I would hate to cause players who want to play in one game to miss that game in favor of another one which I voted for and have no desire to play in, regardless of if I think one game is better fit to be run than another.
This.
I definitely have a preference over which one I'd rather see run first, but seeing as how I can't guarantee I'll be able to play in it, I don't see why I should influence the vote and force others to maybe miss out on a different game they'd much rather play.
I see it as trying to be fair to everyone and respect those who have a better chance at playing in the next PCQ game when it rotates.

That line of thinking puts bias towards games that are for more players.
That line of thinking puts bias towards games that are for more players.
I think you misunderstood me.
I'm saying I don't know if I'll continue playing Mafia. If I don't, then even though I favor one game considerably more than the other, how can I legitimately vote for that game if I can't say for sure that I'll still be around playing to sign up for it.
If I'm not, and let's say the game I voted for won by a single vote, then I hosed a bunch of other people out of a chance to play the game they wanted to play. And that simply isn't fair, in my mind. So I choose to abstain from voting out of respect of others.
It has nothing to do with size of games in the least.

Because, if you feel that one game definitely deserves to be ran over another, then it shouldn't matter whether you stick around or not. You are presently a mafia player and have every right to vote for the game you like better.
If you have no intention of playing in either game, then there is no way that you should be voting for either game. It is sheer arrogance to just vote for the game that you like, even though you're not going to play.
This is ENTIRELY a queue for people to vote for which game they would rather play. By your logic, Seppel and Zindabad should just go bug everyone that they know on the forums and ask them to come vote. They won't be playing in the game, but obviously they'll like it better because it's run by their buddy.
It honestly seems like absolute common sense, to me, that you should not be voting if you're not going to participate.
At this time, I would like to declare my intent to submit a setup. Just working on finishing it up and final reviewing. Going to be great, well worth the wait
This is ENTIRELY a queue for people to vote for which game they would rather play.
No, it is a queue for people to state which they would rather see run. Granted, that usually means someone's planning to join it, but it would be perfectly acceptable and morally fine for someone to vote for the game they like, regardless of if they plan to play in it.

This is absolutely different than I said. I said mafia players are welcome to vote for their favorite game.
Plus, Seppel has no need to send PMs to people explaining why his game is the better choice. He's willing to let the players decide on their own without outside influence.

I look forward to seeing what it is. I know Dagger worked with you and he's currently working with me so that I'll have a submission next time.

It was a good afternoon to catch up on your reading. The sun was bright. The breeze was good. The chair was comfortable. There was no distraction.
You flipped another page.
A red rose dropped lightly onto your lap.
Alas, you spoke too soon.
You raised one of your eyebrows as high up as you could and snapped your eyes upward, ready to berate the annoyance when you paused at the sight before you.
France was there, the back of one hand held up to his forehead and the other holding another rose. Where the hell did he get all those roses anyway?
There was an aggrieved look on his face as he pouted, before reaching forward to clasp both your hands with both of his, somehow managing to squeeze the rose in between the tangle of hands. Your book cluttered noisily onto the ground in despairing defeat.
"Oh, it is tragic. Tragic, really. A world meeting 'as been called, and we 'ave to attend."
Your eyes did a rollover in irritation. Another meeting. Equally useless as the previous, no doubt. And it was a meeting called by France, of all people. You gazed at your fallen book mournfully.
"Which world-shattering issue is it this time?"
A multitude of excuses marched across your mind, each begging to be said.
"It ees awful! I 'ave heard zat zere ees a group of coutries warking to ovarthrow us!"
That was... bad. Nobody was supposed to find out for another few months. A single misstep at this point would cause all that careful planning to go down the drain.
Unless... the entire thing would have to be moved up. True, it was very risky, but one must seize the chance whenever an opportunity came a knocking. The plan would have to be put in motion during the world meeting.
"Very well then. We shall go together, you and I."
Together with the dagger you reserved just for him.
Welcome to Hetalia Mafia.
This is a specialty game for 21 players.
This setup has been reviewed by the excellent and very helpful Dagger, and is based on the TV show Hetalia. Hetalia is a comedy TV show based on the allegorical representation of countries and their relationships around and during World War 2.
Mechanics:
The primary mechanic in this game is the concept of community chosen abilities. Each day, a list of 3 abilities will be provided in the opening post of that day. These abilities can range anywhere from cop investigations to ability redirections, and everything in between. As the day progresses, in addition to determining who to lynch, everybody will secretly vote for who they want each of these abilities to be used on. At the end of the day, those abilities will be submitted as night actions on whoever received the most votes for them.
Just like in any other game of mafia, voting does indeed matter. However, in the politically-charged situation of Hetalia Mafia, influence or the lack thereof is everything. You will find there are abilities in this game that are interested in the matter of votes far beyond their standard application in a normal mafia game.
In addition, I believe the flavors in this game will be enjoyed greatly. Dagger certainly did.

Really nice flavors btw. I really enjoyed reading them. I can see that you have put in lots of efforts into this.
This game has been in development since August of last year, and is now extremely refined. However, I would still appreciate your thoughts on it; what you like, what you don't like, what you would like to see more focus on, etc.

So, is today the start of official voting, or are we just going to keep the current votes and set a 1-week deadline from now?
