It's also possible to replace Debt of the Deathless with Scholar of Athreos, but the math gets really hard. I calculated this for my previous solution and came up with 374532, so less than what I had with DotD. But it's possible that with Increasing Vengeance instead of Will/Timetwister, Scholar becomes better. I honestly can't tell.
Anyway, here's another one. Also based off your previous solution but taking Beacon instead of Children this time. This one deals 4.56*10^46 damage so it's probably better.
1) Lotus, Channel, Lattice (14 life).
2) Beacon of Immortality (16 life).
3) Mind's Desire x5 (10*2^5=320 life).
4) Take 306 mana, going to 14. Cast Train of Thought (153 copies).
5) In between each copy, cast the Beacon of Immortality you draw. Life total goes -6 and then *2 each time. End result is 2.28 E46.
6) Cast Debt of the Deathless. Opponent loses 4.56 E46 life.
You really just need to embrace the rage. I keep a small colony of hamsters next to my computer and every time I lose a match to mana screw I throw one against the wall.
For the previous one: So you don't assume that your opponent will die from losing 2394 life when you cast Debt to the Deathless the first time (on turn one, remember)? I mean, they just die, so you can't continue to go off!

No, our opponent played an infinite life combo on turn 1 and is now at an arbitrarily large life total. Except of course the number they wrote down is smaller than 10^46 so I still got them!
You really just need to embrace the rage. I keep a small colony of hamsters next to my computer and every time I lose a match to mana screw I throw one against the wall.
Okay it's truely broken now. It's still a finite amount, except I can't remotely calculate it anymore because Excel can't handle these numbers.
1) Lotus Channel Lattice (15 life).
2) Mana Echoes (11 life).
3) White Sun's Zenith for x=7 (1 life, 42 mana).
4) Train of Thought 19 times, casting WSZ each time.
First WSZ makes 1 Cat (8 total) generating 7 mana.
Second WSZ makes 4 Cats (12 total) generating 4*11=44 mana.
Third WSZ makes 41 Cats (53 total) generating 41*52=2132 mana.
...
The tenth WSZ makes 2.2 E213 mana. After that, who knows.
5) ???
6) Profit.

I mean I already enjoyed drafting minotaurs. It wasn't always there, but when got my hands on a Warcaller or two, I had a great deal of success. Now my minotaurs are cheaper too? These are very exciting times indeed.
Yup, I think at the point where we can't even calculate the damage done using a spreadsheet I'm happy to call it Enough Damage. Good work!
(It's a shame the cats don't have Haste, because the amount of Haze of Rage damage we could do with all that mana and all those cats would be... considerable.)
Ugh - Do Not Want! This set is starting to look distressingly like Dark Ascension.

Casting WSZ for 7 should get you 49 mana, not 42. Each creature counts itself. The ruling is right there on the magiccards.info page for Mana Echoes.
So you'd get 22 Trains of Thought instead of 19, and the first WSZ after that would generate 2 Cats, so iteration 1 of step 4 would get you 18 mana, not 7.
Wit's End is the PERFECT answer to your opponent's Monomania however.
Just hold on to your Wit's End when they Monomania, so you can Wit's End them on your next turn!!!
I think this is fairly reminiscent of the "Jace Battles" we have seen in past standards.. My guess is we will soon witness the great Monomania-Wit's End battles.

I'll be sad if people don't start calling The Chain Veil "Fleetwood Mac."
Dramatic Rescue is a good card. All the tempo advantage of Unsummon with none of the card disadvantage. Also nice job on the maindeck Dispel. It's actually a strong call in that format.
Don't expect to get too much feedback for brag posts around here, though, unless your deck is really interesting. We all like to see people do well, but if everyone posted every 3-0 deck they built, we'd be awash in them. The Limited subforum has a thread especially designated for that stuff.

That's a nice deck. The 4x Azorius Charm is a bit surprising (it's rare to see that many copies of an uncommon in the same draft), but i'm sure welcome. Congrats on the 3-0. I've never maindecked a Trained Caracal in my life, but that doesn't necessarily make it wrong (although I think it almost always is).
well I wanted more then one creature in my one drop
Generally speaking 1-drops are not worth it in Limited. There are exceptions of course, but you should never worry about not having 1-drops.

