Go for it, man. Jace, Liliana, Chandra, Elspeth, Sorin and Gideon are all legitimate names (+1 for Elspeth being Scottish in origin, if I remember correctly, though I could be wrong about Sorin).
Funnier, I knew someone whose last name was "Bolas." As far as I know, he wasn't named Nicol or Nicholas or anything like that. (I'm surprised I'm not enough of a smartass to call myself "Nicol Bolas," since my name is "Nicholas.")
Statistically, your son wouldn't be alone as it's popularity is in the top 200 names in the US now for births going off of that site. I also cannot really think of anything wrong with the name Jace for rhyming purposes that deal with random body parts and the like. So it's all good.
If you are concerned him "not liking the name" just give him a middle name. There's a number of people that "hate their first name" but love their middle name and go by that. At worst you can just call him Jace-Something and call him by his two first initials. Now if you were calling him Urza-Mishra with the nickname "UM" I'd call you a tool, although Mishra you could pass off as ethnic or something. Urza, though, not quite.
As an aside I pulled this stunt with my mother-in-law:
"We've decided to name the baby after someone very successful in life, and do it in your honor"
"Oh, you shouldn't have!"
"Yea we're going to name her Oprah after your favorite show, we figured since Oprah was rich and all it was a good call to inspire her in the future to live up to her name."
We didn't call our daughter Oprah, but it did piss off my mother-in-law.

Even though I will probally never have kids, if I ever had a daughter I have to admit that I would be tempted to have her first name be Serah and her middle name be Angel.
When I was born, my Dad wanted to call me John Elway (Last Name). Thank god my mom talked him out of it.
Anyway, I think Jace is an okay name. The reason your naming him isn't that cool though. It's kind of nerdy to be honest, but no one else will know, so more power to you!
Jacen Solo. Han's son. Later becomes Darth Caedus, kills Luke's wife Mara, and gets killed by his twin sister Jaina. To say he was brutally derailed as a character is understating things quite a bit.
Holy Spoiler Alert Batman! A simple, no it's Jacen Solo would have sufficed.

That doesn't happen until the 9th book of a horrid series, that only the biggest masachist int he universe would read though. So it was unlikely any one would actually read that far to find it suspenseful.
I did read all 9...I haven't seen writing that bad in a long long long time. The fact those people are allowed to continue to write should be considered an injustice.
I personally know two people who named their son that after the Planeswalker. If you genuinely like the name...go for it. Just don't expect to be unique in the Magic community for doing so .

Pretty much this. I consider making it so people don't have to read an absolutely horrible series to be a service more than anything else (honestly, these days I think only Zahn's books are worth reading).
The fact that Wookieepedia redirects "Jacen Solo" to "Darth Caedus" also doesn't help.
The other thing too is that there's a long history of people naming children after characters and historical figures. Rebecca became popular after Shakespeare, and a number of other names. The Bible has always been a source for names as well as the Koran.

Well my girlfriend and I have decided to name our first daughter Lily. She has expressly forbid me from naming any of our children after Magic cards. I will move hell and high water to get her middle name as Anna.
EDH, on the other hand, is more like a monster truck rally. It's more about the spectacle than the race, the games go long, and it's not usually clear who's in the lead until there's only one truck left.*
Single player EDH is like two guys smacking each other with pillows... until one of them pulls out a shotgun.
Honestly, as a legit name, its fine. But you seriously need to make up a story to tell people when they ask where it came from.
Incidentally, when I was born, my father was deciding between Vladmir and Thor.....the mother talked him out of it.

And you, too, are one of us, and yet you are not. In your words I hear anger, hatred. I see a darkness that is not cold and lifeless, but is alive and moving, like a living entity. I feel caged, trapped, a yearning for escape. --Death Gate Cycle Volume 3: Fire Sea

Liliana is a perfectly normal name. So is Elspeth (if not a little old school), Gideon and Nicholas or Nicole. At least with these kind of names it's not so painfully obvious that you're a tool.
But when I see little kids running around being called Garruk, Chandra, Ajani, Sorin, Sarkhon, Venser and Koth, I might have to choke a *****.
I loled so hard with these quotes.
When Jace 2.0 became so popular, i told a friend of mine, that there will be a time, when babies would be named "Jace Smith" or "Jace Chang".

Nah. See, Jace is actually moderately cool. At least, compared to sparkly vampires.
