For all the seniors out there, what universities have you been admitted to so far? So far, I've been admitted to UCLA for pre-economics... and I'm waiting for a whole bunch of others. I think I'd strongly consider it since my family isn't rich and can't afford a private college. Anyways, it'd be nice to hear others talk about their situation.

No. My family makes around 200k a year and my parents are still only willing to cover half of my tuition. They said they'll cover half my tuition regardless of where I go. So I'm thinking I'll go to a public university for my undergrad and consider a prestigious, private university for my graduate degree. I think it's a smart idea. Of course, things could always turn out that I'm not intellectually capable enough to get a graduate degree but I'll figure that out along the way.
I pretty much royally ****ed up high school for a lot of different reasons that I don't want to get into, so I'll probably be going to a community college to try to improve my grades, then looking to get into some good schools (I have a 32 ACT, so the grades are really the only issue).
I'm currently going Northern Illinois University but am thinking of transferring to Illinois State University because it has a better Criminal justice program. I got a 31 on the ACT which enabled me to get a scholarship to help pay for college since I make next to nothing at my job and refuse to get a loan from either friends/family or the school.

Wow. Could always file as an independent student, show them how poor you are, get financial aid then get that check from your parents.
Meanwhile I enjoy my stay at the Art Institute, which surprises people as everyone sees me a scientist.
I got a full ride from University of Utah, so that's where I'll be going. I'm not taking the $2900/year for a room since I live close I'm going to take the $750/year cash offered instead. I got a 32 on the ACT, and had a 3.97.
Next year, or the year after (depending on how much money I earn this year) Hopefully the Queensland College of Art for Photography. It's an OP 8 if you go on HEX, but if you pay upfront right away it's an OP10, and I will hopefully have enough to get in right away on an OP 10. I think, with my grades, I'll get an OP 4. I'm hoping for it.
Sheridan College for Broadcast Journalism (they're new, but they got a VERY experienced staff there). I'll be the third generation of Journalist in my family!

Well I got accepted into the universtiy of rhode island as a double major (musical performance/musical education.) I am pumped that I get to learn so much so soon.
I went 7 for 7 with colleges getting into: Syracuse, NYU, SUNY Binghamton, SUNY Geneseo, George Washington, Ithaca and Emerson. And I will be attening Emerson as WLP major in the fall.
I didn't apply for any colleges. Here in Arizona, you can get your Associates Degree for 1/4 of the tuition payments at the Maricopa Community Colleges and then transfer to a University for your Bachelors. I honestly DO NOT know why everyone isn't doing this. I thought that the kids I would be going to SCC with would be kids from middle-income families such as myself, but it turns out its mostly hilly billies and spoiled rich kids who's mommy and daddy's did their homework on saving money for school tuition.
I'm deeply sorry if this is off-topic, but, how much does tuition cost in the United States?
Tuition at a high-end private college usually runs around $30,000.00 and up, with another $10,000.00 for Room and Board, and maybe another $2,000 for other expenses (if your a sap and buy your books brand new.) A school like Vassar or Princeton would cost around $45,000-47,000 a year, with state colleges, community colleges, and others are usually much less.
That said, its really does balance out quite a bit, since most of the pricier schools have extremely large endowments they can be very generous with.
Your college tuition, however, seems extremely low. Thats about $1,800 if I did my math right. That astounding.

We live in a country were ~50% of the populace believe public schooling is a socialist conspiracy and that being called Einstein is an insult. We could try and fix it, but unfortunately the other 50% don't believe in euthanasia.
I got accepted to both MSU and UMKC, but decided to go to MSU for a few reasons, one of the biggest being that it is much cheaper than most colleges. -Jack
Im at CIA (The Cleveland Institute of Art) it share campus with Case Western Reserve and lucky for me my favorite card shop for FNM is a 15min bus ride:)
