I could try and pretend I'm town still but no point. Having 2 scum games at once on 2 new sites. Was a bit too much for me mentally
. Really annoyed at how much my scum game has fell.
Oh wow, so you're scum? I guess town is doing fine without me.
Actually this is the sort of reaction I would expect from scum more then town to what I did. But It's Phraze so who the hell knows if this means anything.
Can you talk more about this before Twilight ends?
Because of my post just now, it's obviously highly relevant info while you can still give it.
What I mean is that her post felt the most forced and least natrual to me, which is how a scum would react imo and what I was testing. I think Phraze may react that way if town though, Wisp is a way better judge of her then me though.
probably, he is wrong on me though
PoE is still pretty tight so we just have to go through it
and given my VT claim, and a roleblocker existing somewhere
it's expected I will get heat
I probably will have little time for this game starting tomorrow which sucks
Phraze's reaction is probably NAI
and IDK what a wolf!Phraze game even looks like, havent seen one since she pushed Logic for slanking while he was in a hurricane kek
no idea what game that was though
still think your test was pointless if you are town, everything just get's muddied
I think a wolf might be more inclined to just pretend like they are happy you were hit, but then again that is how everyone should act
regardless of their alignment, so
Hey I told you all I was town and gave you reasons why. I put a fair amount of work into this game. I just wanted to try something so calm down with the hate we would have had nothing to talk about anyway. Its not like you all would believe me if I just said I was town it did not work in day so why would it in twlight. I wanted to see if any of the reactions felt unnatural because I find scum struggle with curveballs and adapting to them. Nobody really stood out though I still think Vaimes is scum though. Really confused by KJ this game as well.

Could just post only once in 2-3 days. The site phases are still 2 weeks, right? The pages are piling.
And the game is Tales of Berseria. Not sure what my games look like, especially after a year break, but probably very formidable.

Until the flip I'm going to assume Jack is frustrated scum, and pulled the "I was just pretending" gambit when he realised he needed to kill conversation.
Why I think that (and why I won't care much if I'm wrong):
I could try and pretend I'm town still but no point. Having 2 scum games at once on 2 new sites. Was a bit too much for me mentally
. Really annoyed at how much my scum game has fell.
(Bolding mine) One of those scum games is this one. I found (what I believe is) the other one through Google Fu. I think Whispy was in that game too, as Wiisp (I remember him vaguely mentioning an offsite game).
In that game, scum-Jack got lynched in LyLo. I read his reactions to his lynch and two quotes really struck me:
Quote from Jackrito in response to the hammer, post 2921 page 74 »
I don't have the personality to do strong pushs unless I'm 100 per cent oh well we lost. guess next time I play, its better to do just do nothing all game make up reads and do bad gambits because that is how to get town read whatever.
Quote from Jackrito in postgame, post 2944 page 74 »
Gg I would rather not talk too much aboutt this. I have a lot of frusations from this game which can be seem in my scum chat. I had fun mostly though just annoyed I could not clutch out
The first quote shows him pretending to be angry town in Twilight (rings a bell?). The second quote shows him genuinely frustrated at... I don't know exactly, I haven't read enough, but I assume himself.
In short, everything that's happening right now falls perfectly within scum-Jackrito's range. 2924 were his sincere feelings, but was a mistake (essentially letting the town get a headstart on Day 4) that he tried to repair by pretending it was a reaction test (from which he got zero worthwhile reaction, and from which he struggles to reach any conclusion at all despite getting what he wanted )
If I'm right, that means Jack has a tell where, to him, his scum game is serious business and he gets really emotionally invested into it and frustrated when things don't go his way (which he shows as acting angry towards the town). For the record, the frustrated town-Jack I saw in Prison (small sample size and different contexts, I know) was lost and confused and showed no anger (of this sort, anyway).
And if I'm wrong? It means I had the wrong impression on Jack's character and his ego is far more bloated than I thought, and he's bad at seeing his own mistakes (all players make mistakes and sometimes play below their self-expected level, including ones far better than you, Jack).
Anyway. With a Jack scumflip, I have the same bottom two as tom (Sloth and KJ). With a Jack townflip, I'm not sure yet, my main conclusion is that Uma and dawninggrapesky look slightly worse.
I think I'd still go after Sloth regardless. Nothing justifies the progression from 2973 ("Wtf Jack" "it feels like it's just scum trolling" "I'll disregard [what substantial things he says] till the actual flip") to 2998 ("I've thought Jack was town literally all game, and his progression since his claimed gambit has strengthened that belief.").
For the record there was no progression from Jack in that time span, you can check for yourselves that the most and only noticeable thing he did was weakly push Whispy. (If he's scum, that's most likely spew.)
To what, etc.? Jerle Ruule Batra, said a familiar voice. Good-day.
The It’s My Party And I’ll Sing If I Want To was an Escarpment-class GCU which had been strongly associated with Special Circumstances for nearly as long as Jerle Batra himself. Batra had no idea where the ship actually was in a true, physical sense, but the old craft had gone to the trouble of sending a working-scale personality construct to talk to him here on Prasadal. This implied a matter of more than passing importance.
To you too, he sent, wherever.
Thank you. How goes your peace conference?
Slowly. Having exhausted the possibilities of every other form of mass-murder they could possibly employ against each other, the natives now appear intent on boring each other to death. They may finally have discovered their true calling.
Still, cause for optimism. However, to business.
By all means.
Listen to this.
There followed a compressed version of the message sent by the Now We Try It My Way to its old home MSV, the Qualifier, describing its odd encounter with what had appeared to be an Oct ship above the planet Zaranche, but hadn’t been.
It is believed that the whole Oct fleet above Zaranche, save for one Primarian-class ship, probably the first arrived, was not really there. It was a ghost fleet.
The Oct are at that stage, though, aren’t they? Batra sent. They’re still trying to puff themselves up, still trying on parents’ shoes, making themselves look bigger.
No, the GCU’s construct sent. We don’t think the Oct are trying to look more impressive than they are, not in this case.
Wind moved through Batra’s bushy body like a sigh. What happened after the close encounter? he asked, dutifully.
We don’t know. Haven’t been able to contact the Erratic since. Could have been captured. Conceivably, even, destroyed. A ship – a warship, no less – has been sent to investigate, though it’s still eight days away.
Destroyed? Batra suppressed a laugh. Seriously? Are we within capabilities here? The Governor, DawningBlueSky, has activated the following ability:
Pardon [Active] (1-shot): You have the power over life and death. Once per game, during twilight, you can prevent an execution by majority vote by PMing the game host. Your player name, this ability, and your role name (“Governor”) will be revealed by the game host and the day will end without an execution. You may not use this ability if you have the most votes or are tied for the most votes.
Jackrito has been pardoned and will not be executed at the end of the current phase. It is Twilight. You may continue posting. Twilight ends at 11:59:59 PM Eastern time on 17 May 2020.
Twilight may end early; there will be at least one hour of warning before the thread closes and it will not close before 7:00 PM Eastern on the 17th.
I would like to think this makes DBS town since scum having that is insane to me to begin with and using it here is even more insane you save that for an actual teammate, unless this is some big play to keep focus on me still which I don't want to endure. The latter I doubt a lot
Until the flip I'm going to assume Jack is frustrated scum, and pulled the "I was just pretending" gambit when he realised he needed to kill conversation.

