Okay, DQ broke the tie for the promo card, so now I need someone else to break the tie for the plane. (Don't bother ranking the release card because all that could do at this point is put it back into a tie again!)
Anyways... got several piano things to do coming up. So there's another Open Mic Night on November 22, and this is my setlist:
1) 60-Second Etude no. 1 (by me)
2) Jazz Exercise no. 2 (Oscar Peterson)
3) Scherzo, op. 19, no. 2 (Niels Gade)
4) 60-Second Etude no. 6 "Split Leaps" (by me)
5) 60-Second Etude no. 4 "The Mad Dash" (by me)
6) Etude op. 740, no. 41 (Carl Czerny)
7) 60-Second Etude no. "12" (by me)
[For the last one, I named it #12 when I wrote it because it felt the best as the last piece of the series. I haven't finished the series though, so I don't actually have 12 of these etudes.]
Hey guys, you may not know me but I am a member of [REDACTED] and I wrote our entry for the recent Blockbusters Redux contest.
I would first and foremost like to commend you on your efforts in said contest. It takes quite a bit to put out creativity in such a public manner and I am proud of you for doing so. Each entry was well done and entertaining in it's own right and you should be proud of what you submitted. Thank you for sharing it with all of us.
I would also like to thank you for taking the time to not only share your creativity with me but to also allow me to see some of the fellow writers and creators here on Sally. I am absolutely thrilled to know that there are others like me on these forums. Know that I consider all of you both peers and friends. If any of you would like to contact me and “talk shop” I would love to hear from you. Drop me a line in my inbox here on the site and I will be more then happy to get back to you as soon as possible.
Also, don't let the fact that you may not have won stop you from continuing in your writing. You all showed that you can do well if you are given the opportunity. With that in mind I can only imagine what you can do if you continue to use your talents. So please, continue with what you are doing and I promise I will encourage you all the way.
Once again, thank you for taking the time to share your creativity with us and thank you for the good reads. Hopefully we can do it again sometime.
The way you cats presented yours was just the straight up bees knees. The story and card were awesome too. But the way you presented yours really made me think of a planeswalker guide. I totally wish I had the time... actually, I wish I would have just thought of that. Freaking sweet.
@DQ, Lol. I didn't always talk like this. When my kids started repeating what I said, I started putting some weird stuff in my vocabulary so I didn't swear so much. I'm glad someone thinks it's cute, because my friends typically make fun of me for speaking like that. The user fraustX actually calls me "edited for t.v." a lot.
We actually use very little profanity around here. When at times where I feel like using profanity, like if I'm playing a game and getting my ass handed to me, I'll say things like "poop" or "mother-father" instead of something worse.
My daughter loves Hellboy (that's still one of her favorite comic book movies) but she doesn't feel comfortable saying his name, so she calls him H-Boy. Evidently they discourage saying "hell" in school, because my wife and I certainly don't care if she says it.
Mother-father is a good one. I used to say "What the what?", but when my daughter says it, it just sounds like she's saying "What the ****?", so I stopped, lol.
H-Boy is cute as all get out, omg.
I use more profanity now after working in an office for so long. I've been trying to be more creative with it though. Sometimes more asuccessfully than others.

Sorry about us getting 3rd place, I know you guys said you liked it but I still wish I could of done more and actually cleaned everything up.
Also noteworthy, I have a new favourite snake. The "Hairy Bush Viper" is just too awesome. Shame they can kill a full grown man with their venom. Maybe I should check into getting anti-toxin shots to boost immunity.

