Yes, I have watched Sequelitis. Funnily enough, I've watched pretty much everything Egoraptor has made. I disagree about Majora's Mask being a prime example of the problems. I feel that there's more to explore in Majora's than there is in, say, Ocarina of Time, simply because the nature of many of the areas changes with each day, whereas the same cannot be said with Ocarina. However, you have to work for it a bit if you want to see everything, manage your usage of the days, and I find that to be a rewarding experience.
As I said, though, I believe it's a polarizing experience.
Regarding using tutors as a means of dealing with tucking, well, it's hard to say whether it's what some would do. I never did, personally, but if a card had the ability to tutor for my general in the case of tucking (muddle the mixture grabbing nin, the pain artist or something along those lines) then it was definitely a nod towards the card being included. It may not have been the intent, but I won't deny that it was a nice feature. This also depends on what your strategy is, though. If you're playing a voltron deck or some other build that relies heavily on having your commander, then I would say including tutors for the sake of dealing with tucking is a totally valid line of reasoning. This applies more to casual play than anything, though. If you're playing competitively, you should have a better answer to tucking.. or really just disruption in general. tutoring for your general to cast them again is terribly inefficient, and there's a real chance you'll just lose in that time.
So i need a good RPG or something to play on PC. skyrim has reached that dry point where im OP, but im not bored enough to roll a new toon. looking for a different flavor of game.
Mario Kart 8. I am a bad candidate on this. I pled Mario and Luigi Dream team a few months back. But this is far from an excellent RPG, although enjoyable. A little distraction, if you will.

I've been trying my hand at various games lately. Osu! is fun, but the songs I want to play are completely out of my reach. "Absurd" is not at all an exaggeration. Guild Wars 2, because I wanted to try another MMO out for pvp reasons. Seems ok, but I'll need a while to decide if I like it. Interesting, at least.
Finally, I've been playing Pokemon in a 'competitive' scene, using Smogon rule set. Mostly I've been using the dredge gameplan of punishing people who don't bring the proper answers, by way of setting up a sturdy Shedinja. If that fails, I just fall back on talonflame/cloyster sweeps. I'm still learning a lot, but it's quite fun.

I was really hard into pokemon during XY, a lot less so since oras. I got so into it a made color based teams to keep the game fresh. Kinda burnt out on it though, since after i started to dominate my small local play group, it got a lot less fun.
Currently looking at the dark souls 2 remaster and season pass. new content could revitalize the game for me.
I didnt care for GW2, felt very grindy and very little other player interaction.

I didnt care for GW2, felt very grindy and very little other player interaction.
I don't even know that there's a local group here for it, I've just been playing online exclusively via pokemon showdown. Makes it a lot easier to try various things and can always find someone to play. I decided to branch out into the 'official' ruleset for vgc doubles and learned of the scourge that is dark void smeargle. I definitely prefer smogon.
I was pretty unimpressed with dark souls, personally. To me, it felt like the difficulty was artificially heightened by way of unintuitive controls and combat. Not something I particularly enjoy.
I can't speak for player interaction, but the primary reason I looked into GW2 for pvp is because of the fact that it doesn't require a grind. Once I had a good feel for the controls around level 11 or so, I jumped into pvp. No need to grind to the highest level, no need to grind for gear, it's just all there available. I was bombarded with new mechanics that I hadn't reached yet, but that's solved by just playing the game.
Just started Dragon Age Inquisition, it's fun so far. I only got into the beginnings of DA Awakenings before I had to give up for various reasons (Varric, recycling areas, invisible enemy waves) and already I cannot wait to kick Varric out of my party, he's just so cocky I want to turn on party damage so I can kill him off.
Got some MTG cards (dig through time and containment priest) haven't had time to play in maybe a year, might just sell off everything and invest in MTGO.
Any DA I suggestions? I'm playing on Nightmare right now as I think Fire and then Rift Dalish elf Mage/Apostate (Ice looked underwhelming but typically I prefer Ice for freeze and slow effects); second playthrough will be a Templar (S&B probably).

Got some edh in last weekend. Played my new mono red control (Jaya Ballard, Task Mage) twice and Mishra once.
First game i lost because by the time i got jaya and akroma's memorial established, the elf player had an army of giant elves (beastmaster's ascension with joraga warcaller). Got mauled by little green men on performance enhancing drugs.
Second game was a thing of beauty. Board state is quiet, portcullis and ward of bones kept the board clear of threats. I threw down a furnace of rath and chilled; threatening to burn anything that came my way. Portcullis got popped, and Thraximundar came down and got equipped with something that gave him +3/+3. Thrax then 1 shot the guy to my left. My turn top decked Word of Seizing. I snatched thrax for myself, and commander damaged its owner out of the game. Felt SO good. Played a chump blocker, passed to omnath. Omnath player declared attackers, i chump, then he realized his pump and trample card was sorcery speed.
I untap, nuke the world with a furnace of rath boosted blasphemous act and scraped out a win.
Mishra game was a slog, but i pulled out a very late night win. Game went slow against everyone, until it ended up with me vs grand arbiter. details below (ted is my friend playing GAAIV)
Ted on top deck mode with lands, make critters indestructible enchant, 5/7 angel, 10/10+ angel, and lumniarch ascension loaded with counters.
Me with crawlspace, vedalken archmage (draw a card when you play an artifact) and goblin welder.
I establish junk diver, and myr retriever with steel hellkite in grave ( I think you were there when I pitched hellkite). Ted draws into many lands while attacking with 2 big angels every turn. I weld retriever into grave, return something to hand, chump with hellkite and junk diver. Return retriever to hand with diver death.
Turn for me, play retriever, weld into hellkite, return diver to hand, play junk diver. (I can repeat this at will for rest of game for 5 mana, 7 with teds general in play)
This allowed me to stabilize with 2 flying chump blockers every turn, and drawing lots of cards via archmage (who I quickly copied with both phyrexian metamorph followed by sculpting steel). Stuck Mishra and blood funnel, cloud key, and etherium sculptor. Non creature artifacts cost me 4 less to play (3 less with teds general) and let me draw 3 cards.
Went off to the races after that, and eventually cyc rifted ted with blightsteel out for the win
I have always wished that Guardian Beast's mana cost was B, rather than 3B. I don't even think it would be broken. It would just make black really cool in Legacy.

