How would you guys run an EDH league? I think we have vaguely discussed these ideas before.
Having a location-based component would be flavorful, but how far should it go? Should we have entire games at single Plane cards? People tend to show up over a couple of hours and then stay to varying times, probably playing 1-4 matches every time we meet. There would be probably 8-10ish participants who have between 0 (would be borrowing from me) and 18 decks (me). It seems like it would be cool to deploy decks at certain locations and have only those decks able to fight in their area, but is it worth the hassle? Can we support 1v1, chaos multiplayer, and team formats?
How would you score games? It seems like there could be point system with objective goals like pts for eliminating a player, pts for controlling the most creatures, dealing the most damage in a turn, etc. You can also have subjective categories like "funniest play" that people vote on or whatever. Can this system support pts for goals that are limited to certain colors, like "most life gained" or milling?
If we had something like that around here (and I still kept my collection up to date) I would totally be down for that. Right now the only kinds of EDH to be found around here is cutthroat 1v1 or two-hour chaos grind sessions.
We require that all clans stay active, and that at least six members stay active in the Clan. If a clan is inactive for three weeks, their clan leader will receive a PM and a moderator will post in their thread),
I feel like we haven't entered any Clan Contests in a while.
It's slow progress. We have a contest planned, but apparently nobody can agree on how it works and nobody is willing to run it. If I make it through these reports alive, I'll probably do it myself.
In general I'd estimate that CCC&G is seeing about half the traffic it used to, give or take a bit. I would be very surprised if that isn't the case for the rest of the site.
Here, KoolKoal. I'll bump the thread for you.
CC, when is the next Clan Contest starting? Any update on that?

I find "French rules" EDH to be a fun (and, in my opinion, fairer) version of EDH to play.
there is no opening parentheses in that sentence

I have been out of work for over a year now. Perhaps I should consider reapplying for jobs.