You were awesome my man!
About your "Hairy Bush Viper" issue: I think some extra time spent with proper genital trimming procedures should help clear that right up!
Regardless what that scoreboard says, you did a fantastic job Snake. You really stepped up and represented crafting at its best!
By the way, I'm getting started on crafting my Secret Santa giftee's present and I feel confident s/he will enjoy it.
I think the time to jump back into the roleplaying routine is close at hand. For those of you who are interested, here's a preview of the title page. Any input would be great appreciated.:
Are you a sentient being 18 years of age or older looking to expand your horizons while traveling to alternate dimensions, meeting and/or fighting interesting people, and making lots of money?
If so, then GreyCorps® is interested in you!
For over 300 years, GreyCorps® has been the Multiverse's premier provider of diplomatic/paramilitary assistance. From simple security detail at social gatherings to assistance in resolving plane-spanning conflicts, GreyCorps® delivers.
We are looking for enthusiastic field agents to represent our interests while serving our exclusive clientele throughout the Multiverse. Applicants must possess a professional work ethic, exceptional problem solving skills, be able to pass the "I'm-Not-a-Broken-Character-Test", and be proficient in the martial and/or mystical arts. Natural planeswalking ability is not required, but it is a plus.
GreyCorps® offers exceptional benefits including 401K, paid vacations, pensions for long-term employees, health, dental, life, afterlife, and free Jolly Jeeves® :cookie:s!
Come visit our job fair, held all this week at the Vizkopa Community Center. Located on the corner of Karlov Crossing and Obligation Way across from Snarg's House of Sin. Our friendly recruiters are accepting applications and conducting interviews on-sight on a first-come-first-served basis.
Don't let this unique opportunity slip through the Æther! Join GreyCorps® today!
GreyCorps® and Jolly Jeeves® are registered trademarks of Lord Grey Interplanar Conglomerate and protected under interplanar copyright law. Unauthorized use of these trademarks are subject to fines and penalties determined by LGIC and it's parent(s) which may include monetary fines, imprisonment, and/or very bad things.
After a much needed hiatus, I decided to give the old roleplaying bit another go. This is essentially a reboot of the Lord Grey & Co. mythos: some things will be similar to their last incarnation while others will be different this time around. Most importantly, I'm toning down the power level (and ego) and going with something a bit more approachable (and hopefully far more fun). For continuity purposes, the events of that old thread never happened. I, as well as a few others would be content to chalk that one up as a learning exercise.
Overall gist: GreyCorps® is assembling a specialized team to travel the Multiverse aboard a state-fo-the-art vessel to assist various clients in solving a variety of interesting problems (in other words: they're mercenaries). These events will take place in the Magic Multiverse, albeit a version that features burgeoning planeswalking technology that has helped branch the various planes and give rise to interplanar business empires (like L.G.I.C.). Looks like someone finished Venser's work…or repurposed some old Phyrexian tech. Other than planeswalking being more accessible, everything else either adheres to or is inspired by Magic canon.
If you wish to participate, please forward your persona's résumé via Private Message to the Sentient Resources department (aka: me). Make sure to include:
Persona's Name
Age
Plane of Origin
Desired Position(s) in the Crew (ex: Helmsman, Medical Officer, Infantry, Science Officer, Quartermaster, Chef, etc.)
Work History
Skill set (ex: combat and/ or magical disciplines, talents, accomplishments, etc.)
Short Bio
Reason why he/she/it wants to join GreyCorps®
All personas will be subject to review to make sure their concept (and more importantly, their power level) are appropriate for this chronicle (in other words, I don't want to see any machine-toting Super Saiyans or any immortal Oldwalkers who disregard the Mending).
I'm willing to be flexible with this as long as whatever you're trying to do is compatible with this multiverse…and isn't overpowered.
I'll be acting as host/dungeon master/world-builder and will be devising and running the story arcs (as well as handling all of the NPCs). Ultimately I'll have final say on what sticks and what doesn't, but I will strive to be as fair as possible (don't worry, there will be little to no one-hit kill attempts, wrath effects, catch-all abilities, etc.). If any of you have concerns, please let me know. I want this experience to be enjoyable for all who are participating.

I'm glad someone thinks it's cute, because my friends typically make fun of me for speaking like that. The user fraustX actually calls me "edited for t.v." a lot.
I don't really believe in censorship, aside from a few select words. Though, most of the time I make up my own words. It gets to the point that if you're around me for long enough, you actually understand what the "Whibble whichit" is or where "Flowggy Glack" is.
When I get a minute, I'll read that whole thing Grey. For now though, apparently I'm getting to launch my mafia game (earlier than next year). Sign-Ups here. I think it's quite flavorful, but I guess we'll see how hosting my first game goes... I was going to add more flavor to it seeing how much work Wessel put into it, but I guess I'll have to go with what I have...
One of the reasons I add the 18+ clause for persona ages is to make sure they are mature enough to compose themselves in a professional manner...and capable of entering a legally-biding contract.
Not to mention the whole incident when "Emmy" disintegrated Amaya's clothes and you pointed out that she's underage.
I know some of you are into the whole moe thing, but I personally find the idea of potentially placing children (real or fictitious) in adult or even slightly risque situations very uncomfortable...and irresponsible. Therefore I'm strictly adhering to the idea that any characters involved with this chronicle should at least be "of age". So regretfully I'm going to have to say "no" to that proposed 8 year old character.
As far as Aurora goes, we could just say that the story takes place one month in the future. We could even fit Aurora's 18th Birthday into the mix!
And one very important thing I forgot to add in the previous post:
All participants should limit themselves to roleplaying one (1) persona at a time (with the exception of myself since I'll be handling all of the NPCs, running the scenario, etc.). We've already experienced how flooding the scene with extraneous characters makes things chaotic and unbalanced. The players should be stepping into the shoes of their solitary avatar and seeing the world through their eyes.
By the way, I will not be running a hero character of my own. My main persona will essentially be an NPC who hands out your missions while providing entertaining banter (and free Jolly Jeeves® :cookie:s). Any scenarios I devise will be puzzles for the rest of you to solve and the satisfaction of solving them should be yours.

Let me know if you have a tough time drumming up players, because the last game took up so much of my time, that other things suffered because of it. Besides, I'm so awesome, it's not fair to the opposing side, right?
I need at least one more reviewer stat for tie-breakers! (With only two reviewers, there are a lot of ties!)
They needed these reviews in yesterday, so we're already late!
HEEEEELLLLLPPPPP!!!
For the secret person that asked me "what do you want?" on Elfster, I have no tangible wants. Just send me something artistic or whatever you like.
What I really need right now is a reviewer!

Once again, three cheers to pet snake for all of the hard work you did buddy!

Seriously though, my character is 8.
Aaaaaaand... Technically three people. Don't worry. Two of them are functionally useless without the third and she's, again, 8.
You should know, Grey, that my character isn't going to be overpowered, just completely ridiculous.
