JV practice is kinda gay. The coach is a football coach and I think hes going to condition us until we're in top shape and not worry about too much tennis.
So whats been going on everyone.

Hey all just checkin in. I hope you all are having a good weekend. I know I am. Still playing some Legend of Zelda Windwaker with my wife! Anyway not much else going on. I am conetmplating what to play for type 2. I have so many side decks right now. My main one right now is U/R scepter burn. But we shall see.
@Kitty: What did you play at your FNM? Just curious because it if is rogue I would like to see it and maybe try it myself!
@All: How are you all doing. I am doing pretty good!

@Kittycat: Can you give me a decklist and I can tinker around with it? I would like to see if I can get something like that to work for myself. What is your metagame like as well?
@Goblin and Twinkee: I don't know how addicting the game is yet my wife has been playing it and I have been navigating via a walkthrough when se gets stuck. Also I have not seen the new screenshots for the new Zelda game yet. You got a link for it so I may check it out?
@all: How are all you guys doing?

My metagame is random with alot of tooth and U/x. But sorry I can't give you the list, I am testing it with team for regionals, so whn I win regionals you can have it.
That's basically the version for it right now, not much work is done to it (nor gathering the card -_-)
The other one being elves, but i'm nearly done with that list.
Bleh, i'm really shameless asking for cards.. sigh -_-
You really don't have to do it if you don't want to Kitty man.
Another news, I have a question for you all (especially for Oni I suppose since it's mroe a waitor/waitress' question). If you served a family for around $55 dollar dinner, and you recieve $7 for tip, how would you react? (there were around 4 dishes of food.. it was chinese;)).

The happiness of a man in this life does not consist in the absence but in the mastery of his passions. - Lord Alfred Tennyson
Twink's that is kinda a loaded question.
In NJ and down here in southern FL what would generally be considered a good tip is 15-20%. Seven on 55 is a little less than 15 (waiter logic), its not like insulting, but it's nothing to write home about either.
But there are a ton of other minute factors, like if a table runs us then we expect a little more (although that is rarely the case), but if they are generally easy to wait on, then not so much.
Also for some reason families with children tend to not be the best tippers. Families with older (teenage and up) kids are a little better. Post college age 20 somethings and 30 somethings tend to tip the best, and HS and college kids seem to be the absolute worst (but hey, everyone knows that students are broke, so we kinda accept it).
Is any of this making sense?
Anyway to that decklist - why use Seat? you don't seem to have anything that would relate to artifacts (affinity?) and the seat only seems to weaken your shackles...
The seat was in there because I was fooling around the deck without having to have the sceptors or shackles, and then to a more artifact heavy situation... and i forgot to switch the seats
Thanks for answering the question :). The deal I was asking was because my parents and I went to a chinese restuant for dinner there on sunday night. And basically the waitress saw us, had us wait for a bit while she cleans up a table (it was a busy night.. and things get dirty fast at a chinese restuant). So she comes back directing us to the table and all the sudden my dad decided to tell the waitress that he wants another table (which was previously occupied by 6 other people..). So the waitress went to clean that table up (grumbling ofcourse). Then all the sudden my dad yelled out (in Taiwanese, since no one else in that restuant knows that language I guess) "What a ****ing *****! She's *****ing about us!". After that... needless to say my parents weren't up to paying her tip much or anything.. but decided to give her $7 tip. Which the waitress just gave us the cold shoulder as we were going out.
So yeah, I was/am still trying to figure out both sides before having the judgement down and such.

Well in her defense - people that have to pick their own table, especially one that's dirty after being offered a clean one are generally considered a pain in the ass. It screws up the flow of the whole restaurant - especially in bigger restaurants where servers have stations and are sat in a specific order to ensure better service. Think of it this way - the time she spent bussing that second table could have been spent taking your order, or getting another table drink refills or some random chinese condiment or all 3. So another table could have felt they had to wait for her for something, and in turn left her a bad tip also.
Lastly when you people tip tip based on your servers performance. Do not blame your server becasue the hostess said it would be a 15 minute wait and it was actually 22. Don't blame the server becuase the cook gave them a mid well steak instead of mid rare - servers do not cook food. i garentee your server rang it in right and it got mixed up in the kitchen. Yes you can tell the server, and they should try to accomodate you somehow and then tip the server based on what the server did for you while you were in their care, not for some random mix up that 99% of the time wasn't their fault.
Yup
Personally I felt my parents were just being butt-heads... as for the stations, I don't think there were stations since there were only 3 waitor/waitress' that just have table all over the place. But yeah...
Thanks for clearing that part up. Now I wonder if I should bring that stuff up to my parents... especially my dad sincethe fact he likes to be the one in control of everything and if I tell him about the waitress side he's probably just going to go "I'm the custumer, i am right" ideal.. sigh
Thanks again

@Twinkee -- Do you think that the waitress thing is a big enough of a deal to get into it with your dad? Pick your battles.
@Oni -- In Illinois it's been 15% tip for awhile, but I think that's it's been steadily increasing to 20% for tips. Granted I try to tip more, if the service is at worst average. A couple years ago, I used to go to this restaurant every Tuesday for lunch with this guy in my office. We'd sit at the bar and eat our lunch, have a beer, watch Jerry Springer, and chat it up with the bartender. We'd usually tipped about 100%. Needless to say we got free appetizers a lot, free drinks, and great service. Hell, they'd even let us in before the restaurant opened and we'd go sit down and have a free beer while they were still having there staff meetings before opening time. Good tips can open doors

I will almost always trade away rares and uncommons that I don't want.
basically as far as the decklist is going it's:
4 seat of synod
2 Thran golem
4 Ophidian
4 counterspell
4 mana leak
2 rewind
4 accumulate knowledge
3 fire // ice
3 boomerang
3 Vedalken Shackles
4 Isochron sceptor
That's basically the version for it right now, not much work is done to it (nor gathering the card -_-)
The other one being elves, but i'm nearly done with that list.

Your Brightest idea was clicking this link!
i need you all to respond to this ASAP:
If you show a girl the movie Zoolander, and she doesn't like it, is that enough grounds for immediate termination of the potential relationship?
But if a girl finds Lord of the ring is boring... now we have a problem ;).
