I love Joboman, Poggy, Niv, and Vezok, because, while they may not be the best players, they still try to win. Having fun is the most important thing to a game, but I've learned that if you don't try to win, then you're ruining everyone else's fun.
KoolKoal: Feel free to take this with a grain of salt since self meta isn't particularly helpful, but I think I get scumread mostly for style over substance, but also for a certain lack of substance over style. It's not so much what I AM posting most of the time (though sometimes that can seem bad) but what I'm NOT posting. I've been told I come to non-obvious conclusions a lot, so when I post, quite a bit of the time there's jumps in logic that people can't follow and they think that's scummy. I get that accusation about a lot of questions I ask specifically. People call them "busy work" when the questions are legit etc.
As far as things to ignore, I can't think of anything. I would suggest you focus less on what I'm doing and more on how I'm doing it. That's probably more likely to be accurate. Like I've just said, what I do tends to come off a little weird, but if you look for how I do it, mindset comes into play and maybe you figure out something useful.
I'd say play in a normal, but there won't be one for quite some time. There will be a new mini in sign ups after Seppel's game fills though.
Only one signup at a time? Did the mafia playerbase contract greatly or something?

LORAN!!! Welcome back.
We are a good bit smaller in the wake of curse, maybe 33% smaller, but we are now on a rolling queue basis where there could be an unlimited number of minis going - just only one sign up at a time. Our problem recently has been getting enough folks with completed designs queued up to meet the surge in demand. For the moment, everything has switched into de facto FTQ mode.

Thanks Az! Huh, sucks about the playerbase. Not sure I have the time to commit to many games myself, but I can probably handle a mini and do reviewing for other hosts to help speed up game supply. Hope it helps.

Weak Neighborizor or 1-Shot ANYTIME/ANY CONTEXT Sensor(in addition to targeting a particular player's wagon, it can also target "no lynch" or people who are "not voting".)
Neighborizor doesn't tell anything about alignment and is just "herf derf we can talk sometimes privately and we don't know each other's alignments"
Sensor, while WIFOM-y, is solid information and tells you who to include and exclude in analysis purposes. "There are 2 scum on this wagon? Cool, that eliminates the possibility that scum were pushing the counterwagon on Z. Additionally, this also means that because X's and Y's votes were the worst, here, they're probably the scum."
What's even more ridiculous is when a Sensor clears an entire wagon of town or gets a wagon with all of the scum on it.

WEAK NEIGHBORIZOR. If they target an anti-town faction then they die. Sometimes referred to as a MASONIZER. Everyone added to the neighborhood is confirmed town and can talk to each other.
I'm gonna go with Weak Neighborizor the bigger the game is. There's more skill involved with it.
Sensor is like a shotgun blast and Weak Neighborizor/Masonizor is like using kung-fu.

Ah. That's a little different, then. Sensor gets more results, faster, and with Masonizer, there's always the WIFOM of "did he die because of the person he targeted?" (which only is applicable after the first Night of a successful recruitment), or "did he die because the scum killed him?" Plus there's the whole "well how do we know you're town" thing.
Sensor still gets my vote.
Also, I've just realized that I can make 3 oz. of Versace Crystal Noir, a $95 perfume, for $3.10.

Weak Neighborizor or 1-Shot ANYTIME/ANY CONTEXT Sensor(in addition to targeting a particular player's wagon, it can also target "no lynch" or people who are "not voting".)
Sensor, easily. The volume of information all at once, despite the lack of depth, greatly outweighs little bits at a time. Mostly because the Sensor can info dump, die, and his info still be useful. If a Neighborizor were to die before N4, he's likely not to have much of an effect.

21 players, 4 scum with 2 kills until 2 of them die, 2 lynches per Day until 10 players alive.
Day 1, I claimed Masons with Wildfire. I pushed both lynches on Day 1, one on scum. I got Doc'd Night 1 and the 1-Shot Vig (fulcrum) shot one of the 2 Cops. The other scum kill went through, though.
So I immediately pointed out Wildfire as scum (who then agreed with my entire argument against him) and his scumbuddy that he wouldn't vote for. They got lynched by Day 3, and then I, as VT, got shot AGAIN before the claimed Cop.
We eventually won, and that last scum (Vaimes) wasn't feeling too good about that 9v1 endgame.

It's also to make sure that hosts with better reputations can't steal players from fresh mods running their first game, or something like that.

So, B_E, I'm curious - why genie Jafar?

Also I have no idea who Genie Jafar is, so if I knew who he was I may change. Or not.
Aladdin doesn't ring any bells? The bad guy with red annoying parrot?
Also theory: Which side would a game allowing private communication favor?

Probably the side with the private communication
More seriously, though, I think it'd be in favor of the town.
Also, Aladdin was a pretty good movie.
On that note, I had no idea what country you were from until now. I always thought you were American, for some reason.

No, you didn't say you were an Aussie. There are certainly advantages to being a mod.

all it takes for a Cop shot to be helpful is a chimp typing "/cop [player]" and seeing whether the mod responds innocent or guilty
Sensors take a bit more analytical capability (than Cops) but some of this can be diffused to the rest of town, and it's still hard facts anyway