I'm about to do a five man draft of this set with noobs. And I am a noob myself, for Theros.
Any advice? A five man draft in a world of devotion seems... rough.
Judge's Familiar is pretty overplayed. There is a lot of text on the card, and that cursecatcher throwback feel, but, at the end of the day, it's just a 1/1 flier.
(Edit: And, not being one for MTGO in a long while, when I say judge's familiar is overplayed, I just mean in Baltimore FNM drafts.)

Indeed. The problem is that it's not exact. The game rules require you to be exact about things like how many tokens you have or how much mana is in your mana pool. You can't get away with something like "I have approximately 1 quintillion Cats."

I love this kind of thing! I have never been smart enough to work stuff like this out.
I don't know if you guys have ever played 4 Card Blind, but the local Legacy group ran some tournaments for it a little while ago on their website. The best I ever did was:
Well, I'm actually gearing up for some tournament play. There is a PTQ here in St. Louis this weekend. I'm going to try the Wb aggro deck that won GP Shizouka. It seems legit (plus I actually own almost all the cards already). The only thing I'm trying to figure out is how to deal with Blood Baron (other than winning before he shows up). Thinking about putting a couple Celestial Flare or Devour Flesh in the sideboard.
Yessss, this looks great, good luck! I've been playing a similar deck in Standard. Celestial Flare is my go-to for Blood Baron.
There is a GPT for GP Melbourne this weekend, both of which are Standard. I am still considering whether to go or not, as I don't even know if I'm going to the GP - and, if I do, I'll probably just play all the Eternal side-events.
GP Kuala Lumpur is next week. I wish I had prepared more, but I guess I know the format well enough. I'm going to draft a few times this weekend, maybe do a sealed if I can get enough people interested.

I think it's better to just assume you're either going to beat blood baron with brave the elements or just accept that it might beat you. It's not really the most widely played card and it's a sorcery speed five drop. I don't think you need to change your aggro deck with it specifically in mind. Every deck in standard is soft to something and if your deck's biggest weakness is a five drop, that's certainly acceptable -- they will be dead by then much of the time.
Thanks everyone for the feedback and thoughts on my deck as I look forward to this weekend. I will fill you all in on the results. I only wish I was playing for something more exciting that a free trip to Atlanta. I mean what's in Atlanta anyway? The Braves aren't even in town that weekend, so I wouldn't be able to live the dream of eating a Waffle House waffle at a baseball game.

So a quick question, sunday I have to draft again, we are drafting M14, is there any good tips you can give me? is it a slow or fast draft? any uncommon card I should watch out for?
I'm sure if you search through the limited forum (as opposed to the limited clan where you currently are), you can find some info about M14 drafts. Generally, when I am preparing for a format, I make sure that I know every trick (instants and creatures with flash) that are in the format, focusing mostly on commons and uncommons. This helps me figure out what to look out for in game to avoid getting ambushed by something when attacking and blocking. I don't remember what the particularly strong archetypes were, but I do remember it being the most fun core set to draft.

I avoided the format because it looked super boring to me, but based on what I've read, it's an extremely slow format and blue is by far the best color. It's the sort of format where playing a single mill spell and then just stalling the game for 30 turns is a viable option (maybe overstated somewhat, but I did see plenty of decklists that worked basically like that). There's also a combo between Bubbling Cauldron and Angelic Accord that basically makes you impossible to kill, and all of your creatures are 4/4 fliers.
Probably everything you need to know right there. Ayup.

Pfft, exact. Pi is approximately 1. Speed of light? Either 1 or 10^8. And so on. /end astrophysics aside.
I was just interviewed for a local podcast that's getting more and more listeners as both of the guys are rather good and fun. It's called Legacy Breakfast and focuses on the Legacy format. If you want to listen to my ramblings on judging and some legacy related content, find Ep. 16 when it's up.

I hope the draft goes well and you have fun!
My crash course for any set (and I just had to do this for Theros), is I look up Simon Goertzen's videos and listen to his opening discussions on a particular set, and then watch him draft.
The limited forum is also a fantastic-to-good-to-okay place to get limited advice, it kind of depends on who is active at any given timespan. However, I find it harder to figure out a format from an hour of reading forum discussions than from an hour of listening to one man pontificate in a beautiful German accent.
Generally my sources go in the following order, if I'm lagging behind in real experience.
1.) Simon Goertzen videos
2.) Friends, if they happen to be draft ringers
3.) This forum
4.) Channel Fireball videos

It was super fun!

Thanks! According to my calculations it should be somewhere around 10^2.687.000.
I hope the draft goes well and you have fun!
/end shameless promotion aside.
