You both put your head in the sand and just passed Umani for whatever god forsaken reason and refused to take a second look.
I couldn't actually be angrier.
Come on GJ, don't be salty at Rhand or Sloth. The only reason they didn't doubt I was a rebel is because you didn't to try to solve until the final minute and then it was too late. The "I just want to get on a mission" strategy doesn't really work for good guys in this game. You really have to want to solve early to win.
I definitely think vanilla resistance is pretty wolfsided for forums; there's a variant where instead of role cards the mission leader gets a random 1-shot ability and has to choose someone else to give it to, we could try that if we want to run this again.
(Though I also think there weren't enough mission rejections early, we're probably accepting missions too quickly as a player group.)
I also think deadlines are still a bit too long for it but I'm not sure how I would shrink them. Maybe like 3/2 with weekends off or something.
Anyway GG all and congrats to the Spies (Umami, Killjoy, Shadow) and Vaimes for getting it right at the end.
Each player gets 12 hours to propose, after which there's 12 hours to vote and for the mod to produce results, meaning everything is done in a day.
It's a little cramped, but I feel this game kinda has to be cramped and fast-paced for it to work? It took far too long as is without constant No-votes on the first missions.
In fact, I think I would be interested in the craziness of 12/12 with one low-PR tossed in, so sign me up if it happens.
Although what keeps the PR from claiming and being townfirmed immediately (which is kind of unfair for Scum)? Unless it's against the rules for them to?
The way it works in face to face is there's a deck of cards with 1-shot powers on them, at the beginning of the mission the first mission leader draws a card from the deck and reads it out loud but (usually) can't use himself, he has to give it to someone else to use (so everyone knows who has it).

This person reviewed the game and also included hi-res images of the plot cards with a Mass Effect reskin (convenient!)
And yeah basically on Proposals 1.1, 2.1, 3.1, 4.1, 5.1 the mission leader draws a plot card and gives it to a player (one of them makes the leader do something instead)
Most of them are stuff like "reveal your alignment to the player of your choice" so spies can pick a partner or someone who is being read as a spy that no one trusts and stuff like that
Was proposal 5.4 accepted by the majority of players?
Or was 5.4 rejected, leading to 5.5 for KJ, and an automatic scum victory?
We didn't have a majority of votes yet but I didn't bother waiting because the proposal was a loss for town if accepted and KJ's was also a loss for town if Rhand's was rejected.
I agree with everyone saying that the game dragged. It was exacerbated by my spotty modding but I think that it would have been too long regardless.
I really enjoy resistance and think it can work on forums but we definitely haven't cracked it here and I'm low on idea's to revamp. Quicker would be better but I don't know if our playerbase who remains interested in Resistance could support a 24/12 or a 12/12. Definitely a game that benefits from a quick pace and tight modding and I just didn't provide the latter which made the former impossible even with several quick nominations and most players being very prompt with submitting their votes.

As far as declining that mission...fair
And yeah, I didn’t take any high risk votes because it was really easy to get from me to you since I basically wrote you off as town after mission 2

I'll see if I can find the rules real fast.
They tunneled.
Period, end of discussion.
Enjoy the win.

Fast-pacing seems like it'd make this game very enjoyable, imo.
