A semi-open setup where one row or column will be chosen at random from the table below and the remaining six roles will be filled in with Mafia Goons and Vanilla Townies to match the numbers above. Players will not be informed of which setup is in play.
Just a quick question though. I notice the grid has a lot more than two Mafia spots. If the first 2 people are mafia, and the 3rd person randomly gets another, would he just "reroll" until landing in a town role?
Also, are those alignments in the grid set in stone? ie, no Town Roleblocker is possible.
KoolKoal: Feel free to take this with a grain of salt since self meta isn't particularly helpful, but I think I get scumread mostly for style over substance, but also for a certain lack of substance over style. It's not so much what I AM posting most of the time (though sometimes that can seem bad) but what I'm NOT posting. I've been told I come to non-obvious conclusions a lot, so when I post, quite a bit of the time there's jumps in logic that people can't follow and they think that's scummy. I get that accusation about a lot of questions I ask specifically. People call them "busy work" when the questions are legit etc.
As far as things to ignore, I can't think of anything. I would suggest you focus less on what I'm doing and more on how I'm doing it. That's probably more likely to be accurate. Like I've just said, what I do tends to come off a little weird, but if you look for how I do it, mindset comes into play and maybe you figure out something useful.

It's based off the newbie setup that Mafiascum.net runs. Eco helped me to balance it a bit more, and for my first outing as mod I thought this would be a nice easy one to run. Plus, simple mechanics hopefully equals more focus on behaviour rather than roles (a trap I keep falling into )
Hm. I think I have just enough time for a Mini before I peace out for the summer.
/in!
edit: this setup is run pretty much exclusively for new players over at MafiaScum, since it's simple and gives them an introduction to power roles. Should be refreshing after all the large complex games run here
edit again: just so we know ahead of time: can the Roleblocker use their ability and perform the NK simultaneously, or only when they're the last one alive? Does the Jailkeeper block and protect in addition to spawning a QT?

It's standard on this site for the mafia to only be capable of performing a single action at night unless they are the only member left, which is how I'll be running it. Not sure what you mean about the Jailkeeper/QT thing, never seen a JK get a private chat with the prisoner.
Protective role that can roleblock + protect someone, and they can talk in a QT for that (Day/)Night. Probably just Night, I don't think Daychat is a Thing here.

one more!
I will actually need a replacement if this game isn't over by June 20th, though, barring early lynch/NK.
