I voted land. Only because we desperately need a torpor orb land to battle ETB: The Gathering.
LOL! This is so true. Creatures should power down and get on par with spells. It's like they are trying to make up for 15 years of not so great with 5 years of outstanding. Certainly not a good policy to have.
Hey, so I have been part of the Salvation community for a little over 6 years, but haven't joined a clan. I am interested in being part of the Kitchen Table Finks, since I do have over 80 decks and am working on about 5 right now, aaannnddd have about 30 more designed (unfortunately, I build them slowly).
Is there an initiation online, i.e. Q&A session or something along those lines?
Also, anyone from the Finks in Southern California?
No need to jump through flaming hoops to join the KTF! Aside from the ritual bloodletting to purge your body of any and all competitive urge*, there is only one other thing you need to do: pm your request to officially join to Rabidvacin, Etched Chester, BlackVise, or myself.
*Disclaimer: Ritual bloodletting is not necessary for entry into Kitchen Table Finks. You may, however, be asked to submit a video of you performing the Charleston along a busy street in your area dressed as a chicken.
Hola! I'm Stoogeslap (get to know me and I'll share my name :)) I'll be bummin' around this town corner... See all of you around.
OK, so I have been part of the Salvation community for a little over 6 years and FINALLY joined a clan. If the noob can have the floor, I have a most excellent suggestion: why not have a thread for each clan, so multiple subjects can take place w/ much less clutter? There can be a sticky for introduction and specific clan rules.
I am just suggesting this because a new thread was started up after the last one hit 1,000. I'm not tryin' to come in & be bossy. I just think it would be great if there was a bit more structure, so we can stay on the topics, not deviate, & carry on some awesome conversations. Apposed to coming off as Cybil...
I was actually initially working on a completely separate build of the deck that focused on color changing, but it was too all-over the place. I realized that in order for Justice to deal damage like that, i'd have to be consistently taking damage from my opponents, which meant either massive lifegain or crazy tough creatures, and negligible offense. I was looking for a more aggressive build, but i still have a skeleton of that other deck that i might flesh out just to see where it takes me.
I actually was considering putting Crimson Wisps in there for card drawing, but then i realized all my creatures are red anyway, so it would be a purely defensive card.....i suppose it might be neat to have my opponent attacking with some massive creature, and then make it red and pop all the damage back onto him... It might be really worthwhile to help chunk the damage though. Oooh, maybe Dwarven song!
Just designed a deck that only a Kitchen Table can appreciate. What do all of you think about it? Should I pursue building it? It won't be too expensive. What would you add or take away (please let me know why).
I make more EDH decks than casual, but I've got 1 I wanna make. It involves (3 concepts I might take 2 or 1) Gaters (from planeshift) / Caw Blade(budget, wayyy budget) / Blink.
I loved when I saw the Sawtooth Loon + Squadron Hawk Synergy (maybe add a bit tribal, they are both birds) and I've been wanting to make a blink deck for a while, and I saw this cool pauper "caw blade" deck. Mix all 3(4)!

p.s. - I already own a Volrath's Stronghold - so the priciest card is already owned... I just proxy the expensive cards I already own
Living Death and Bojuka Bog as 2 ofs each could really be fun here. I love love LOVE reanimator decks! I am sorry they just keep getting more and more hosed.

Any thoughts on the land/mana issue?
Painter's Servant makes everything red!
However, no one answered, so i suppose you're justified!

Welcome Stoogeslap!
Do you look like your avatar?!
I am just letting you guys know I applied for the clan mod position and would like to know if there would be any objections from your behalf on this?

I'm just kidding.
I'm sorry.
Awwe

No objections here. Go for it!
Tricket Mage fetches Bonesplitter and Skullclamp, both of which work well with Squadron Hawks
Squadron Hawk
Sawtooth Loon (syngery with the Hawk and Trinket Mage)
Dream Cache/See Beyond/Lat-Nam's Legacy/Brainstorm all work well with the Hawk
Some of those work well with Miracle.
Adding tempo cards like Exclude, Dismiss, Repeal will also allow me to miracle on their turn.
The odd thing is, it has elements of tempo and control. Which im not sure if its a good match.
Thoughts?