idk, 2/4 would block goyf safely until it hit 4/5, and would be really great for bug with shardless agent (my favorite legacy build mind you)...and imagine him as an include in decks running aether vial.
a 2/4 that makes non critter artifacts indestructible for B. not to quote franks red hot, but i'd put that ***** in everything
I'm in a weird standstill phase. We got the acoustic foam set up, and my audio tests seem to indicate that the amount we have should suffice to cut the reverb from this room. So, we're all set to start recording, but we have to wait a bit. To cut down on outside noise which could potentially be picked up, we plan on recording exclusively at night (1-4 am) so this will require sleep pattern overhauls. I find myself in the odd situation of fulfilling a long-term goal by staying awake and doing nothing. Well, nothing meaningful. In any case, we should start recording around the beginning of next month.
Haven't really played any magic lately. The people at my LGS seem pretty engrossed with various deck building games, and while they're somewhat enjoyable, it's not as fun as magic. Been playing a lot of Project M lately, though. There's a weekly tournament held here, so I've been trying to get back into the swing of it. Squirtle is incredibly fun, but he has a ton of tech that is unique to him, so I've spent a lot of time just learning all that.
Can't think of anything else worth reporting.
I think even a 2/1 guardian beast for B would be really cool. I would actually play that. Not to say it isn't good now, but the effect is so odd that I think explaining it to my EDH group all the time would ruin it for me.

All hail smartphones! The bringers of Oracle Text on demand!
Glad to hear the set up is moving along dude! Starting up is always the hardest part, once you get past that, it'll be a breeze.
I don't mean that the card text is a pain to explain. It is, but I more mean that the card in general is weird. It's such a non-standard ability that even with clear oracle text, I'd have to remind people of it multiple times per game. Doesn't help that some of the EDH players here are kind of.. well, dumb.

i dunno whats so convoluted about it. seem simple enough, while guardian beast is untapped, and you are sitting on a green or orange chair, with 1 hand on your face while you lean, all your artifacts that dont have power or toughness cannot be taken control of by your opponents, but you can keep control of them; no one can attach auras to them; and no one can destroy them - unless guardian beast is destroyed, then they can be, but not all at the same time; you need to have guardian beast get destroyed FIRST, then do the hokey pokey while shaking a beheaded chicken in the air reciting a hoodoo vex over a salt circle, THEN you can effect your artifacts.
Easy peasy! Seems pretty par for the standard course to me.

Hey everyone I'm just popping in for a bit , I hate the whole oh look I'm back and then I'm gone for who knows how long till I remember to check back here thing I do lately, so I'm not going to promise I'll be around more often but I am thinking about setting an alarm on my phone once a week to help me remember to come check in and see what everyone is up to.
In terms of me playing magic, I haven't had much time to go do it, a week ago I had my shirt catch fire while I was boiling water and I have some not so fun burns on my left hand and side, I'm saving up atm to try out my new prototype of my not so spin-y spin on Mishra, my problem is I don't have very many people to play with, but things are looking up I have some old friends and my roommate who I might be able to get interested in edh (they all have played magic before) so if that goes well I'll have a play group to play with more frequently than I have previously.
Firstly, i wouldnt worry too much about your frequency about posting here, life comes first man.
I would probably avoid cooking forever though. When you catch on fire, its a sign that perhaps ordering pizza is the way to go. Hope you are able to get a playgroup together! If not, I am always game for a cockatrice game (assuming we can skype it up while we play). I am sure other gents in here would be willing if we could find a time that works for folks.
No music in the works yet, though my brother has been throwing some ideas around about that so possibly in the future. No, we're starting a youtube channel, aiming for high quality from the get-go.
Raph, I'm interested in how you managed to catch fire when boiling water. I mean, I've had plenty of mild injuries from cooking, but never with actual flames.
Step 1: cooking oil is good, motor oil is more pure.
Step 2: as any well trained Texan, Raph knows that propane and propane accessories allow him to taste his food, not his heat, so thanks to Hank Hill, he uses a gas stove.
Step 3: Bring oil to a boil, for them delicious rhymes.
It's going to be a "Let's Play" channel that focuses on console games. Not purely "retro" as we plan on playing everything from NES all the way up to Wii U stuff. Most of the content we have planned is for the SNES and PS2, but there's a fair smattering of other stuff as well.
