I have the oven roasted chicken breast on 9 grain honey oat with spinach, lettuce, tomatoes, bell peppers, cucumbers, and onions.
I prefer Subway over Quiznos (and other sandwich shops) because its healthier. Actually, Subway isn't very healthy either; but, my one configuration is the one that barely makes the cut.
Speaking as someone who once worked for a Subway...
White bread
Meatballs (crushed into chunks with the bread knife)
Cinnamon sugar (used for discontinued cookies and pretzels, every Subway inexplicably has a box full of it)
Shredded cheese
Yellow mustard
And the price differences are franchise-related as well as regional. It depends on what the owners want to promote, and what they're allowed to promote.
I've had so many subway subs that they all taste the same now. So I generally ... don't get them.
But when I do I tend to get the Chicken Teriyaki. Or/probably definitely just what's on sale.

Our belief is not a belief. Our principles are not a faith. We do not rely solely upon science and reason, because these are necessary rather than sufficient factors, but we distrust anything that contradicts science or outrages reason. We may differ on many things, but what we respect is free inquiry, openmindedness, and the pursuit of ideas for their own sake.

I like getting the Spicy Italian footlong on Italian herbs and cheese. Lettuce/tomatoes/onions/Jalapenos everywhere :).
I don't go to Subway that much nowadays because they have started to become too expensive for my liking. Even the five dollar footlongs are starting to fade away as inflation takes its toll. It was nice that Spicy Italians were back down to 5 bucks as a sub of the month in November, but now that they went back up 75 cents I think I'll be going to Subway like maybe once this month.
In Ireland, we don't have as many options as the US seems to!
I'd normally get a footlong Italian BMT on Honey oat with sliced cheddar cheese, toasted, and then with all the salad (sometimes I decline Jalapeños, depending on what mood I'm in). Then, a small amount of sweet onion sauce.
I used to get the sweet onion chicken teriyaki on the cheesy jalapeno bread, but they discontinued my bread... Now I have to get the slightly inferior honey oat bread.
I don't go to Subway often, but when I do I get meatball marinara due to the other sandwiches I've tried having a larger degree of variance.
I'm from California though, so I'm a fan of Togos. I believe it only exists in California, but man their 9" subs have more food than a Subway footlong. For 7~$ I used to get the Roast Beef, Chili, & Cheese. Along with the titular items, it had chipotle mayo sauce, tortilla strips, onions, all toasted on tasty Parmesan bread. The 9" was stacked, I believe coming in at ~1100 calories.

Until about two years ago we had a Togos here in Illinois. So they spread out at some point. They really did load those thing up with meat.

After posting I looked it up, and I believe it can be considered a nationwide chain. IMO the best choice for a real hungry student on a budget like me.
it also seems strange getting most of the toppings with a meatball sandwhich so the times I've tried it I end up pretty much just having it and cheese and maybe lettuce, not enough

I don't like vegetables, so usually when I'm asked about condiments, I get parmesan cheese, salt and pepper, and spicy mustard.

pepperjack cheese is actually not bad if you're on a diet provided it's just one or two slices. excellent source of calcium and *gasp* protein.

I like it on the Italian herbs and cheese bread with all three kinds of peppers, olives, red onions, pepperjack and a sprinkle of parmesan. Nom.
it also seems strange getting most of the toppings with a meatball sandwhich so the times I've tried it I end up pretty much just having it and cheese and maybe lettuce, not enough
