Samurai Flamenco makes me smile in a certain way that anime hasn't since Space Brothers started airing (and I've even found myself bored with Space Bros. lately). SF is the underrated gem of the season.

Come back mid-December and we'll see about that
I totally am going to be fine. (Hint: Probably not)
I really like Samurai Flamenco. I picked it for AOTS against my friends pick of Golden Time before we saw any first episodes. Faith in Omori-san.
The list:
Golden Time
Samurai Flamenco
NouKome
Outbreak Company
Kill la Kill
Non Non Biyori
Magi S2
IS S2
Little Busters! Refrain
Gingitsune
Coppelion
Kyoukai no Kanata
Unbreakable Machine Doll
Strike the Blood
hilariously enough, my marks went up after watching tons of anime. Who am I to question such results?
People tend to have a weird perception of how much time they waste on anime, and then they watch a football game, a couple comedies/dramas and a movie without thinking about it. 14 shows isn't even 6 hours a week in total =|

Hey, lolis with katanas are awesome, and I don't care about their home country.
Dropped Coppelion for lack of characterizing the only important characters in the first few episodes adequately. Picked up Yuushibu~(I couldn't become a hero, so I reluctantly decided to get a job) for the terrible fanservicey goodness.
Heard good things about Coppelion 4 though, does anyone have any opinions on the anime?
I've been torn on where to get Coppelion from, so I haven't picked it up yet. I like YuuShibu for it's cross between Hataraku Maou-sama and Working! I'm really liking Kyoukai no Kanata and Unbreakable Machine Doll as well.
I've only watched the first episode of Coppelion, and I didn't find it that good. The characters seem to over-react to everything, both good and bad, and the usual Go Hands color overlays are getting old. I did enjoy the overall feeling of wrongness, so I might pick it up later.
It's interesting how little anime I watch right now, even though I neither work nor study (is this the so-called NEET life I've heard so much about?). Probably because I spend so much time in the new BlazBlue (which might be the best fighting game ever, with the only competition being the latest Guilty Gear) or because I still have an assignment to finish for my potential job (which consists of making a level in any game editor; how about a Sengoku Basara stage in Warcraft III?).
The shows that I'm looking forward each week are Kill la Kill, VVV, Kyousougiga, Outbreak Company and Samurai Flamenco, but I'm still feeling kinda bad about my huge Spring-Summer backlog. Watching anime sure is difficult.
Oh, and me and my friend decided to marathon different anime series together: I pick something he haven't seen for him, and he picks something I haven't seen for me (maybe that will get me into the anime mood over time). For now, I picked Kaiji and he picked Ichigo Mashimaro, and the latter has been a very pleasant experience so far. Miu is such a riot, and her voice actress is doing a great job breaking out of her usual tough girl routine.
I was thinking of trying out Kancolle, but I'm not a fan of passive gameplay. I will totally buy the Vita version when it's out, since they will most probably make it less passive, and I'd like to see the exact way they do.
Haven't watched either of the Thors yet, but I went to see Machete Kills today, and it was hilariously over the top. Reminded me of Inferno Cop and other extremely silly anime series.
Almost got myself one of the grail of all grails for my Final Fantasy collection. Final Fantasy 7 PC with slightly scratched cds (no data layer break, shouold run fine), game box is damaged at the corners and the player manual is missing, as well as the installation instruction. Putting it back into shape would cost me 10$ for the ressurfacing, a certain amount of money for an aluminium game case custom made (30 to 40$ or more at a machine shop) and the game manual and installation, which is really rare.

