I got gas for $1.79 last week, I live in Iowa and we've been under $2.00 for at least two weeks now.
I'm in Iowa too, in Ames, and we are at $1.94 a gallon. I really can't complain, but I do see surrounding cities even lower. Ames has always sucked like that, it's been the same price even though the price per barrel keeps dropping. Oh well, I remember filling my van at $3.95 a gallon, so the last time I did it for only $39 was awesome.

In Japan it's still high; it was 150 yen/liter (roughly $6.00/gallon) when I got here in September, and it's down to 122/liter. (roughly $4.50/gallon, inc. changes in exchange rates)
I do want to get home and be able to drive around a bit more freely again, though. I remember working last summer as a baseball umpire, and driving everywhere at $4.00/gallon...
It's anywhere from 2.09-2.12 around here in Jersey. I really want it to go below 2 bucks. I always shout "Go down, go down!" everytime I pass a gas station.
$1.95/gal in my neck of MD - it's interesting that my suburb of Baltimore has been the best spot in the state since I've started using the link above about 2-3 months back.
I used to always run out to around my parents in the boondocks of Carroll County thinking the prices were better out there, but I have yet to find them having a better price than our cheaper stations since I've been using the National Gas Temperature Map.
And I'm really disappointed that with all the speculation of people as to why that not ONE person has mentioned the stock market crash - you do realize a large part of why gas went over $3/gal was because of artificial shadow-demand created by the oil futures market, right?
And it doesn't look like many people will start investing back into oil futures too heavily from the rumblings I get - so gas prices could jet back up to $3/gal or so with demand/production fluctuations, but I doubt we'll see $4/gal again terribly soon.
After a nice 500-mile each way trip across California, I like to think gas prices under $2/gal are hearsay.
I filled up on I-5 at $2.899, $2.699 and $2.599 in various places. I think it's $2.299 here just now, but gas is lower than the county average in my hometown for no apparent reason. I'd be shocked if the lowest in my county was lower than $2.179/gal.

Here in Wayne County in Ohio, it ranges between $1.79 and $1.89, has been for about a month now. Loving it!
Gonna be sad when it goes back up, but for now a ten dollar bill buys a hair over 5.5 gallons, I'll enjoy it while I can.
Having seen prices across eastern Canada, I've seen it as high as $1.12 a litre and $0.77 a litre. It was cheapest around Ottawa and most expensive between Sault Ste Marie and Thunder Bay. My guess is that the limited options around Lake Superior allows gas stations to have higher prices.
Its down to around 1.80 in central Indiana, at least north of Indianapolis. And the outlying areas around Indy (Fishers/Carmel/etc) have been close to 30 cents cheaper than where I'm at.
it just dropped to 1.99 overnight and i'm not seeing it go above $2.50 when it does begin to rise again

It's around $6 NZ per gallon (still cheap compared 2 b4), $1.50 per litre, here in NZ. That's more than $3 in USD, It's quite different. Have you guys even heard of petrol taxes?
My girlfriend filled up for $1.61 a gallon tonight after getting 3 cents off for paying cash and 5 cents for presenting our receipt from groceries. The E-85 was only $1.49, I wish I had enough money to buy a new car so I could save money on gas.

When and where? It was pretty bad a month or two ago, but the state average is under $2.50/gal now, and I'm pretty sure it's not at $3 at any well-settled place. It might approach that at the borders, like out in the desert or up in the mountains...
I just remembered that a certain less-reputable spot nearby did $1.799 for an afternoon a few weeks back as a stunt and got slammed with business. And I just learned that Costco's got a few spots in the Bay Area at $1.999/gal, but most of that's close to the oil ports and refineries (and away from me :().

I've seen it between 1.919 to 1.999 here in New Jersey. In fact, two shells, on the same street and only about eight miles apart are selling it at those prices... oh well i guess its just the volume of business at the one in town that allows it to be eight cents lower. Anyway, its great either way. I pulled up to put twenty in today but that was actually more than would fit in my tank (i was at about a quarter already) and that was pleasantly awesome.

Here in Utah it's almost $0.75 of tax per gallon. Filled up today for $1.93/gal, though I could've got it 3 cents cheaper down the street (had i had enough gas to make it there)
If it's not then why did it drop over 50% in about 6 weeks? It even started dropping before the economy really started to take a dive. It's not like the people in India and China all stopped driving.
Every 4 years the new president is influenced by the idea of renewable resources and alternative fuel sources. The oil companies are smart.

Most places in Burnaby and Vancouver still are stuck above 90 cents. I imagine my mom will faint if she ever sees 77 cents a litre...
