I was hoping there was a thread like this. I love cars in general (except Honda lol jp). I mean ive been going to carshows and races with my dad since before I could walk. There is nothing like finding an open windy back road and having a little fun! As long as its a manual...
As far as cars go...
my daily car - '97 200SX SE-R, lightly modded
my "affordable someday" dream cars - Z33 Fairlady (350Z to most people), S13 Silvia w/ RB26DETT, '67 Nova, '32-33 Ford
my "not so affordable ever" dream cars - ZR-1 C6 Corvette, R35 GT-R, M6, DB9 or Vantage, 550 Marenello or 599 GTB, Alfa 8C
... It's a shame we can't get SuperGT broadcast in Australia.
You need Speed Channel lol, actually they dont show SuperGT. Although the do sometimes show Aussie racing, I dont remember what the series is called. Holdens, Vauxhauls, etc

- Let's just say, I've been around since the Ice Age
My favorite car is a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro. I got to test-drive one of those cars the other day and man is that car sweet.
Now my dream car is a totally different car.
Yeah, my dream car is a 1969 Shelby Mustang GT 500.
Dude, '67 is the iconic year! Last year before they were bought out by ford.....ford = bad.

And you, too, are one of us, and yet you are not. In your words I hear anger, hatred. I see a darkness that is not cold and lifeless, but is alive and moving, like a living entity. I feel caged, trapped, a yearning for escape. --Death Gate Cycle Volume 3: Fire Sea
I've gotta say, my project track car is growing rapidly on me.
After spending the last two weekends re-fitting the suspension (Koni/Eibach shock/spring combo front and rear, new bushings, ball-joints, front control arms, rear camber arms), the 240sx coupe my father and I are working on feels unreal to drive now. Feels like a new car, and it tucks and takes a line in corners now way stronger than it did on the Tein suspension. So balanced...the understeer is jsut gone.
We're getting ready to finish fitting the boost controller and hot-pipe/bypass valve. Expectation post tune is roughly 260whp, which at 2700 lbs puts it at about the same power-to-weight ratio as the new Camaro SS...
--->DJ
--->THe S13 chassis is just amazing. It just keeps responding to tuning and refinement the further we go. Not bad for a very inexpensive little car.
And as for getting guys onto the battlefield from library for 0 mana, it's obviously a TRAP CARD!! Dun dun dun! "When bad stuff happens, sac some lands or discard some cards to convince Megatron or inky to help you out.
Sorry for the blatant necro, but I have some upcoming car news... Tomorrow morning, we get the first pics of the new HSV range. Exciting stuff for muscle-car fans, so watch this space...
EDIT: For the uninitiated, HSV is Holden Special Vehicles, they do up-specced performance versions of Holden Commodores - The car that was re-badged as the Pontiac G8 for sale in the US.
Something that is hard to find, and not everyone and their mother will have.
So for me, that means it has to be something that's not a BMW or a Mercedes or a Lexus or a Skyline, or stuff that everybody has (at least here).
So three options, off the top of my head:
94 Maserati Quattroporte. Much better design than the current one. Imposing, yet discreet. Might even bring one over.
2. Opel Calibra, Turbo, 4 wheel drive. What can I say? I love this car. Very good looks, 4WD for the winter, and with a bit of tuning I can smoke all those kids in their Skylines.
3. Last but not least, a 1990 Opel Lotus Omega. Yep, an Opel tuned by Lotus. This car is a monster. This is the car I'm most tempted to bring over, even more than the Maserati.
Not a fan of the Quattroportes, old or new, but I agree on the Lotus Carlton/Omega. That thing was an absolute beast. The Vauxhall-badged version held the record for fastest Vauxhall right up until the Monaro VXR (another HSV by coincidence) went on sale.
Unfortunately the turbo AWD Calibra was never sold in Australia, we had to make do with the atmo bum-dragger instead. Still, quite a looker for its time.
Realistically: Anything better than my s-box '96 Toyota Tercel

It's not quite as pretty from the front as I was hoping, but it's still a fairly elegant design overall (given some of Ferrari's recent efforts).
Actually, the more I look at that bold, squarish front intake, the more it reminds me of an older Fazza... I just can't put my finger on which one.
Comes stock with 390-HP
I like Corvettes alot too and Mustangs in general (I have one). But the SVT Cobra is just a beast even when its bone stock.
My best friend's dad drives a Koenigsegg CCX though. I want money too.. T_T
