Tom started this game like I think he has started a lot of games - don't have any numbers on this - just posting funny gifs. I, like a lot of people, was just giving him a pass on it, regardless of whether I thought it was good "town" play, because I know he does it, and I know having fun is more important to him than optimal play. He did stop it earlier than I would have expected town-Tom to do so, after getting maybe a bit more blowback than usual for it. That stuck out to me a bit. Feel like town-Tom is less accommodating and more nose-thumbing stubborn.
I would say he expressed no strong opinions on anyone on D1. Period. I don't actually know if that's meta or not, just pointing it out. His early reads were the most surface of surface. Me for being...manipulative? Zds for being...sinister? Then votes Konan because, I quote

He doesn't do anything to follow up this vote or make, in his own words, any attempt to figure Konan out. Vote mainly just sits there. This is at a point in the game where the wagons have stalled out a bit, with Konan and ZDS both hovering in the 4-5 range. Tom then jumps to voting Sloth, in what could possibly be interpreted as an attempt to "make something happen," except, I guess he was actually 3rd on that wagon, and he doesn't really. Again the vote sits there with no attempt to engage Sloth or argue it to anyone else. And then he goes back to Konan after that wagon picks up steam again. With a short side-track to join the Wakemeup flashwagon, and then back to Konan.
The thing that is sticking out to me now is how he isn't attempting to argue that the person he's voting is Mafia. He's just voting. And mainly talking about people other than the person he is voting.

In the end he further hedges on KJ by saying that KJ could be Mafia as well - though everything he had said before that was in the context of KJ being Fulcrum's partner.

I find the lack of a Tubba read (for the most part) from tom to be weirdest of all, if only because he's usually one of the first people to defend/condemn Tubba.

It can possibly give scum time to convince enough people to swing to another wagon (or town to do the same thing tbf) and cause people to doubt their own reads and such. Or it can give people enough time to correct mistaken impressions and swing to a better yeet target if they swing at all. Seems to just depend on the game and the state it's currently in.

depends. Stretching the day out allows people to second guess themselves and for a strong scumteam to argue their way out of a wagon. Really depends on the confidence level of town in who the wagons are.
Is Tom at L-1 now? If so, he should claim. We could get a replacement for someone at any minute that comes in and votes blindly (I looking at you Starling). I'd be willing for him to wait a bit if he is only L-2.
