I'm wrapping up writing a standalone short story set in that world on behalf of my editor (characters and scenario that she came up with but is having me write).

Well, there are only three lines that reference "November Rain", and metaphorically, no one wants to be left in the cold November Rain, so I suppose your idea is the way to go.
