Yeah, my sig is functional, too. I think the post numbers and thread IDs are still functional, but the system just added stuff on top of the original functionality.

I'm on track! So far I've postulated that the cosmic microwave background radiation might have origination means of not being echoes of the big bang, but instead light waves that have been red shifted and then microwave shifted over billions if not trillions of years (or more) until their energy state balances out at a universal constant (See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cosmic_microwave_background) originally emitted from stars immeasurably far away.
That would mean that our universe is infinitely larger and older than current estimates (~13.798 billion years)
I've never been satisfied with the universe being estimated at only around 14 billion years old--that feels way WAY too young to me, and scientists have had to practically invent certain disciplines of theoretical physics to justify it to themselves and that defy all known physics. Spending billions of dollars trying to find dark matter/dark energy simply to justify certain cosmological theories is ridiculous to me.
Look at it this way. The Earth and the sun are roughly 4½ billion years old, and our sun has an estimated lifespan of around 11 billion years.
Every atom on Earth larger than a helium nucleus was created in a previous supernova.
I want to know if the same photon of light behaves differently after it's been travelling through the vacuum of space, passing by galaxies and black holes, and you name it, after certain periods in time.
Zero seconds, 10 seconds, 10 minutes, 10 days, 10 months, 10 years, 100 years (10 decades), 1,000 years, 10,000 years, 100,000 years, a million years, 10 million years, 100 million years, 1 billion years, then 5, 10, 15, 20+ billion years afterwards in 5 billion year increments.
The only thing is, I would need a laboratory larger and older than the known universe to conduct such comprehensive testing.
Kank's theory? After time (extreme time), the gravitational pull of the rest of the universe on a photon of light continues to exert on that photon, red-shifting its visual spectrum until it eventually drops energy states completely into the infrared range and then eventually drop down into the microwave spectrum, leveling out as a universal whole at the range we currently measure as the CMB.
I don't believe such things as "universal constants" or "objective truths" can exist, all knowledge, and therefore, all "truths" are just human-made constructs. Humans are cultural animals brought up with a certain set of beliefs ingrained into them, and organize and observe reality based on these beliefs. In essence, "world" is just a way of looking at reality, as we are sadly incapable of experiencing reality in all of its unfiltered glory. Thus, things such as "Planck Constant" are essentially the same as the Discordianists law of Fives. They are not a fact, but something we draw our attention to, because we're on a lookout for them. Thus, the world is subjective. This makes me the life of the party around physicists, who tend to be extremely thrilled when their worldview gets compared to a religion.
I also believe that the reality has been existing forever. In fact, the concept of reality not existing is quite absurd. The world, which is subjective, is changing as we speak and as such, hasn't existed the way it is for even a fraction of a second. As such, trying to measure its age is absurd and futile. Even moreso, as the linear progression time is a human construct. Reality in itself encompasses all possible worlds at any possible given time, we just progress between them in a way that allows us to adapt and live with our rational mind, a slave to causality and logic, intact.
I came to this conclusion while not wearing pants.
