If you could, I'd say to check out the clan council thread and take a look at the proposed rules and scoring rubrics and see how your idea could be implemented somehow in due course. There has been a lot of interest in your idea, it's just that other reps are interested in how it could function.
Aw come on, I bet we can make it work within the scoring context.
Help flesh out what exactly would be going on in the contest and I'll help figure out a way for the scoring to work!
@Zephy: Welcome back! I just recently came back myself.
@Cold: Yeah, the Eastern US is pretty wussy, honestly. We regularly get below 0 and not have anything ever get cancelled. We get much worse wind chill than a lot of the Midwest as well. :/ Minnesota is about the same as here. I mean, -50 is decently common. I still go to work.
@Amadi: Welcome to the clan officially. Well, once the bio kicks in. You can be part of the community.
@Lazer: Good luck looking for a singer!
@WG: I love the final result. Looks very, very nice.
@Vliger: What does Siri say the Fox says?
@Stardust: Woo! Telescope.
@EDH: Who doesn't love some good EDH?
@PG: You only play EDH? Also....you have giant sized cards? Like the old arena ones? Do you have a LOT of extras? I've been trying to collect them so I can make an EDH deck from them.......I'd love to talk about trading if you have them.
@Moss: I think this game would be really awesome to play. I wonder if we could make it work. I agree that something needs to be done to make it a little more inclusive. I'll have to think about what could maybe make it a little more so.

Wait... Siri actually gives silly answers when you ask her what the fox says? Awesome.
@Slavan: Thanks. It would be difficult though, asking someone I just met that day to join my band... Not to mention the part about expecting her to be able to imitate Aurora's signature moves (the "easier" ones, nothing too insane at first)... though it's not impossible.

I also play games, and watch movies, but don't we all? Oh, and fiddle around with some electronics projects.

I've said it twice already. I post a category. Clan members make posts that fit the category. That's it.

@Amadi: They closed schools for being approximately -25 Celsius. We got to -10 Celsius the last few days which is absolutely balmy by comparison.
When it gets above -25 in Finland we remove our jackets and change our boots to sandals.

Temperatures: According to the forecast, it's actually not going to be too cold here for the next few days. Will have lots of snow though.
Cliffs of Dover: Practicing well. Don't think I'll be able to get the guitar solo down before Wednesday though, so I kinda made up my own semi-improvised part there. I'm sure listeners will be fine with it.

I have an idea to help!
How about we have three rounds and each round you put forth, let's say 10 categories over the course of a week, and each clan (clan member) that's playing gives their impression to fit your category.
At the end of each round, while people are playing the new round, they also privately send their 1-5 star rating for how well the other clans did for the previous round to the contest host. Maybe one clan does best round one, another round two, and another round 3, etc. Top scoring clan after three rounds wins. That makes a 3-week contest with enough time for people to come up with quick witty comments over the duration of the game and allow variety and spontaneity (which is what we'd want to personify the spirit of improvisation).
If that sounds promising, I have a way for multiple members of a clan get in on the action, that when they post their own responses, the post would start off with their clan name in brackets and color-coded at the beginning of their post. Clans can have multiple entries for each category, but only one per each different clan member.
(I'd also recommend a no-editing posts rule like in Mafia, so people can't try to come up with a better/funnier answer at a later time and change what they said.)
Also, the contest host can list all of the game participants under each clan as well.
Part of what I do every day is changing things around to make them work better. We can make this work, I just know it!
Going to play some pre-re tomorrow. Skipping Sunday to have some quiet time and not be late for any Super Bowl commercials. I predict that Bruno Mars will be good at halftime.
Got promoted up the next step of the ladder at work. Exciting times.

Blarg I didn't get to play pre-release, but then again, I really do need to save my money. Also, I need to find a R/U commander not named Niv-Mizzet that I like. I have a Braids deck that I love, but I feel like one color is boring, so I want to add Red.
And that commander may just be Melek. He looks so fuuuun!

She was my other thought. But I remember when I opened my first Magus of the Future, and I still HAVE that Magus of the Future. I love him. Melek just makes me think of him. Jhoira feels like a straightforward commander with only one viable strategy. I dunno...
U/R needs more interesting Commanders.

But Melek, Izzet Paragon is a card that likes instants and sorceries, while Braids, Conjurer Adept likes permanents. So switching Braids to Melek sounds like changing the deck completely, doesn't it?
(Jhoira of the Ghitu likes almost any nonland card though.)
Hmm...This is true. I dunno. I might even just not build R/U. I like the idea, but I'm a permanent guy. I play Group Hug and Stax, not Storm and Wizard combo.
