2019 is almost over so it's time for another awards thread!
We are planning on doing another podcast this year with help from Osieorb18 and Ecophagy, but we're still ironing out the details.
Here are your directions!
You may nominate up to one person per category of awards in this thread.
Once nominations are complete, you may vote for as many awards as you'd like.
Send us your memorable moments, including great instances of individual play, sportsmanship, good humor, or anything else!
Patiently wait for the podcast to be recorded and the winners to be announced.
You don't need to submit a nomination or a vote for every category to participate - the more people we have involved, the better the awards will be.
Thanks in advance for participating! Nominations will remain open until at least January 4th, two weeks from today.

KoolKoal: Feel free to take this with a grain of salt since self meta isn't particularly helpful, but I think I get scumread mostly for style over substance, but also for a certain lack of substance over style. It's not so much what I AM posting most of the time (though sometimes that can seem bad) but what I'm NOT posting. I've been told I come to non-obvious conclusions a lot, so when I post, quite a bit of the time there's jumps in logic that people can't follow and they think that's scummy. I get that accusation about a lot of questions I ask specifically. People call them "busy work" when the questions are legit etc.
As far as things to ignore, I can't think of anything. I would suggest you focus less on what I'm doing and more on how I'm doing it. That's probably more likely to be accurate. Like I've just said, what I do tends to come off a little weird, but if you look for how I do it, mindset comes into play and maybe you figure out something useful.
Player Awards:
Best Town Performance (Individual) - Axelrod in Modern Mafia. Honorable mention to Dkingsland in the same game.

Player Awards:
Best Town Performance (Individual): Sir Chris in DitF Mafia. Town lost this game (to Sir Chris getting quick lynched in LyLo!), but all of this would've ended much faster had not Sir Chris replaced in, and dragged the town to right course. It almost worked, until he got quick lynch last day before he could even open the thread...
Best Mafia Performance (Individual): tomsloger in Modern Mafia. Again, while they did lose the game, tom seriously deserves some credit how he managed to get away with more or less everything pointing towards he being scum for several days...

Best Newcomer: While technically not new to mafia, I think RE1031 hasn't played here before 2019?
Nah, RE1031 was playing here several years ago. But Thousand_Winds, xequalsy, zdtsd are all new (albeit one-shots thus far).
Not reposting nominations that have already been posted above.
Player Awards:
Best Town Performance (Individual): Killjoy (GoT)
Best Overall Player: tomsloger
Best Newcomer: zdtsd
Most Entertaining Player: tomsloger
Most Improved Player: I really feel like both Killjoy and Vezokpiraka have upped their game this year.

Rhand is a big nerd who played 11 (out of 14) games.
Congratulations to Cantipmancer who has the best win rate at 66% in his 9 games.
Special commiserations to Rumanashi for playing the most games without a win (5).
Best 3rd Party Performance (Individual) - tom, GoT. Yes my role pm said town. Otherwise i was clearly on only my own team.
5-0 on wincons
Best Town Performance (Group) - rock paper scissors. Literally perfect. 2 correct lynches, stopped the kill.
Best Town Player - axel
Best Mafia Player - shadow
Best overall player - cantrip
Most Improved Player - its kj as town and vaimes as scum
they both went from a liability to a real asset to their teams as those alignment
Mod Awards:
Best Design - ghostbusters. I absolutely loved the elegance of aligment splits, and took some crazy risks with swingy roles
Best Flavor - rock paper scissors obviously
many scholars believe rock paper scissors has been around since before humans developed fingers. Mostly everyone chose rock, and would often illustrate the pure power of the choice
Best Role - the crazy bodyguard in ghostbusters. I still dont know if its better or worse than a regular bodyguard but its definitely more interesting and flavorful
You can decide for yourself how great and/or crazy it was, but I thoroughly enjoyed mass-trolling Tom in GoT with my Samwell Tarly ability. (Sorry Tom. (Not sorry; would troll again.))
Rhand is a big nerd who played 11 (out of 14) games.
