats. I would probably be much more comfortable with dogs if not for their mischieviousness. Shadow, my mother's dog, is very ornery; he's always toppling me over, tickling my hand with his nose, or trying to lick my off-limits area. What a goober. He only likes me because I give him cheese (LOL). This dog freaking loves cheese.
Variety is the spice melange! Er . . . spice of life. I meant "spice of life."
Yes, immediately. *gives Cecilia a plate of cookies*
Hmmm . . . who is this conservative person of whom you speak? Senori?
It pleases me to have pleased others. I'm leaving the stove on so that table is never empty.
Mmmmm . . . that sounds amazing. Hope you enjoyed it. What does Strawberry Blonde Ale taste like?
If I may say so, I really, really like this deck idea. It seems cool in a green control-aggro sort of way.
@Yukora: Do forgive me if I do not continue the torrent of smilies. I'm very glad that you're feeling so happy again, and that you are on your way to recovery.
Sounds like a rad time; have fun!
All that I yearn for, for richer or poorer, is to be the peace that you feel.
All that I yearn for, for richer or poorer, is to fill your heart on my own.

My helpdesk should you need me.