Casual crazy magic player, otaku maniac, unrully cosplayer, what did you expect me to be?
Oh, I remember I had a PC version of FF8 a long time ago. For some reason the PC versions are very rare (actually, them being PC versions are probably the reason lol)

I still have my copy buried somewhere in my apartment. I didn't realize it was that hard to find.
I just finished watching about half of SAO. That anime is good to great!
Me and couple of my friends watched that entire series, last week, Did the whole thing in a day. It was excellent. I was disappointed with the second act. It didn't have the same captivating feel as the first.
True, the second arc was more slow paced compared to the first arc. Maybe that's what is giving the feeling of slight disapointment for that part, but the anime was really good. I just finished watching the rest today.
And the OP and ED are great! I can still feel the shivers from the pleasure of watching anime and finishing watching a great one. What to watch next. I want to feel the immersion of a great anime again.
Yes, I might be crazy here. I can actually imagine myself in the animes I watch if they are really good, not as a main character, but as one that looks from the sideline. SAO just took one of the spots for fuelling my im,agination. I can feel my writter's soul burn with power!

So we're getting the newest Madoka movie next Feb as a screening. Was pretty happy considering only Australia got the first 2 movies, but they've realized NZ probably needed a screening too.
I've been loving a lot of anime this season. Still watching 14 seasonals, of which the notable things have been-
Samurai Flamenco~I've loved Omori-san's previous works and this one is fresh and entertaining, although perhaps not on the same axis as some of his previous works. It's a relatively realistic work and it has a lot of charm going for it.
Golden Time~I loved Toradora, and Golden Time does not disappoint. It's got a lot to live up to with all the setup it's working on, but it's fun and emotional so far, and has potential to topple all romantic anime that has come before it in my opinion. Tada Banri isn't so compelling yet, but he's recently picked up a dynamic that could become very interesting or flop hard so we'll see how it goes, but I've been enjoying it.
Outbreak Company~Surprisingly not awful. While it does have its ecchi filled moments and gags, underneath I feel there is room for real intellectual address of discrimination in a mature fashion. There's also room for the main character to grow out of naive nature, although I don't know how likely that is in an optimistic, fun anime like this.
Non Non Biyori~This is taking everything good K-On!, Lucky Star, Azumanga Daioh, etc. have done and doing it right, with a great setting with fantastic visuals, a mood setting, immersive OST, and fun gags with pure intent. I've been loving it so far, and every week I look forward to the next episode.
Log Horizon~If you want to see a gaming anime that takes a completely different direction from SAO and .hack, this is something to check out. It really feels like an anime about games, while still creating tension and intrigue. The MC is also not awful so far, and they've moved past the slow first couple of episodes. Pretty good so far, and different enough to be worth checking out.
Gingitsune~I don't really know how to describe this one. Just feels good. Lots of sincerity and heart in this anime. The MC is very endearing.
Strike the Blood~Got a lot better after the first episode. The action scenes are good, the MC is entertaining, and the ecchi is handled pretty well in general. Just a well crafted anime. I've been very impressed with Silver Link of late.
Kyokai no Kanata~I've really liked this one so far. I'm not usually into KyoAni but this one appeals to my usual tastes more. Beautiful animation. When I watched the first episode I described it as "Bakemonogatari as made by KyoAni" and so far that's been pretty close.
I'm falling behind on anime, as I move closer to my thesis due date...
I don't see why people like Kyoukai no Kanata so much. Sure, the animation is gorgeous but the plot is really weak imo, which means I can't really enjoy the animation as I try hard not to fall asleep.
Arpeggio and Machine Doll on the other hand... those were the sleepers for me.

Agree agree agree. I've always had a softspot for KyoAni and have loved some of their more "boring" series (Hyouka being a good example; the cultural festival arc was great storytelling and could've lasted another seven episodes in my eyes). But Kyoukai no Kanata takes the "boring" cake. It has all the great KyoAni hallmarks, like meticulous storyboarding -- so many insignificant background elements animated! -- but the story...ugh....

I think it's really just personal preference. I mean the plot isn't great or original, but it's enjoyable enough for me to like it and it's a cool departure from the usual KyoAni stuff. I also still think the story is less predictable than Free! I predicted everything that happened two episodes early and found the characters very bland, so this is a huge upturn for me.

Fair point. I do appreciate KyoAni spreading their wings.