Me being more invested as scum is not a hidden tell I'm very open about it. Also that off site game I had frusation because I ****ed up and should of won but let my better nature stop me which is a common theme and a personal hate.
I can be invested as town also though if I want to be it depends largely on player base and game. I put the 2 scum games at once to make it sound more real and I'm disappointed in my scum game in general it's not what I want it to ne so added that in.
I lacked progression because I had checked out of this game to focus on others. Seems I need to get invested again which I can do but is not what I expected.
Also I would appreciate if you stop brining my ego into this when you do reads on me it is one of my main frusations with this game state. It is a unneeded jab.
...Part of me feels annoyed 'cause I wanted to either be vindicated or proven wrong already and now we don't get that.
The rest of me is also annoyed because game opinion is totally unchanged on Jack, with me and a few (anyone?) on one side of the situation, and most of the towncleared on the other. So all we've done is repeating this bs toMorrow?
@Phraze: Talk more about why you chose to use your ability now?
@all: Is Governor a town-sided role in general?
Either way we have another dichotomy here because there's no way KJ/Grape are aligned and you know who I'd go for based off #2999.
The first quote shows him pretending to be angry town in Twilight (rings a bell?)
...no? He hasn't really seemed angry at all this Twilight, fake or otherwise. Unless you're talking about his behavior outside of twilight, which is irrelevant for the point you're driving.
Of course there's something that justifies it: Absolute certainty and belief in myself over anyone else.
My immediate reaction was to be annoyed at being wrong. Like I said, up to him literally saying he was scum, I had him as town. I think his posts since show that he was doing something with the gambit - whether or not it was a good one is irrelevant, he was still trying to accomplish something pro-town. I owed it to myself to stick to what I thought was right and make sure the thread knew it before the flip. So, here we are.
@Vaimes I very much don't think that he's the most obvious conditional day ability that could be used toDay but only if Rhand's shot doesn't end the day.
I think he's softing to make sure he's not the shot.
I mean he's ~kind of locked himself into a claim that he now has to prove this phase. Softing to dodge a daykill isn't exactly a long-term solution.
The role I'm thinking of would buy him a full phase and I'm very confident he's not the role I'm thinking. There are other possibilities but they don't really fit his criteria.
And given the excellent position we're in I doubt scum are thinking long term at the moment.
I didn't even know u were hammered, I was wondering what people were waiting for at this point, Ive been at work all day, when I made that post, I did not know u were hammered
There was no contradiction lmao
I didn't know Jack was hammered, I don't care that I made a post like 3 posts after
this will not be the road I get mislynched on, I swear it
Well great, now nothing jack says can actually be taken seriously until the flip. So we get 30 hours to just crap all.
If this is real, it will be exactly as effective as when but did it in horsemen (that is to say not at all). And if it’s fake it’s dumb.
This was me very unambiguously saying that Jack shouldn’t be pardoned. But frick all right?
I'm legit mad as heck right now, Jack should not have been pardoned.
@ZDS: I thought you were governor, so I wrong on that too.
Basically whatever happens, Jack is the lynch tomorrow instead. (And absolutely should be, this is massive bullcrap)
Wait. @KJ does your ability activate?
If I was to describe how jack looks exactly, it would be “scum that gave up, and was immediately yelled at in scum chat because a governor could exist”.

Thank you for choosing
Rodemy Pizza
It’s not the best choice, but it’s a choice nonetheless
I mean KJ is now "most likely scum" but its not like we dont still need to resolve jack.
I was just trying not to talk about it because ill end up bullying dawning (who is town and should quit mafia forever regardless of jacks alignment)
He said anyone other than whoever has the most votes
that is actually nuts
especially given that town had a desperado
think we should hammer this sooner than later
maybe Shadow can get his thoughts in before had though
Eh. Maybe he did miss it
your the real hero
@shadow
that is a fair assessment
the whole twilight thing is NAI anyways given my inability to read/remember everything before posting
the PoE is tight, we still got this
at least we got some new information from all this
and regardless of Killjoy's alignment, he should be using his ability if he can to fix this
If I was to describe how jack looks exactly, it would be “scum that gave up, and was immediately yelled at in scum chat because a governor could exist”.
I thought the same thing.
Obviously the scum in question has to be Killjoy. He posted soon after the Big RevealTM, but had 0 reaction to it (2965).
I mean KJ is now "most likely scum" but its not like we dont still need to resolve jack.
I was just trying not to talk about it because ill end up bullying dawning (who is town and should quit mafia forever regardless of jacks alignment)
Regardless of how you feel, this is still something you need to keep out of the thread.

If I knew they was any chance of that lynch being overturned I would of not done anything. The one time I try something fancy before dying. I get pulled back into it after to be lynched again. If KJ is real please overturn it I don't want to be in the exact same gamestate again. Its painful for my pride enough to be mislynced once having to endure it a second time and it being much worse is a personal hell for me and hard to come back from as a player.
@Jack, enough with the pity party. If you’re town, interact within the PoE as much as you can; poke, prod, and generally create content. If you’re scum, do the same. As claimed, KJ can’t target you regardless, so it doesn’t matter. But really, no more self focused posting, it won’t help you, won’t endear you to anyone, and won’t help solve the game.
In any case, I've got the full set-up figured out:
— Tubba (mafia conditional killer + rolecop immunity) VS despeRhando + mystery rolecop
— Killjoy (mafia judge) VS dawningGrapesky (town governor)
— Jackrito (mafia roleblocker) VS shadow (town jailer)
— Slothful (mafia mystery investigative) VS Johnny (town watcher)
— The rest don't matter.
Nice set-up Silver, a little on the swingy side.
ToMorrow we lynch Jack (again), unless we decide to go for another one of these since I just solved the game and we don't really need our PRs anymore. We could keep Jack alive until the last Day until there's nothing left of his pride. Maybe at that point he'll stop worrying about "pride" and "ego" and meeting his self-expectations, and will play well instead.
(That post was baseless but is probably still correct nonetheless)
(Yes Jack, I'm extremely rude towards you, because I care about you)
I'm pretty set on a Vaimes or KJ lynch still nothing much has changed for me there. I still don't see sloth as scum but sort of accpeted the fact that he may of pocketed me to a degree and I can clearly be wrong on him.
I think Wisp is still town off meta reasons less gameplay because I feel his play and interactions are not great.
Rod is possible scum also like Tom said but just not feeling it and really don't want to iso him to find out more atm. I likely will during the next day though since I'm stuck here now so may as well make the most of it.

Well, her ability doesn't have a not-in-LyLo clause so I agree it essentially clears her (that role as scum is "if you get to 3v2, you win").
I don't know how it interacts with KJ's role.
Silver, does the current situation count as not lynching, or does it count as lynching but no one dies?
(By the way I had Grape-dbs as pseudo-cleared for the exact quotes tom pulled out.)
Jack, the progression thing is a point against Sloth, not against you. You just proved my point was valid.
I will keep taking jabs at your ego until your ego stops being relevant to reading you.
Sloth, is this what caught scum looks to you? Are you that mad about the cookie?
such garbage play, no amount of a town reading should warrant this especially when people are still uncertain of his flip

the whole twilight thing is NAI anyways given my inability to read/remember everything before posting
the PoE is tight, we still got this
at least we got some new information from all this
and regardless of Killjoy's alignment, he should be using his ability if he can to fix this
Obviously the scum in question has to be Killjoy. He posted soon after the Big RevealTM, but had 0 reaction to it (2965).
...
Why did you use your ability on Jack?
I dont think she should quit mafia
I do think she sucks tho
KJ probably can't activate on Jack because Jack has the most votes, unless being pardoned just removes him as an option anyways.
(Yes Jack, I'm extremely rude towards you, because I care about you)
Feels nice to town together homie
I think Wisp is still town off meta reasons less gameplay because I feel his play and interactions are not great.
